To all the supremicists watching this video: No martial art is it's own is it's own. I mean, if Koreans are "stealing" japanese culture, what about the japanese stealing chinese culture? Karate, both okinawan and japanese(two different martial arts, technically) were influenced heavily by Chinese wu shu(modern term: kung fu) and was originally spelled using the kanji's for "chinese hand" and was changed later on to show national pride. So there.
If the Japanese did not wish to leave some influence of their culture on the Koreans then they should not have imposed it on the Koreans during the occupation.
@intrepid1973 Tamen bu zuo! No one can take the Japanese soul!? Jews with Hiroshima and Nagaski trayed to break Japan's spirit; Did they succed ? How is Japan dealing with them today? They are still in Okinawa?! And the Kourille Isalnds? Sovjet were/are also Jews... Banzai Nippon!
Ssang Soo Gum Bup Yuk Bon and Ssang Soo Gum Bup Chil Bon are weapons forms for our 3rd Dan curriculum in the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan. It is a Korean sword art. It has Japanese influence as well as Chinese. If the Japanese did not wish to leave some influence of their culture on the Koreans then they should not have imposed it on the Koreans during the occupation.
He is doing the sword Hyung (that would be kata to you) and then showing the practical applications of the movements on an opponent using the umbrella.
personally, I'm not a big fan of Korean sword fighting.. however, I gotta honestly say this doods sword swings are not only fast, they have a purpose.
His swings are not wasted motions. +20 cool points
