they are not fast but they can jump like crazy. you shouldent handle them without plastic metical clove's though.

try to feed it in a seprate cage where it will be easy for the frog to find its food and try to dust the crikets with a supplument wich you can find at your pet store and in their real home just keep it out of direct sunnlight and use one of those reptile lights and if that dont work just leve me a comment ok

xD Nope,Its ok,I just found out frogs have something that lets them camoflauge,Its slight color change,They turn black or brown at night so preditors who can see in the dark can't see them but I still leave the light on :3

They are green when The light is on,And I turn the light off at night..In the morning they look brown,And even sometimes BLACK! I usually turn on the light and I see they turn brighter right away.After a Few minutes,Green! I need a suggestion,Is this Bad?

mine only eat crickets i have tryed to use worms but thay run off and thay cant find them in my tank and its hard to hand feed them so i stick with 2 dozin a week crickets

I got 13 red eyes in there now.. i seed them one time a week 2 doz crickits. for lighting low light of any kind i use a 15wat one from Zoomed day time the team is 78 at night 82 in the day time with 90% humit. with built in fan so if it get to hot it kicks on to cool it down also keep water off the face for viewing :)

Hey tre, hope you respond i newly got my tank set up and i have 4 baby tree frogs. When you feed your frogs do you find them and put them in a seperate container? Every time i have tried to feed the frogs (flies or crickets) the bugs get all over the place and then die. None of the bugs get eaten. I have a false bottom tank with live moss/plants etc and am having trouble with feeding. Help if you can

ONE MORE QUESTION if I may... how often do you feed each frog? I'm feeding my frog a couple of crickets every few days... too much you recon?? (last two i fed were dusted in calcium)

with this tank i drop about 4duzen ever 2 weeks into so when thay need foos thay just have to look for it.. I have got the Crickets to love int he tank as weel so thay last log for the most part when thay die off cuz every thing is living in the tank it is like furtilzer for the tank so it sll work out good :)

ok, that's great that your crickets survive in there.

I dropped in about a dozen when I first got the tank and thought it'd be ok... thinking the frog will just go searching when he's hungry, but I ended up getting ammonia in the water, only to realise there were heaps of crickets which has drowned and I couldn't reach them to take them out. I have done a couple of water changes so water is better now. I am just hand feeding my frog, a couple a day now.

Amazing, im looking into getting tree frogs. i have a 27gal hexagon tank on hold for me, any suggestions on which to keep? I figured i'd be going with the good ol green tree frogs but i'd like something a little more exotic. I looked into red eyes but im not sure if it'll be enough room. Any help would be great thanks!

It is dark cuz my frogs cant havr lot of sun light. its made to be like the rain forest.. it 6 feet all 4 feet wide 2 feet deep. Thanks is 65g tank. the pets in there are 3 red eye tree frog 1 White 2 barking and a Tiger salamander to help cleen the botem of the tank.
