BMO Field has a very European feel to it. You think Europeans play those kinds of things over their PAs? Hell no. Why not? Because there's no need. All it does is detract from the reaction of the crowd. This isn't hockey, and thank god for that...look at the presentations they have to put on just to put bums in seats in most hockey. Pathetic that they can't just let the game and the crowd speak for themselves.

Granted, I have yet to go to a TFC game (though I'd be interested in going to one in the near future to get a taste of the TFC experience first-hand), but from what I have observed on a YouTube vid, this is the same crowd that shouts the name of the home players as it's announced by the P.A. guy!

This seems like a type of crowd that feels like being active participants in the game in some form, so it might theoretically work! With that, the reaction to the goal after it's scored isn't detracted ... and you have something that adds to the energetic ambience after the fact!

You're right. I strongly disagree. It's a crowd that is an active participant...a 12th man. But it's a crowd that doesn't require cues from the PA system to know when to cheer. When a player scores, we scream wildly, then we begin an appropriate chant. If it's Dichio, we sing our Dichio songs. Edu, ditto. You get the idea.

We're not your average MLS fans. We're passionate, we're organized, and we're deliberate. And we're getting better with every game.
