  • Well acted, good lines, great battle scene, but the audio was patchy at best. All around though, great job! :)

  • If you're here for the light saber battle it starts at 6:37.

  • Great video! I enjoyed it!

  • where's that accent from? India or Arabic?

  • @arsdag81 Filipino

  • this is so cool!!!! =]]]

  • When I saw the title "Twilight Jedi" I thought Obi-Wan was going to slice off Edward Cullen's head... I'm disappointed :(

  • its so dorky and nerdy dont watch it

  • Nice looking forest. great video guys.

  • Ok story to work with. Good effort made. Bad directing. Bad acting. No eye to detail. Not executed well. With same effort n same budget, u cud hv done miracles, if u pay attention to wht ur showing visually too. A good story only goes tht far. Peace n love....good effort.

  • i`m only pay $1.25 for this video clip

  • great film.

  • I'm sort of tired with the 'super-opinionated jedi' approach used in many fanfilms. What happened to plain old good vs evil?

  • This is freakin' wicked!

  • to mutch talk and so little fights, but its still fucking awesome how can this only have 132,626 views?!?

  • To the guy who said only kids and teens should like Star Wars: First off, It's unamerican to have NOT seen star wars, and Second, You probably lack the ability to judge a good movie anyway. So should prolly go violate yourself with a lightsaber you communist. Bad ass Video

  • you go...person! :)

  • Whoa awesome! :O

  • stars wars was made in the 70s 80s around those times so when it 1st came out the adults of today were kids which is y u get these sados lool doing things like this movie

  • wow dude, watch who ur fuck'n with I'm 20 and Ive loved star wars even b4 they were re-realised in the 90's!

and star wars is for everyone its not pointed at any age and in my opinion i thinks its to dark for really young kids, but trust me man i agree with Mack1adam it is un American not to see star wars,

and don't fuck with star wars fans we defend it very well.

  • some ppl would say that about cirque de freak that someone who is 17 shouldn't be reading those...but according to your profile they do

  • Cool!

  • Why do -EVERY- lightsaber duel end like that? EVERYONE OF THEM, one falls to his knees/the ground and is about to die, but then out of nowhere he picks up his lightsaber and thrusts it into the opponent

  • so true

  • Because so many people think that it is cool. In fact it is the first time and I've used it once until I realised that everybody does it. Then I stopped.

  • aswome so cool

  • Nice fanfilm... Really enjoyed the visual effect!

Some of the scenes could have used a little more emotional or visual tension. Some more movement from the actors or switching between angles... The actors and some scenes seemed a little static... Tho not a lot of people have access to a steadycam rig or a dolly to add movemement

    It's really appealing to watch!

  • That is a freaking good script!

  • Great work guys, awesome effort! Dialogues and storyline is good although the speech delivery could use some work but that would be asking too much from a fanfilm.

Chars are interesting too and the swordfight is very decent!

  • The lightsaber battle was better than every one I've seen sans Luke vs. Darth Vader it was more furious than episode 1 against Darth Maul.

  • If you want to see really intense lightsaber battle, look up Ryan vs. Dorkman

  • Ryan vs. Dorkman rocks!

  • Good acting, good SFX, good story. Couldn't ask for more!

  • lol touches of escrima

  • Pighter. Porce. hahahaha.

  • These fan films need to be reviewed by George Lucas and these videos need to be turned T.V. episodes.

  • I agree!

  • not bad considering its 3 years old. the voice acting could be a little better, and the coreographing wasn't well rehersed. but over it all it gets a 7 out of 10.

I can't say that its the best fan film out there, but its in the top 25

  • Nice work! The ships in the sky were very effective!

  • nuts i didnt mean to rate it one star its a good fanfilm :D

  • I knew they would say "I have a bad feeling about this" they say it in every starwars ep.

  • too much talk

  • LOVE it...I won't even knock the kicks that were thrown...

  • Great original dialogue, rather than quotes from the movies.

    I liked the effects.

  • This was really good.

please tell me what editing softwars that you used.

  • This video is soo awesome.

