i am a Nath, i am about 16 years old, and i am discovering many things about my religion i never knew before and am sure there is more, it seems like a lot .so my question is "do we have to practice every thing or pick one of many paths of enlightenment and stick to it?"
@skullfaced5555 The Nath Sampraday outlines the appropriate protocols. It is not a religion. Kriya Yog is the science of consciousness evolution and transformation. Come and get initiated into Kriya Yog and the Nath Sampraday.
a good man, who upholds tolerance, became a compassionate teacher, and in his compassion decided to lose to tolerance, and let it win. And the compassionate teacher became enlighten about tolerance.
What I understood from this is that one cannot be without the other. The Man cannot be without Woman, Woman without Man. They are parrallel in connection. When One hurts the other will feel their pain..
ur response is right , balanced. to accept the sex as it is it is very difficult it require a lot of guts and awareness. Book aghora is really good and book of secrets by osho , tantra by laksman joo. regarding mahatama gandhi all leading psychiatrist of at that time never consider him normal.
Freedom from slavery ! Woman seduces. There should be no attachment between couples.Walk freely and connect out of bliss not out of need.when you meditate deeply you realize lust is your own joy projected outward.Just obserwe lust deeply-dont fight-it gets transformed.Only then you can truly Love when you are free. Then connect with shakti and there is dance, but no slavery.Connect but ramain ALWAYS in your center.(until enlightement). The moment there is need for someone suffer & boredom follows.
Vijnana Bhairava, good to hear it mentioned here, But practicing this discipline of dharanas is quite a different matter. Well, at least for me, don't have the mind for it. But have a look into it, it's oneof the really important works of Trika or Cashmere Shaivisme, a tantric discipline and teaching. But then there are the great works in this tradition of Abhinavagupta, Kshemaraja, the Shiva Sutras, the Pratyabhijnahridayam, the Spanda Karika - one needs a guru to understand those.
u say that one needs a guru to understand but the best gurus that I have read say that the ultimate guru is your own guru the "sadguru" or atman/brahman that rests with u so to say. Thanks for all the references for study that you made in yr comment.
"Satguru" literally translates as "a teacher that assists in guiding his/her student every step of the way on the spiritual path". Shiva (God) accepts our worship whether we have a Satguru or not. So you are right in one respect. However, to attain nirvikalpa samadhi, every Shaiva/Shaktha tradition decrees one have a Satguru.
This is true also. Shiva (male) and Vishnu (male) begot a child named Lord Ayyappan!! Lord Ayyappan is heavily worshiped in South India (where Indians also tend to have less sexual and gender hang-ups). However, Lord Vishnu had transformed Himself completely in sexuality and form into a female (known as Mohini). Lord Ayyappan is called "Hari-Hara Putra" (ie: "son of Vishn & Shiva"). Swamiji was just generalizing. But worry not, original Hinduism acknowledges and accepts the LGBT community.
"A man reminds a woman where she should go, a woman reminds a man where he came from" - how beautifully spoken HamsaYogiJi ! I truly appreciate how you put it :)
come to India and i'll let you meet some real yogis, gurus, tapasvis, sadhus. its true that the no. of genuines gradually dercreased but its not like they have left away this earth plane like dinosaurs. and do u really understand the meaning of harmony.
I have met with my fair share of tapasvis and sadhus and mullahs and maulavis. Problem is they talk too much and are generally ignorant of normal behavior and extremely arrogant (the hangers-on in the entourage are even more so than the swami himself). They all suffer from extreme tunnel vision.
What is there to understand abouit harmony - unless it is any different than our way of living?
In a physical way. But there is more to life. We have less of an idea of subtle energies. We think we can smash through everything. We wage war without realising we are doing it against our own kind, we destroy forests and pollute the atmosphere without realising we are destroying our own planet, therefore ourselves, and we're so caught up in the arrogance of being superior, we dont realise we are actually dying. The only way is the marriage of the west and east, feminine and masculine.
Even in a nation of spoiled, greedy children there are many who will hear the words of wisdom and whose hearts will be opened to truth. Those who are not open to receiving truth are resigned to mental illness. Pray for them.

do you think shiva is attached to parvati? do you think there is any one else besides her?
do you think all this universe somthing besides shiva an shakthi? really..dedication to the goddess in the form of your wife is not slavery.

I think its mistaken, tantra doesnt require an opposite sex partner to kindle the sexual bliss its a natural phenomena inside the body
