@dlord969 I agree he is certainly as good as lyricist as Aesop Rock but the comparison is askew since Mr. Larson was also an extemporaneous battle and freestyle extraordinaire, whereas Aesop really doesn't dazzle with his VERY few freestyles. Amazing writer sure, and Blockhead's beats are phenomenal, but he's no Eyedea, no one is. I've heard him compared to feminem as if 8-mile were a documentary. That Dre. baby couldn't hold a candle to Mickey. One is a marketing gimmick the other an artist.

I can see where he got Aesop from, because of the intricate deep abstract metaphorical philosophical rhymes. Notice he also said 'added genius', so he's essentially saying Eyedea > Aesop. In any case, art isn't just about freestyling.

I met DJ Abilities two nights ago in Portland during The Family Tour. He is literally one of the most genuine people I have ever met in my entire life. He was so nice, he signed my t shirt and gave me his undivided attention as I told him how much I appreciate him & what he does. You could really tell that he loves what he does, & to me, that is the most important thing in life. I still can't believe I met him!