  • It's good, but you guys could work way better in the fight.

  • Not a bad movie, good short story to go with it.

  • SO SOUP OPPERAA...

  • Quite nice. Acting was decent. Difficult story to follow but the fight sceen made up for it. Excellent work.

  • cool story line and action

  • This is the Philippines?

    It's lovely.

  • ...fighting scene was too short but keep it up...plus...you guys did a good job on the script

  • the star destroyer in the end was awesome great graphics though i wish i could have seen what the surviving brother did next

  • guys.. this was great!!! yep, we want more plz.

  • How do you get the opening credits and lightsaber blades?

  • good job guys im giving it a 5 star for creativity and drive. i love the Phils lol.

  • Ferus Olin was the man

  • pretty good

    reminds me of ferus olin

  • realy good movie but i wish the fight scene was longer

  • Who cares about the talking? I'd rather the talking in the video, instead of without. With the talking, it really sets the mood for the final battle, and just adds to the tension. My computer lagged some when the batte was going on, but I got the gist of it in the end. Fantastic movie.

How much did it cost to create?

  • Thanks. The budget was 20,000 Philippine pesos (which is about $400) using a Sony DV handicam with nice shutterspeed settings. Most of the money went to prop-making, the costumes, and the food and transpo for the actors.

The sequel--which is taking longer to produce--is going to be a LOT bigger, faster..and more intense ;) Just watch out for it.

  • All the lines and everything just for youtube i say good use of your time great actors have to start small tho

  • to much fuckin talk and get a little more practice on your acting just a hint but other wise interesting story

  • eh it was okay. I wonder if they'll make some more hope they upgrade the effects and everything, their mini story is what kept me watching all in all not bad not that great either dorkman should incorporate a little bit of a storyline themselves. whats their nationality anyway? they look malaysian or maybe vietnamese

  • awesome but too much talk...

  • Why you talk so much, that fights from you are much more exciting.

  • For some reason, the pinoy accents work... Like, that's how the people on that planet talk naturally. Coolness.

I like the conflict of philosophies on using the force. Good job guys.

  • lol sweet video some mad tie fighters :D

  • As far as fan films go it was nice I'd give it about a 9/10 but you shouldn't have used Star Wars if you didn't have great top of the line equipment, it's just too much to live up to when it comes to that, the sound was okay but could have been better, but overall it was pretty good

  • It's freaking Philippines where they made this.... Props over there cost so much...

20,000 pecos.... Filipinos would be lucky tohave 200 pecos over there... its just hard toget that much money... And i should know... I lived there

  • sweet

  • that was friggen awesome!

  • 4 stars! awesome!

  • really good movie. go Philippines!

  • Philipinos r da best!

  • Pretty good movie man. I like the sky effect at the end. I'll give it 4 stars

  • nice video graphics were aswsome mabe take away some of the talking i was about to exit out until the fighting came

  • a story of a mis guided jedi and one about a pasafist good story line to think the jedi could had fought against them selves over what to next about the empire they should have put more thougt into the story line but still pretty decent

  • very good however, dont talk so much in the next one good plot and storyline though

  • decent

  • wow! xDD Sweet~! xDDDD For something fan-made this is awesome >_O

  • boring!

  • lahat mukhang padre men

  • not bad........not good.....but not bad next time fight more talk less

  • I am the true Dark Lord of the Sith. I Darth Tantious will rule the galaxy!!!!

  • Marshal Ray, go to bed.

  • great costumes, and a good story idea.... continue it please, he needs to escape before he is hunted down. I liked it.

  • haha...i watched it because judgin by the title "twilight jedi" i thought edward was going to be in it..lol...im retarted..haha

  • I Thought That Too

  • My first impression was "oh no, what have they done?" But when I watched it it was pretty good. Not painfull in the least bit.

    Kudoes, Kudoes.

  • you're just so jealous you poor wanker can't do smth of these proportions:))

  • or just one of those uber twilight fans expecting this to have something to do with their vampire stuff...

gee, it's titled Twilight Jedi, as if twilight were just exclusive to vampires :P retards i swear. haha.

