Tom Baker has more charisma and sex appeal than Eccleston, Tennant and Smith put together. Not to say that I don't like New Who... I love it. But Tom was just... perfection.

Quite simply, Tom was the best Doctor EVER in "Doctor Who" and I doubt anyone will ever top him. David Tennant (10th) and Matt Smith (11th) are very good ones too.

I love all of "Doctor Who" from 1963 to today. But many new fans today have a hard time getting into these older episodes. I think seeing the best ones of Tom Baker's is the best way to introduce these new fans to the old, best way to ease them into the old days. Then they can branch out into the 3rd, 5th or any other Doctor.

I remember seeing Tom Baker's final episode when I was a kid and I felt so heartbroken that he didn't survive the fall, that he regenerated and turned into the Fifth Doctor.

And you know something? I couldn't care less if, in my walks of life, I never bumped into Johnny Depp, Scarlett Johannson, Robert Deniro, or who-have-you. But if I met Tom Baker, I'd be absolutely gibbering and giddy as the most star-struck fan boy you ever saw.

Tom Baker was "THE Doctor, the definitive article you might say!' It's doubtful any other actor will ever "Own" the role as completely as Tom Baker. Likewise it's doubtful any other actor will so completely own the companion role as did Elisabeth Sladen. It was truly extraordinary the way Baker/Sladen blended so well onscreen. No surprise that Lis Sladen has so many appearances here!
