the problem i have with using the voice recognition api for that is when it goes a certain time and recieves no speech it gives a dialogue for "cancel" or " try again" which is effectively time its spending NOT responding to speech recognition. and it will not respond at all til you manually press one of those buttons.

i wish there was something i could do to make the api silently fail or automatically select "try again"
