  • An explosion at that distance...and the sound is yet instant?

  • K 1 thing punkman you don't know shit. Those rockets cost about 22000 dollars. And fuck I love explosions. :)

  • Congrats you successfully destroyed a $1000000 tank with a $100 missle

  • Category=how to/ style. Wtf. Are they trying to show me how to protect my home. Thank god now I know what to do if someone try's to steal me tv, via tank.

  • In battlefield out takes 3 to 4 javelin rockets. Wtf ea, get it right!!!

  • dang

  • Sound had to edited. It should have taken several (3-6) seconds for the sound of the explosion from that distance. FYI, in WWII the footage had no sound, they had to add the sound effects later.

  • so far in my mind at 0:27 25 tanks have been destoryed :P HOOAH to the US Army!

  • That was a training shoot....nothing about it was about vaporizing an Iraqi tank.

  • In gay america raytheon fakes you

  • PEW

  • If you pause VERY closely at 0:28, you can see the impact of the Javelin before or after the impact. BOOM! Thumb up if you can see it.

  • [0:26] Best part omg ....

  • that's weird

    there was no sound delay

  • @Mendelevium146 well they really did shoot a Javelin, and Javelins really can do this...so why think it's fake?

  • Start at 0:27 and quickly press the space bar (to pause and play the video) until you see the rocket within 5 feet of hitting the tank. Epic!

  • High speed footage would of been awsome beyond the awsome it already is!

  • I don't think the tank was really miles away, maybe 600 to 800 meters, but who knows.

  • amazing we work so hard to keep are selfs safe from each other but we make things that destroy them way faster than we can make them safer

  • fake n gay

  • 0:28... Thats the coffin the tank driver is in...

  • Explosives = FUCK YEAH!!!!!!

  • Fake, if it was several miles away you wouldn't hear the sound like that

  • @cdoftx lol what are you a sound expert?

  • Dear Santa,...

  • ...and i thought tanks were safe...

  • nice

  • ХУЯСЕЕ...

  • So, I'm sitting here thinking it's going to be a medium sized speck on the horizon, then they'll show a close-up. Then out of nowhere, a chunk of my fucking video goes up in flame, and I'm here like "ZH MY GOODNESS!"

  • That'll buff out

  • I have seen in COD4 that the Javelin bullet price is $80,000USD!

  • tank didnt have flak jacket

  • LULZ the explosion looks like one in movies

but its real and thats fucking A

  • wtf? You could hear the explosion the same time it happened. Wasn't the tank far away? Last time I checked light travels faster than sound..

  • I need one for my x-wife!

  • why'd they edit the video

  • Iraqi Javelin Missle pierces referee. Type in "Saving Pierce D. Boner" on You Tube.

  • oh dear god....................

  • Chuck Norris Farted!

  • @AplePaple00 No man, it's 80,000 just for the missile! That dosent include the launcher! Haha what a rip off hey!

  • Dear Santa...

  • sooner or later.......

  • i know what i want for christmas...

  • 1 javelin = 80 000 $....

  • "Dear santa...."

  • HAHA. "HOLY SHIT"

  • that they spent a tank !!! mother fuckers i paid it with my fuckin taxs

  • Looks like training maybe....

  • dear santa.....

  • Dear Santa, I have ben very good this year, can you give me a new birth certificate saying I'm 17 so I can enlist in The Marine Corps.

  • I'll take that tank if they're gonna just blow it up like that...

  • og jeez javelins are so orgasmic!!!!

  • They have spent so much money to build that tank...To blow it up ?? Really confusing. But how much fun !!

  • @Limpin4Linkin the tanks the use usually have problems with them and arent brand new

  • How is the sound of explosion in sync with the visual? either fake or sound edited

  • @Mendelevium146 if you didnt notice there is a camera next to the explosion, this would have picked up the sounds

  • @slanderskikio at that distance it wouldnt be a sound mr., just a huge chock wave that would have destroyed the mic. and anyways if the chock wave didnt do it then the eat of the explosion would have in a fraction of a second

  • @slanderskikio and if youre talking about the camera that picked up the close up of the explosion it is not as close as it looks, its a camera zoomed in and is at least 100m from it and from that distance the sound would still have had a lil lag

  • @Mendelevium146 well its a javelin so there's no point in faking the sounds, its understandible if somebody has edited the sounds incase it comes out as just fuzzing

  • @Mendelevium146 too close to be any sound delay at all I think...

  • @Mendelevium146 they're probably too close

  • @Mendelevium146 WAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? of course its gonna match the visual...thats why its called a video....

  • @MrToxicheyna7 Sound takes time to travel. You would see the explosion first, and 2-5 seconds later you will hear the explosion.

  • @Mendelevium146 does it even matter??

  • @Mendelevium146 i belive it was sound edited cuz if you notice there is another camera closer to the tank..im sure the just merged the sound together

  • because its not THAT far away i guess

  • my tax....

  • in my country that was a waste of tanks

  • otherwise you can burn 100'000 $ in a fire place, drink some scotch and read a novel.

