Actually, it was Germany that declared war on the USA, we had no choice. Hitler wanted to show support for Japan and contempt for US. It would have been a different world if Hitler had not done so, IMO.
I don't disagree; solar and wind power is MORE than enough to power ALL our electric and ALL our transport if we have electric cars (leave out air travel).
