I cannot imagine suffering this kind of pain! Honestly I was so amazed and heartbroken over his suffering that I didn't even notice the music.My heart so goes out to you. Words cannot even begin to express how much I wish I could take this pain away from all sufferers. The music was so unimportant and inconsequential compared to his suffering. I actually had to go back and listen for it!

I've been waking up with clusters this recent cycle. So kinda hard to abort them at the early stages. my right nostril and pain behind my right eye, and stiffness of neck and head muscles are my first signs, but i am ZzZzZz and the pain is fullblown mins after I wake.

@teckNine2010 Once a doctor is convinced you have cluster headaches he will perscribe it to you. Your family doctor will prob send you to a nurologist(how ever you spell it) first.

@raedbadawi I never got 02 for my migranes as a child. Once as a childI had a migrane that lasted 2 days, because panadol was not working. So I had an injection at the hospital and that got rid of the migrane.

I will NEVER, EVER, EVER forget the EXACT MOMENT I realized that I had found the CURE for my Episodal Clusters (get em every 7 years, same season) PURE OXYGEN just chases them away!!

I have seen the best Cluster headache Drs in the world. Goadsby cant figure out why O2 works for some and not me? Nor why some medicines work and some dont. The late Dr. Hurt could not find ways through surgery. Although that was the best method so far.

guys i'm 21, i had a very immense headache 2 days ago. and i had a nasal congestion, i figured it out maybe because i had a cold/fever also, myheadache started around 9pm, then i use ibuprofen or tylenol, which its not working. the headache stop at around 9-10am. i could hear my own pulse artery. and my eyes feels like burning and going to pop out also. do you think i had a cluster headache? help pls.

Huh, strange. I haven't seen that type of NRB before, the ones my unit has are the normal ones with the metal nose clip and the two little discs with one removed, and the resivoir bag is built right into it. That one almost looks kind of like a BVM type connector.

Actually, the purpose of the bag is to capture the O2 coming from the tank as you exhale so it is not wasted. Using this, plus controlled full breathes, I can cut the feed down to 6 to 8 LPM. As to toxicity, this is only an issue if you are scuba diving, not when you breathe at normal air pressures.

I have had success with Kudzu and I am pretty successful with cold rag and cold water in face to abort any that get through. The ones I can't abort are around 20 minutes and a Kip 5 or 6 (without Kudzu they would be no less than 45 minutes at Kip 8+).

I see how it works - when you inhale the bag empties of oxygen. When you exhale the bag refills from the line. You inhale almost pure oxygen without having air mixed with it.

Out of interest, have you been advised about oxygen toxicity? Presumably there is a maximum period you can use the mask for.

I suffer from 5-6 day cycles with usually a day of freedom....I also use 15 lpm as well as melatonin, which combined have 98% effectivness... The melatonin does work...at least for me...Good Luck, man...these SOB's are hell!!

Oxygen has become my best friend. I got an M tank at home, and about 10 D tanks with portable bag. My mask sucks (these masks Praxiar give are junk) so working on getting something more efficient. I may buy a scuba regulator to get the full effect of the o2 and not waste so much of it.

Print out info on how o2 works to abort a cluster headache, and that it is a medical necessity with this condition. Take this to your doc and tell him if he is going to HELP you at all, to give you a script for o2.

If he doesn't know how to write it, then fire him and find one who can. I did that 2 1/2 months ago, and my new primary had no problem prescribing o2 for my CH. Now, I have a weapon BETTER than triptans because it does not cause rebounds nor is it taxing on the heart.

O2 can cause rebound cluster attacks if not used for the correct amount of time as I found out to my peril.I was advised to use it for a good 10 mins after I've aborted an attack - works much better!

You need to find a good neuro who will prescribe o2 to abort a CH. If your doc cannot do that much for you... well, I just fired my primary, and finally found a GOOD doc who has already helped me more in 3 months than my previous doc did last year. At least he didn't kill me, though came damn close a few times. Be careful with doctors.

Outstanding Video Tony! You need a 0-25 LPM O2 Regulator. 100% O2 at 25 LPM kicks butt... or better yet, a demand valve O2 regulator. They deliver 100% O2 as fast as you can suck down. They're rated at 140 - 160 LPM. Breathing 100% O2 at ≥25 LPM increases the CH abortive effect of O2 by hyperventilating and kicking your system into a temporary condition called respiratory alkalosis. That reduces the time to abort well below using 100% O2 at 7-15 LPM. Good on you for another great video.