  • I love when people use there films to be based between episode 3-4. it adds new life to star wars! nice job guys

  • Thats a new spin on Starwars.. kinda like it too.

  • I thought this was pretty good. Loved the accents actually, gave it a star wars flavour if you ask me. and JP Agcaoili did a great job acting.

  • hahaha...I can make out the hard Filipino accents...but the fight scenes are good, but it's too dark, and the background in the beginning is not very true to Star Wars...i can see the hollow block bg...

but good overall for a fan film

  • Wow. This was cool!

  • This isn't a crack on the film but listen Nerds remember - women come first. If you have touched more lightsabers than (beep) then maybe it's time to go outside and get a date.

  • hmpf..my lightsaber is a "beep" and it is strong in the ways of the force. it has sunk its length in many a path in the dark side.

  • Frigging awsome! :D

  • ya i really wish they would contuinu with the moives

  • Luke Skywalker, in the ongoing story after ep. 6 (as in the books) turned to the Dark Side, and it took Leia - also turned a Jedi - to bring him back to the Light Side of the Force.

The story of Star Wars goes on for a LONG TIME after ep. 6 through the books, and this is the reason why there could easily be a TV series (like Star Trek for instance managed a long time to run on TV) based on the SW Universe and the ongoing story of our 'Heroes' (I Love Capitals)

  • That's why I never count the books as part of the Star Wars saga, besides, George Lucas didn't write them anyway.

    That's just my opinion.

  • Thats good, some are purely interested in the movies only, and others in the ongoing storyline as approved and supported by - but not created - George Lucas. Since I tend to give more people than just George Lucas the benefit of the doubt that their minds can also come up with something great, my opinion is that the ongoing storyline is pretty awesome :)

  • HAHAAHAHAH THIS MOVIE WAS HILARIOUS

"EEET DEEEDNT HAAAFFF TOOO EEEND THEEES WAAAAY"

    "nooo"

    LOL

  • Why do almost all people say the prophecy didnt came true, it actually did. "He will bring Balance to the force". Well he did, It wouldnt have been if he killed the sith, cause then there would be only light, and no dark.

  • The superficial, where Anakanin did not bring balance to the force, instead he brought a massacre over the jedi, and the dark side prevailed. In the end though he killed the Emperor. On a deeper level the jedi ruled, then Anakin brought balance through the dark side, a short lived balance. On 3rd level, spiritual balance within oneself can only be expressed through being a jedi, thus eradicating the sith, the light side prevailing

  • For me, yes Anakin did destroy the jedi, but I interpreted "balance to the force" mainly through his children. Yes episodes 3 to 6 Anakin is representing the dark side and his children, specifically Luke, represents the Light side, hence Anakin did bring balance. And once Anakin died, for those who read and those who know, you'll always have Jedi who turn to the dark side so hence balance is still maintained.

  • anakin did bring a balance just it took a longer span of time than originally expected. If you forgot he killed the emperor. Threw him down that shaft.

  • Yes and no. At that time Anakin and the Emperor, that equals 2 siths. Luke equals 1 Jedi. Anakin kills the emperor and dies, that leaves only Luke. 1 Jedi. Having only 1 thing isn't balance. Think of it more of a restart. Anakin brought balance by eliminating everything and letting it start all over again, through his children. Through the actions of Luke and Leia and the establishing of the new academy, and the new Jedi who turn away became the new sith.

  • man i love starwars Lol

  • so... the prophecy IS false. It's just another system of control. (God I love matrix references :D)

When you think of it that way it does make since. One remains allowing everything to restart. Though from what I understand the balance was achieved. Luke wasd neither light nor dark. Instead he was a balance of the two. Remember he almost let his anger kill his father. A true Jedi wouldnt even shed a single tear much less let there anger go unchecked.

  • i would've loved to see those 2 jedis in the films even for just a few seconds of lightsaber action scenes. i like their characters.

