  • I love science. but my physic and math is very bad.

  • Michio is my personal god !

  • his so smart

  • I wouldn't advise a person to go too deep in any holy text; instead I think we should try to appreciate the time we have in existence and enjoy the beauty of the universe in which we have been placed.

  • Pwning personal gods!

  • kaku, kaku....don't put your snout in Einsteins equation see.....it's not your place or the youtubers.....

  • @johnsmdm It is everyone's place to advance into the future. Einstein was brilliant, but not perfect. Just like Newton and Einstein, some one will come to complete their work (some one who proves to be more brilliant).

  • @dapletd I can watch a video of Dr.Solotov creating molecules out of nothing but a vacuum (Nothing). So creating matter from nothing is not a large feat like we once thought. The Bible is not true, it has been proven wrong on so many claims. It has no scientific or historical accuracy. You can believe what you want but don't state lies. People have died for the knowledge your trampling all over like Galileo. Matter has always been here, it just looks like nothing sometimes.

  • "Hey mom, can I build an atom smasher in the garage?"

    "...Sure."

There's something great about that imagining that conversation.

  • @dapletd Matter is everywhere. A vacuum Ie. Nothing is matter and antimatter so nothing had to be created since nothing is something. Don't argue with me, argue with Solotov. We can create matter and antimatter from nothing with a particle accelerator and a laser... It's true. so who made god again and why isn't matter just ever present like the evidence shows? Because you're basing things off of a book that was wrong about so many other things? That's right, matter is ever present, proven.

  • @trakomako Dark Matter would like to remind you that it came from nothing....

  • @dapletd so if god came from no where why couldn't atoms? You are giving the big bang the wrong name of god, but I guess you could call it god since it was the creator of us (matter)

  • @trakomako Dark matter would like to have a word with you...

  • He's interesting like most brilliant scientists, but the theory of strings has been refuted many times by other brilliant scientists including the late great Richard Feynman.

  • @dapletd Darwin was speaking about the evolution of life on earth, not about things before that.

You are asking what happened before the big bang. Well there are theories about that, but the problem is that we don't know if we can use the same laws of physics before that moment or not.

In your second post you conclude God had to be the creator. But now I could ask you the question, who created god, what was before him? I know, it's though to think about a beginning of everything.

  • definitely my favorite physicist of all time, my idol michio kaku. i hope that one day i can be as great of a scientist as he is

  • i think he is up to something but im guessing its 3,000 years too early to know yet.

  • "my mom was kinda stare at me and say sure, why not?" She is a cool mom. LOLOL

  • apes cant do calculus but they are still more intelligent than humans they been around a lot longer and have not destroyed themselves or the planet yet

  • Oh man, just seeing that TechTV logo made me nostalgia pretty hard.

  • All these theories are surely not 100% correct, but they do make us think. Moreover, in order to understand life and God one has gotta have knowledge of the universe. At least this is what the Muslims' book Quran says...interesting. It also talks about the expanding universe..sometging unthinkable 1400 years ago.

  • No it's not unthinkable, the greeks had been busy pondering such matters for centuries as had the indians etc.

Don't think things like that can show some divine nature of a certain book it's a fallacy.

  • The Greeks and Indians were never explicit in these matters. This book..the Quran also talks about the universe as a sphere. I was also lead to Maurice Bucaille's book 'THe Bible, Quran and Science'. It is really amazing. Read it and then decide.

  • Ofc they weren't explicit on these matters, just like scientists aren't explicit on these matters and explore many competing models.

According to most modern theories the universe is flat.

And the idea that the universe is spherical is in no way revolutionary.

Have you ever read the amazing cosmical claims of the Veda's ?

Now they make many suggestions and observations that lay in line with modern knowledge... but by no means will it prove it has therefore a divine origin.

  • mOST SCIENTISTS DO NOT BELIEVE IN A FLAT UNIVERSE.

  • Doesn't matter if that might be true, fact is we don't know what shape the universe has.

  • The shape of the universe has been confirmed. Refer to Stephen Hawking and get the details.

  • "Analysis of data from WMAP implies that the universe is spatially flat with only a 2% margin of error" - check it on Wikipedia, query shape of the universe.

Also Stephen Hawkings has been wrong on certain things, and i wouldn't put my faith in the statements of a single person or a single book for that matter.

Btw i wonder does the Quran claim the universe to be finite or infinite ?

  • Allah does not say that the universe is infinite in time or space, nor does it say that it is spherical. It is expanding, yes, a linear expansion like an iron rod would expand with heat.

The Quran strongly negates the dogma of reincarnation which subscribes to a cyclical theory of life. The theory originated with Plato and was adopted by Hindu philosophers. The Quran corrects the fallacy by stressing that Life in the Universe goes on with a linear ascending evolution

  • The human self also ascends on the ladder of self-actualization by benefiting people.

    LINEAR:

. Indeed, my Lord is on the Straight Path. [He has designed the Universe and the life therein for evolution in a linear, ascending fashion. [11:56]

Linear Ascent of the human self. [90:10-20]

[God has designed the Universe so that all things go through evolution. It is an ascending, linear journey that makes progress possible and allows all things to become what they are meant to be.

  • 14:48 The Day will come when this earth will be replaced with a new earth, and the heavens too will be replaced and they will come forth to God, the One, the Dominating.

    UNIVERSE FINITE IN SPACE:

55:33 O Communities of the nomads and the urban! If you can break through the fences of the heavens and earth, then, break through. Never can you break through without an authority (that you wont have).

    [Sultan = Evidence = Proof = Authority = Power 4:153, 14:11, 15:42, 17:80, 37:156, 69:29.

  • I would rather give a mystical interpretation to those verses than a physical one.

Also i don't agree on your conclusions about reïncarnation, but then again i don't believe in external theistic dualism.

