Okay, so I sat and tried to fold my legs into lotus position. But my hip popped out of its socket! Damn! It hurt like HELL! So I began moaning and groaning, but the other meditators around me thought I was chanting my mantra so they ignored me. Since I was already folded into the lotus position, I farted this rotten eggs scented bomb that wafted around the room. NOW they began paying attention to me. So then I just shit my pants, hoping that they'd call an ambulance...
she probably added the effect through youtube's sound replacement tool. Do you not believe what you once said? Has something changed? Or are my assumptions wrong, and youtube's broken?
your are construct the self you wish others to see concerning reality, youtube does not reflect it , reality is not even subjective nor objective, reality was here 16 billion years ago when you were not here, sorry you missed it.youtube is doing so well because we all are narcisstic and we all need 15 minutes of fame..whatever...including me..he hefour, i'm rambling on and don't know what the heck am talking about.anyway girl, well done good attempt at
you'd probably enjoy reading ken wilber. he has a 'spiritual'/zen-buddhist approach, but his take on reality is interesting. check out his 'quadrants' theory on wikipedia.
i started out with his 'a brief history of everything' and went on from there. he's seemingly read just about every substantive work on philosophy, psychology, anthropology, and who knows what else out there and is quite a thoughtful synthesizer.
There IS an objective reality. The fact that we are communicating is testament to that. We can never understand the nature of that objective reality objectively. I just watched a pair of videos that explain this quite succinctly.
Although I do believe that it is most likely that there is an objective reality, I believe it is impossible for anyone to know what that objective reality is due to our perception being subjective, and therefore, flawed. Therefore, because we are not perfect beings, we each live life and see and experience reality subjectively, and no one can truthfully define reality as it is (or might be) in its truly objective form.
Oh yeah... What is 'Reality' reality is what happens nothing more and nothing less. We are PART of the happening. Not separate from it, but part of it. EVERYTHING is connected. Some things directly(meaning obviously to our perception) and some things tenuously(not directly observable). But ALL things are part of the same 'energy' (not new age ;) )
Firstly, nice video. To have a discussion like this we must define what we are talking about. You make the distiction between your 'reality' and an 'objective reality' but I like to think of (this) as just 'reality'(as the absolute) and 'perception'(of everything else being). Since we only have words and concepts as the tools which to try and understand, this is to me important. Reality is there, but we only ever know our own perception of it...
reality is a painting inside our heads that gets remade every 1/2 a nano second. this is motion. ( We can bend perceived time, but not in the way I said it,) ( its delaying the intervals between one visual painting from the next or speeding! them Up)
I'm sort of new, and terrified to make video replies.
There isn't much of a real me in real life, so the question of a real me for the internet seems weighted oddly. I've been so authentically awkward in real life that the real me on the internet feels foreign.
my conception of myself vs your conception of me -- identity(ies) 1) "worlds collide" -- putting together your masks into your coherent self 2) all of you will never fit in any one place or interaction
authenticity and identity -- authenticity is a claim on objectivity, so if you leave objectivity out, then you leave out the concept of authenticity. You can ask the question of "did I convey my intention?"
question of nature -- is there a "natural you" that you're "fronting"/hiding somehow? Nature sounds a lot like singular, immutable, objective reality.
Reality is objective. If I'm going to talk about subjectivity, then I need to talk about realities. (All of this comes with an "I think" at the beginning and the end).
Humberto Maturana puts science and the scientific method within subjectivity in the essay "Ontology of Observing" (free online)
I don't think your shirt is cool, I think are cool. on the other hand honestly as you where talking I was looking at your white necklace a few times, so may be that made you cool in my eyes. nah, i don't believe that.
Time is an invention to measure how long it lakes to do something or basicly some definied numbers that truly measure one and only thing. then everything else is based on that. I believe reality works this same way only changed in someway by the viewer. There is a difference between truth and perceived reality.
ok well it sounds like your name is becky and im sure you dont cheak this but reality is what your mind makes it time nor space can change reality just bends it a little bit. ive seen people go mad within themselves because of reality and i have seen people fully confedent with themselfs and thats where i get my theory on what reality really is. Its our thoughts and actions just like you said time is an invition to substitute our own reality based on what we plan or organize to do.
Well, a very intresting train of Thought's, there. It kind of reminded me of the Movie "Matrix", there is a scene out there when Morpheus ask's Neo something on the same lines while he train's. It's open to interpretetaion. There is no one size fits all explaination.
I think you're cool for having a great mind. You're not only a pretty face, but you've also got intelligence. However, I'll admit that I didn't watch the entire video. It's kinda late for me, but I find your thoughts extremely interesting. I'll be sure to watch trough it entirely tomorrow.
Becky Hello Thank you for your videos and thank you for letting me subscribe. I watch your videos because you are intelligent and honest. Good luck with your ethnography. Barry
Awesome, expect more thorough comment on the weekend. but its entertaining to look at first vlogs. not entertaining like "look at how ridiculous i was" but just the various interactions with the medium..

sorry no volume on this machine. 'truth/reality is subjective'? 'infinity is at 90 degrees to your concentration'? -- this last, tip: xy=a constant.

ReALity iS subjectiVe,
they is only 1 consciousness.
you are consciousness itself.
Dont buy into the illusion that other people are conscious too.
Other people in your reality have a mind just like you do, thats it.
you can precieve other peoples minds, but how many "other peoples" consciousness' can you precieve?
If this were an objective reality then why cant you precieve other peoples consciousness' too