  • And you thought you were safe in that tank ?

  • 10$ there has go to be something in the comment box related to shitty mw2

  • all i got to say is holy shit. one of the top reasons to get into the armed forces

  • LMAO THAT WAS SICK!!

  • god there was nothing left!!!

  • the tank they destroy is an old russian tank called the t-54/55

  • @1mtvfan That's a T-72 (or possibly a T-80). The T-55 has a huge kettle drum turret that is impossible to miss. But the video is faked anyway. They used a planted explosive to blow the tank apart, and doctored the video.

  • @1mtvfan

Yeah, but with the exception of the Republican Guard, the tanks that Iraq deploys are exclusively T-54/55s or T-62s.

  • i went to see one of these, It frightened me

  • lol 12 secound hang time!

  • HOLY SHIIT... PPOOOOWW! ;)

  • Imagine if the rocket boost didn't go off when they fired O.o lol

  • @shadowwing14

    It wouldn't go off.

A Jav missile is designed only detonate once it's main target has been hit.

You can simply drop a jav missile on a concrete floor and it wouldn't go off.

That's how good technoligy is today.

  • @chadthegre Ah, i see, awesome. so it's more than just a bomb it's intelligent lol

  • I got one, I unlocked it at Level 50

  • @TezzTennyson lol fail

  • the tank there had fuel cans in it to simulate what a fully laden T72 would have on the battlefield.

  • The Javelin is truly the bleeding-edge of infantry-portable anti-tank munitions. This video puts that well into perspective. Great video.

  • fake...really, you can hear the "explosion" same time, you see it. and such a (relativ) small rocket (you can carry) cant blow away a hole tank.

    sry for my english^^

  • @ichverkaufenichts haha lol u think you know evrything about war and yes, i am really sorry for ur english cause it suxx

  • You clearly have no idea about the Javelin, its a high impact rocket, launched upwards, it then comes down hard at maximum speed ontop of the tank where its very weak and pierces the top, dropping its entire explosive capability inside the tank itself, the force and power of this causes the tank to explode outwards, so yes it could blow up an entire tank.

  • a javelin is the most powerful rocket there is it can blow a tank away in 1 shot

  • @Michlimania The advantage of these kind of anti tank missiles vs unguided one is the fact they hit from above after a vertical ascension and then a descent. Like that they hit one of the less armoured spots on a tank ( rear, wheels, turret )and are more effective. With unguided missiles it's hard to hit like that in open space.

  • on cod 4 in single player when u die it says war facts and i think it said a javiline missle was around 60k i think

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    incredible

  • HOLY SHIT

  • Wonder how much money was wasted on the tank they demolished.

  • the tank is most likely already decommissioned, with all useful parts salvaged. pretty much a heap of scrap metal that resembles a tank.

the navy does the same with decommisioned ships, some became museum, some scrapped in shipyards and some goes to SINKEX as missile/torpedo/gun target. i had the privilege to witness two of such events when i was in the service. a warship on fire and sinking is quite the sight to behold.

  • I want one of these :]

  • $75,000.00 US per unit.

Insurgent I.E.D. Less than $100.00 US

  • @Michlimania but IEDs can't track down a tank from that range and annihilate them like Javelins do

  • You of course realize that these test fires equal to about the same amount of cash for the rocket right? All they do (if a tank isn't readily available) is make the shell so they can see if it pierces the armor and makes the tank (or shell) go bye bye

  • how far can this rocket travel?

  • I believe 2 miles is the suggested max, but it may be further. However minimum engagement range is roughly half a mile.

  • MER (Maximum Effective Range) is 2.3 mi.

  • F*ck! That's fast!

  • I want one I want one!!!

  • @cheesemccracker ask santa

  • it can do this to a tank but people on mw2 can shrug one of these off like a lite breeze to the face!

  • blew a fucking tank to shit

  • Spectator: Holy Shit!

  • a cheaper version --- IED........

  • i doubt the US military plans on using IEDs. I'm pretty sure it would be hard to "improvise" the IED into being fired out of a fire and forget rocket launcher like the javalin lol :P

  • It's workin for da terroristos lol

  • 80,000 < a tank --- GOOD TRADE-OFF TO ME -_-

  • OMG that was an abrams!! THEY have an HUGE armor, but this missile destroyed it like lego pieces! DAMN thats AMAZING!

  • tat was no abrams son

  • What then ?? :O

  • @RoManLP15 Not an Abrams. A Russian T72.

  • @nexusvision10 How did you see that O_o

  • @RoManLP15 I knew right away it wasn't an Abrams because of the turret shape and the load-bearing wheels in the tracks; those were distinctly Russian. As for the exact model, I knew because I've always been really interested in the military and other militaries, so the information just sticks in my mind when I read about that stuff, so I recognized it pretty quickly.

  • @nexusvision10 Ah nice. Wish i could do the same.

  • Woo, MW2 ftw :D

  • you think that's expensive, how much do you think it costs to send a shuttle into space?.. billions?

