@AmaoNoBolso I do live in Alberta. My 4,5, and 6th grade French teacher was Spanish. He just read to us from the French English dictionary. From that point on it was hard for me to learn French. I love the language I am past the age where I can learn it fluently. My brother is fluent in French though because he went to french immersion school. Quebec is rich in culture and I admire that.

My brother on the other hand is fluent. He was in French immersion since kindergaten though. I like the language but I am probably never going to be fluent in it. I think Western Canada provides more alternatives to French and that's why we aren't all bilingual.

For the record, non-french speaking people are getting more rare when you leave the biggest cities (Montreal, Quebec, and to a lesser extent Trois-Rivières and Sherbrooke), so saying that there are english speaking people *anywhere* in Quebec is a half-truth.
