And The Sam Rami movies were fun and the best superheros moves ever. This one seems like it's trying to be darker. Shouldn't films like this not start dark, but get darker as the series goes on? I never read any comics, but I know the majority audience who don't like superhero movies loved those 3 movies.

Too soon. Sure the Spiderman we are familiar with is cworky and weird, but its not old enough to have a remake! I love the idea, I just don't think the makers were patient. Thats like if A remake of Harry Potter 1 just came out! Still gonna give it a chance though.

I have seen many people saying they want this to fail, so the rights can be given back to marvel but many of these people also say it is too early to have a reboot. I never read any comics, but I know the majority audience who don't like superhero movies loved those 3 movies.

@Dattebayo04 ..........the Rami films were NOTHING like the Ultimate comics AT ALL. movie Venom acted NOTHING like he did in the ultimates. Spider-man has been dark since the 70's, its about time we have a serious film. The previous three films were TERIBLE! They were horribly written, horribly acted, and inaccurate to the comics. Name one thing those god-awful films did right. The reboot is far superior, more accurate, and has a much better actor playing Spider-man.

SPOLIER ALERT: Peter uncle dies, Peter falls in love with Gwen Stacy, Oscorp will be destory, Peter will find a breifcase with the old Spider-Man suit, Stan Lee will be in the libary dancing with the music when Peter and The Lizard are fighting, the plot will never make sense at all, the final scene will just be another ending from the first Spider-Man ending and this will be another worst film like Spider-Man 3 did. I rather go watch the Dark Knight Rises instead of this. Who agrees with me?

Too soon. Sure the Spiderman we are familiar with is cworky and weird, but its not old enough to have a remake! I love the idea, I just don't think the makers were patient. Thats like if A remake of Harry Potter 1 just came out! Still gonna give it a chance though.

I have seen many people saying they want this to fail, so the rights can be given back to marvel but many of these people also say it is too early to have a reboot. What do they think will happen if marvel gained the rights back. The reboot was inevitable and like you I am glad we are getting it sooner rather than later!

Two, Peter always lived with his aunt and uncle and wore glasses before being spiderman, and three the blonde is Gwen Stacy, his first true girlfriend before Mary Jane. Also, this one is drawing more from the comics and staying true to the spirit and atmosphere of Spiderman.