  • is the 80 grand per missile rly worth it?

  • @noobreaver i mean seriously, we just saw 80000 dollars blown up in a few seconds xD

  • an 80 thousand missile makes up for an 2 million tank

  • @skanemaggie there must be a more efficient way to take out a tank

  • like what?

  • @skanemaggie cheaper rockets?:p

  • A STICKY BOMB!

  • That tank driver is going to be sore in the morning.

  • The Javelin is rated to take out our own M1A1 Abrhams main battle tank... So im pretty sure it will toast any enemy tank you put up against... Especially if you have the Javelin set to "top attack mode"... My friend is in the Army and this is what he does for a living... Hes a tank killer for the 82nd Airborne

  • Swedish made!

  • I do not believe you are correct sir.

  • It was swedish from the begining.I think or it sumthin else lol

  • hows it a waste of time testing missiles over and over again saves lives if something flaws they know how to fix it so 80000 dollars or possibly using it in war and blowing up your own soldiers

  • So much for Russian tanks. Must have improved warhead to totaly destroy the tank. No crew members would survie as even wounded

  • wow... $80,000 per missile!

  • lol and why are they blowing up a tank. its godmamn moneywasting thets why i hate America! no joke..

  • It is a test of improved javelin. We test all weapons systmes before they are depolyed to make sure they do what we are paying for them to do. PS the money is still there it goes to defense contractors who provide the jobs for their employees who get paid to develop the weapons and in turn pay income taxes.

  • But... it's not even your money. It's ours. I personally don't care how much of my taxpayer's money is spent on missiles and tanks and what not. As long as it's spent kicking al-Qaeda's ass. There's a reason America has the strongest military force in the history of mankind, you know.

And why blow up an enemy tank? Gee, good question. I'll tell you what... how about I spend all night brainstorming as to why we would possibly want to destroy the enemy and tell you what I come up with.

  • does anyone know if this thing can take out one of china's new heavy tank? the type 99 tank?

  • @AHighPwner

I bet it would, due to the flight pattern of this missile avoiding the most heavyly armored front parts of a typical Main Battle Tank.

Its twin shaped charge is able to penetrate 600-800 mm RHA equivalent. This is exeeding the top armor of a modern tank by several times.

So, yes... Type 99 is smashed

  • @dispatcher7007 haha is smashed! haha u rock m8

  • "HOLY SHIT! POW!" i LOL'd

  • that was fucking scary

  • lol what if a 14 they said whoops its a dud

  • i want that for birthday!

  • i saw this in modern warfare

  • javelins are the sickest missiles

  • lol when i saw this i thought of modern warfare 2 and its nothing like the reel thing

  • the iraqis dont have tanks

  • @lookie1992 yer they do

  • believe me i just came back froma tour in afgan and iraq and the only tanks i seen were nato, brit and american so i dont know whos been supplying u with knowledge

  • afghan AND iraq???? the iraq army have tanks, i've read autobiographys, they may not anymore because we own there land until we pull out of iraq but there are definately recks of tanks in iraq and they are iraqy tanks

  • yeah over 2 years but i get you now their wasnt working tanks they were blown up and also some of the tanks were ours from road side bombs

  • kl The Javalin is 60k a shot

  • 60.000 pounds a shot according to british army

  • Rimboos, that's NOT a M1A1 looks more like a T72.

  • wow im amazed ...MUHAHAHAHAHA

  • Dear Santa. I have been a very good boy this year and I hope you have noted that on your list. If it's not too much trouble, I would like a Javelin Missile launcher and 10 extra missiles this year. I will try not to shoot my eye out. I would also like an M-340 mini gun and lots of ammo. I would also like some M67 grenades in my stocking, along with some candy and treats. When you get to my house, you will find milk and cookies, same as last year. Thanks very much. Your pal, Scotty.

  • Dear Santa, What he said and a Walther Model 2000 Sniper Rifle

    Your best friend,

    Chris

  • DEAR SANTA I WANT A PENNY

  • sorry kid you'll shoot your eye out. . .how bout a football instead?

  • @thesixtiesguy its so creepy that your name is my name when I read this WE ARE THE SAME PERSON! lol but still thats what I want 2

  • that tank is not Iraqi, its an M1 Abram US tank

  • @rimboos Actually it appears to be a Russian made T-72

  • @richardsmatt Ah yea. but there is noone inside it,

  • One Javelin rocket cost 800.000 $ :P

  • its $80,000. $125,000 for the launcher.

  • poor little tank :(

  • really amazing... wtf

    javelins are crazy

  • that was fukin amazing

  • THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME ITS NOT FAKE FAGS

  • DO WANT!!!

  • a want 3

  • 0:27

  • who gave these guys the rocket laucher

  • its fack

  • sorry friend Halo is fake the Javelin anti tank missile is not. The javelin is one of the most dangerous anti tank missiles out there.

  • "See how high that turret went? Jeez!" Too bad it didn't got caught... (you only see it falling at 00:36)

  • Nope. Fire and Forget. TOWs use wires.