  • Nice one, I enjoyed it. Clothing, atmosphere, effects and the storyboard are very good. Just sound- and video quality can be better. 4 Stars

  • it was a fantastic video. although some things could have been better. all in all though its really good

  • da jedi was ignorant to da trrue natior ub de porce! Classic line.

  • that was quite god for a fan film (Y) =]

  • good video cool effects and cool suits!

  • Decent saber action for once. Well done!

  • Why not?

  • yu ist lame-sauce, all are welcome in the jedi order

  • Jedis can be of any race. haven't you watched episode 2? i saw a Chinese girl lol.

  • this was odd, some of it was extremely good, like the fighting but other things sucked ass like the physical hits

  • In my opinion, a disapointment and disgrace to George Lucas' creation. And there are too many flaws to even begin to mention.

  • how do u make the lightsabre affects

  • Cool. love the story plot of this.

  • Finally a video with actual accents that are real. It gives it a other worldly feel, unlike Lucas who thinks British accents are all that are out there.

  • lol half or its american

  • uh, both obi wans: their accents were real. look up where they are both from.

  • if this is the first time ya guys did this, then i find myself forced to say that it's not a bad job at all. the fighting was of the highest quality i must say. maybe you should consider putting together a better, longer movie. ;)

  • We are starting work on a miniseries this year, a sequel to this fanfilm. I ain't giving out details yet, but think stormtroopers, guerilla fighting, Vader...and Rambo. haha

    Thanks for the comments :)

  • oh no... no rambo!

ye wouldn't wanna ruin a good starwars fan film by putting rambo in it, now would ya? ;)

anyway, good luck with the miniseries and thumbs up :D

  • Hahaha, I didn't mean Rambo literally.

If this one was based on old samurai movies, the next ones will be somehow inspired by First Blood. Somehow. :)

  • For an amateur flick/project, I'd say this is a hell of a great job!!

  • the acting was weak, good effects, the storyline was... odd to say the least but was good.

  • OK effects but the acting could use some work

  • good stuff, some nerd should ad this to his expanded universe bible ^^

  • Wow. Absolutly fantastic.

    Truly marvellous job.

  • I thought this was pretty well made :)

    well done

  • I did really enjoy this movie.. Great acting and story. But you could have added some more characters with specific opinions about the empire. Otherwise it was great and well made movie ;)

  • The acting wasn't actually all that bad. I thought this was well done and didn't make unnecessary long scenes. Music and sound effects could have been edited better though. Great fanfilm!

  • the intro says destroy the sith.a jedi would say return balance to the universe(force) i didnt care for how loud the sound effects are other wise i liked it

  • I like the accents, well written and good that there's some dialogue and not just straight to the fight.

  • u guys seem to have made it too asian like, i don't know imo that's wat it felt like. kinda like one of those jap samurai movies or that movie the last samurai.

  • Yes, that was the exact aim of the fanfilm. Even the title is an homage to a samurai film.

  • other than that i think it was really good, prob could of used more characters.

  • ohh btw

    awesome accents!!!

    BETTER THAN THE BRITISH ACCENTS

  • dayuuum!!!

    ahaaa

    putangina!

DEENG DAT SHEIT IS FUCCIN TIGHT AS HELL!!

    FILIPINO JEDI!!!

    WE KIK WHITE BOi AZZ

  • wow waste of fucking time . asains rnt jedi's, looks gay

  • serri killar ni är för seriösa

  • tha was skill although the music wasn't very good u sould use music from the actual film

  • i liked it compared to other fan vids. it was rly well writen and captured the feel of starwars well. the acting could have been better tho. but i liked the special effects of the tie fighters and the star destroyer, that was rly cool.

  • the guy with the green is smart

  • Accent schmaccent-the video was alright, being a fan film, but it could have had more storyline to it.

  • I thought it was a good effort.

I totally disagree with the comments claiming there's no good reason for them to fight.

Shard has fallen to the darkside and Oniron senses it and decides to stop him from becoming a greater evil then he is trying to stop.

That's how I saw it anyway.

