I never stated in my commentary that the AMA supports any biological basis for homosexuality. Only that the positions of the aforementioned organizations are of the belief that homosexuality is "incurable" and that it isn't a mental disorder. To find and truly be yourself you must search outside what is given to you and find what makes you love and be happy. No person is completely satisfied with what they are given, and so they seek something more true. "No man is an island to himself". Watching Tammy fall apart week by week on the PTL Club shows was so painful. Obviously something was very wrong in her life (namely, we knew later, mainly her marriage) and she was trying to hold up against awful odds. When the dust settled we all finally learned what a generous, creative lady she really was and how worldly-wise. Jim Bakker never let that show through when they were together.

I was contracted by the Bakkers when things imploded on them. Jim was a bit of an odd duck, but Tammy was quite a lady. It seemed her devotion to Jim was much stronger than vice versa. I have always believed that her only crime was trusting everyone too much. Even at the worst of it, she managed to produce a smile and a kind word for others even when the cameras were off and the public wasn't around. Lord only knows what that poor lady endured. I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone.

That is true. Tammy was once unsure of what Bible verses meant on the topic but never anti-gay. Tammy was a victim of many things. She got caught up with Jim not knowing things and then burned by Falwell and later broke and the gay community helped her and she never forgot that. Her son is not anti-gay either.
