I love both games to death, but IMO, I think Twilight Princess is a little better. Well, I've been with the Zelda games since I was little, so it keeps some nostalgic memories. The gameplay was just more fun to play then Ōkami. And Ōkami's story dragged on a little too much. But I still love Ōkami too.

I wish there was a real-life Shinshuu field...I would just love to sit there in the sun, listening to this track. :3 I used to go to the field in the game, and just run around watching the flowers sprout from Ammy's paws and listen to the music. God, this is such a beautiful piece of music. Easily my favorite of the soundtrack. I will say though, what I envision when I hear this song is drastically different from the game, I keep envisioning a mid-winter field with someone roaming it, doing all they can to survive, and when the second part where the extra instrumentation kicks in, I imagine that person having their hope restored and finding their way to that village. Simply a moving piece of music, one can't deny that.

Are people comparing this game to Twilight Princess because of the wolf form? I disagree, most Zelda games have a transformation, parallel world or something like that, and the wolf one was one of them. What makes these games similar is because of the OTHER aspects of the games, not the wolf; like the dungeons, quests, perhaps fighting, etc.

@CPnieuws actually, the game developer admitted he used references from Zelda, since he's a fan. Explains why I found the first 'temple' to be too similar with 'Inside the Deku Tree' temple. Even the final boss was similar in name and body.

Why do people keep comparing this game to Twilight Princess? I mean sure, you go through dungeons and everything like a LoZ game, but in Twilight Princess the wolf transformation was pretty much a gimmick that got old after you was forced to play in that form for so long. I enjoyed playing as Link in his regular form more than wolf form. It's different for Okami because your character IS a wolf, not a transformed human (Hylian, whatever).

I've played a lot of games, but I've got to say that Okami has one of the best plots, some of the most memorable characters(I know I'll never forget Issun!), one of the best musical scores, and the best and most original animation of any game I've ever had the pleasure of playing! Okami is in my opinion one of the most accomplished games in recent years, and its soundtrack plays a great role in it's grandeur (as OSTs usually do in games).

For anyone who owns a Wii and doesn't own it, unless you're completely allergic to japanese mythology, it's one game you HAVE to own... I'm playing through it for the 2nd time, and although I have a total of about 65 hrs on it, I just don't get tired of galopping through Shinshuu Field with this awesome music in my ears...

Damn, I got this game on the Wii this past summer, and I have to say it is every bit as good as all the critical praise and than some.

After the gaping hole of disappointment and dega vu that Twilight Princess left in me, this game was an awesome breath of fresh air; the music, the artwork, the gameplay, the humor, everything about this game makes it a modern classic. It's just too bad that it didn't do so well on the PS2, Okami needs a sequel!