  • i totally agree with that being the reason they fought

i thought the acting was eh could be better

i loved how he killed him tho, while stting it was pretty cool

but the head dropping was really corny stuff

  • lol yes, it reminded me of one of those old 1950s ninja movies where they just get stabbed and they're like "NOOOO! I REPENT" Acting could have been much better.

However, it was Shard who first pulled the lightsaber, remember? He was angry with Orion for not helping him. Would you just randomly pull out and hold a gun to someone's head if they did not enter into a war you wanted them in?

  • why is it sith have to die before they ask for giveness for there sins?

  • The dying was a display of terrible acting - of course there's the old repentence of sin which makes it corny and the whole head drop.

The music softened the blow though, which I felt was good and consistent throughout the entire thing.

Positive - Music, sound and lighting effects.

Negative - Acting, Dialouge, accent (use universal accent for crying out loud) and reasoning for battle.

  • "universal accent"? WTH is that? Some sort of fictional thing like the Universal Translator from Star Trek?

I think there is no thing. But, enlighten me if I'm mistaken.

I thought their English was pretty good for native Pinoys. I'm an American, basically white European, and I understood them quite well, better than most native Filipinos (and some native born Americans.) The only parts that were hard to understand were due to quality of the sound recording and editing.

    Good job for them.

  • Well being an American you wouldn't know about much would you? So I will enlighten you.

Universal Accent is what Hollywood actors use so they don't use their prominent normal accents.

I will take the example Hugh Laurie because he is British. Look him up in a BTS interview and compare his accent to the one he uses on House, for ex.

I can understand them, BUT I am saying it is rather annoying. "it is d only way d defeat d emperor".

  • I dont know why this is not formatting underneath thecor's comment, but this is a reply to his/her comment.

  • Ok, number one: your attempt at an insult was uncalled for, plus was just idiotic.

Number two: what you described is not an "Universal Accent." It's an American accent. Your example of Hugh Laurie is proof itself - House is an American character. So for his character to have a British accent wouldn't make sense, would it?

Number three: again - your point of what "Hollywood" actors use. Um, yeah, these guys aren't in Hollywood, so why should they be doing anything Hollywood like?

  • I know UA isnt an American accent. Ofc it wouldnt make sense, but the show isn't shown only in America, is it? Unless the character is namely British, French, Australian, American Fillipino, in another setting producers & directors do not need the characters to have a distingushing non-UA accent. Hence why you find Chase shown not using an American or UA accent, but a British one. This is especially true of fictional universes like SW, they would use UA as its not set in our world.

  • I also won't be bothering to look at this again. If you do not know of UA and believe that those actors in particular all spoke with "British accents" then there is simply no use arguing the point. If you are interested, study Film Studies under Art and see if you like it in your future.

  • I would like to know what University you are attending, so I can be sure my companies never hire graduates from there. The education provided there is obviously worthless if you are a median example of what it produces.

  • I'm sorry, that's unfair to the school. It may not be there fault - it might just be you. And with that previous comment, I made the same kind of erroneous, blanket judgment that you've done at least twice now.

You apparently haven't learn some things that I knew by 15; and if you are in college, that likely means you're older than fifteen.

I don't think I know more than you because I'm American. I know that I have a greater awareness than you based solely by your own statements.

  • Number four - "Star Wars." Nearly every Imperial character besides the Emperor and Darth Vader - British accents. (And, really, what is James Earl Jones' accent? He's American, it's his voice, but also sounds very much like a classically trained stage actor's accent - most of the time happen to sound like British [which, by the way, would be the closest thing to an "Universal Accent.])

Obi Wan Kenobi - British (and classical stage actor's) accent. Played by an Englishman and a Scotsman.

  • Nearly every? That's just wrong. JEJ 'classically trained stage actor's accent' is what I'm talking about, its an accent developed so it appears to Australians, English, Americans and other nations as a way to speak without a dominant accent.

It does NOT happen to sound like British accents at all. Have you travelled to Britain? There are many different accents (city and country) and four different nations there.

  • I'm also not pulling this out of my ass either, I am completing a Bachelor of History/Art and Film Studies is my major. My original idea is that this movie does not have good dialouge, storyline or sound and inde