I would like to suggest that you read the wikipedia page: Qur'an and Science.

Many people find that Bucaille's claims have not much footing in reality.

Also Al-Biruni believed the Quran "does not interfere in the business of science nor does it infringe on the realm of science."

  • Quran is not a book of science or history. The basic purpose is to make us aware of the realities of nature and natural laws-abiode by them, improve our character and personality and make life better. That is why Islam is not a religion but a way of life.

It is upto you to believe it or not. There is no compulsion.

    Regards

  • @DarkestDragonNL The Greeks and the Indians never talked about the expanding universe.

Nobody can force anyone to believe in God. Divine or not the gfact is that there is an absolute power that controls the universe whether U like it not. The Divine message is all about leading a good life, something human mind is incapable of putting forward as a complete set of permanent values.Make UR own decision, nobody can force U. This is what my book says.

  • @somee44

Tbh i don't have an exact grasp of what people millennia ago talked about.. let alone what silent mystics understood.

We might discover tomorrow an ancient manuscript that would put a different light on our current understanding.

Anyway consider the sanskrit root of the word Brahman is "to grow/to enlarge .", we could say that Brahman is the principle "controlling" or rather becoming the universe.. so again we see that indian philosophy covers this view, also consider the cosmic egg.

  • @somee44

Anyway in my view someone who depends too much on a inherently static book for his view of the world/reality eventually limits his understanding.

Read from any book and collect all the wisdom of the world.. but in the end follow your own heart.... that's what my unwritten book says.

PS according to my view the human mind or better yet the selfaware subject i.e. you, has access to all forms of insight and all "permanent" or moral values supervene on that principle including the Quran

  • @DarkestDragonNL Quran is not an static book. The heart is incapable of thinking. The Quran simply guides U about values and leaves the final decision to you. No compulsion. The Quran encourages knowledge from all available sources. The human mind is limited and depends upon relative values,Make UR choice.

  • @somee44 So the Quran is constantly changing, i believe that according to conservative views this book has been unchanged over the centuries, it seems atleast according to you these muslim scolars are wrong.

"The Heart" to me is not separated from mind under close scrutiny..

Anyway everyday i make choices, and even if the mind may be limited my being is not limited by it.

  • @somee44 Did you write your book yourself because that isn't any of the major faiths?

  • @orarkcray Thats what you think.Jealous ? You may have written UR book and think so about others.Islam is the fastest growing Deen in the world and U know it.

  • @somee44 I don't really care. A few years back Mormonism was the largest growing religion, that fact obviously does not mean legitimacy. Your views on the qua ran are not the actual views in the book. You can keep saying the quaran teaches people to learn and accept but it just doesn't man... Your lying, also apostasy? How well learned are you going to be if your killing anyone who leaves the faith? Not very smart...

  • hey listen to the song kenji by fort munor ..i think its on him

  • "It must be a strange world not being a scientist, going through life not knowing - or maybe not caring - about where the air came from, and where the stars at night came from, or how far they are from us - I wanna know"

I understand EXACTLY how he feels even though I'm only a devotee and not a true scientist (no degrees).

  • @steveb0503 I know what you mean as well, I always want to know why and how about everything! lol unfortunatley I don't have the brain for it, thats why I love the simplistic and enthusiastic explanations by people like Dr. Kaku

  • @Thatsthebadger1 To give you a good example, the subject of Killer Bees came up, and I was able to relate why it is that you can't breed the "Africanness" out of them (it has to do with the way genes from parents stack up in offspring and the fact that those queens with predominately African genes will emerge from their pupal state BEFORE those with more of the indigenous genes - and proceed to kill the other queens).

  • @Thatsthebadger1 Cont.

I then proceeded to explained that WHY I knew that was because of my insatiable need for knowing the why.

  • @steveb0503 kWL, but what gets me is i think and research a topic then i start to wander what it is that makes me want to know, i understand it's the nature of our species but why is it our nature, what was the evolutionary purpose of making us have the concept of knowledge and understanding. You cud say it was just a useful tool to survive but other animals do just as well without the gift of discovery. its a mad world

  • @Thatsthebadger1 Other animals display curiousity too. I might suggest reading Steven(or is that Stephen?) Pinker's "How the Mind Works" (I'm about halfway through this monster myself). or, maybe just try looking up: intelligence as an ecological niche, for some insight.

Good luck, and always remember the words of Francis Bacon: "Knowledge is power"

  • @Thatsthebadger1 You notice that we seem to have some sort of obession with creating simulacrum as well?

  • @steveb0503 same here, and to expand on his idea, i cant imagine going through life and believing i know these things on what is egregiously insufficient evidence. i.e. being religious

  • This man is just genius

  • wow he looks better today.

  • michio kaku is the best scientist in physics ever hes ethier an advanced alien or hes from the future is so brilliant im so inspired on his work ive allways wanted awnsers about the universe hes answered my questions

  • Thanks for putting this on the net!

  • This man is beyond brilliant! I am convinced that Dr. Kaku is from the future. Amazing viewing!

  • Beautiful- Thank you for this!

  • haha most people are playing on drums and whatnot in the garage, he was creating Anti Matter :-)

  • As much as I like science, these people are really obsessed with trying to become gods

  • no, they are trying to understand God, if I try to understand what you think, does it mean I'm trying to become you?

  • The thing is, if you listen to what he says in this video and others he is not talking about God as we know him but rather a separate god-basically just the idea of all knowledge not the actual person- not to mention he states, "we physicists are the only scientists who can say we are god and not blush" Pretty arrogant to me

  • no, he says they are the only scientists that can say the WORD God, and not blush, listen to it again, he said "The Word" not "Were" he just said it kinna fast.

  • hahaha thats good

  • lol, yeah people should listen better :-)
