How to completely delete items from OS X Mac

Thanks bud, I tried to download, THEN USE, MSN messenger for mac. It downloaded okay but no way could I get online, or get signed in. Kept telling me my "password was wrong". No way was anything wrong, except the fact that Microsoft ( makers of Windows), is pissed and they want Mac buyers/owners to be NOT ABLE USE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MICROSOFT...PERIOD, even though "they" say you can. I think they make it difficult purposely. PARANOID??? Business is business I guess...and business comes first.

@Starberryrixx go to the search button all the way on the top right corner of ur screen thats called the finder, search for safari im sure its just in your applications folder. once it open, right click on the icon in ur dock and choose options>keep in dock

FYI, Just drag the application to the trash, and everything comes with it. you dont need to delete the contents first. one easy step.

hey, ive got a question.

ive been deleting files of my desktop because i appareantly dont have any space on it anymore.

when i select all files on my desktop and click more info, i have 34 items which are 12.38 GB.

but when i click more info on the desktop i appareantly have 869 items, 12.38 GB

why is that?

to delete programs, send them to trash. it deletes 99 percent of the stuff. but if you want the rest deleted, you could use this, or you could use appzapper (i use) appdelete or appcleaner

Easier way is to d/l AppCleaner from Apple's website, and just drag and drop to the AppCleaner trash can....much easier....takes 1 sec, instead of 1 min ...

its really not that easier...in order to delete an app you have to open another app..and then you still have to manually remove it from your trash...so its actually taking another step..

Dude thanks alot man I'm actually new with macs so this video was really helpful...but i accidently just send the app to the trash and secure empty trashed it from there so i skipped the package content part so i was just wondering if i still deleted the whole program.....

Also can you delete recent downloads the same way you do with apps??
