@BlueBeautyBerry Actually, since it's been 2 years since I got my Wii, I've learned that the bar placement is better determined by the television placement. I.E. if you're sitting down and the center of the TV is below your elbows, you put it at the top.

I would assume it should be placed wherever the remote is likely to point. So if you're sitting down and you're pointing the remote at the bottom of the screen that's where the sensor bar should to.

I'm just assuming though, since I haven't played yet.

ok, so my parents only let me play on one of our television sets and its one of those tv' that are in the wall. For some reason, (I just got a wii and am trying to set it up) I can't get the crsor to appear. Is this because of something I'm doing with the censor bar or what?

It doesn't matter. If you put it on top you'll have to raise ur remote higher. If you put it on the bottom then you won't have to raise your remote as high. =)

@HunterWolf14 it comes with a stand to put it below the tv. it sticks in place so make sure you want it kept in that one place for the rest of its use.

Yes, the sensor bar always has to be either on top of the tv or on the bottom as shown in the video. The sensor bar emits the infrared lights that the Wii Remote sees in order to show in which direction the wii remote is pointing and how close the wii remote is to the TV.
