  • "Hey look, i stole these from tractor, arent these awesome??"

  • Comment removed

  • @Steelhunky

Instade of loosing time on writing stupid comments,

why don't you watch the video on snow ???

  • Wow, even the most interesting man in the world uses these chains!

  • Good innovative idea but it will bust tires when it will be worn out and detached.

  • Nice car :)

  • This is an interesting design, I wonder how easy that would be to do on the side of the road in the middle of winter.

  • I'm diggin the type R!!! lol

  • No point arguing if the road kills chains when there is no snow or ice....

If there is no snow or Ice, Don't use chains...

Here we only use chains either when the road is closed unless.. (cops make you put them on if in 2WD), or the road is impassible when you don't have them. (Because we only Use summer Tyres in Australia).

Of course you put chains on the rear wheels in a rear wheel drive....

Fronts in Frontwheel drive or 4x4

Winter tyres rock, except on hard Ice, then chains are good..

  • not trying to pop your buble but those are illegal not allowed michigan forbids it and so do alot of states

  • I lived through 33 Russian winter. And not once during that time did not see that someone had used at least some semblance of snow chains.

  • Chains on cars = fail. Snow tires are best chains are useless on cars, might work on trucks but cars? No sorry we tried 100 different types of chains in Norway as a test against Snow tires. They all failed and snow tires came out victorious

  • @SMGJohn How about chains over snow tires :o)

  • @SMGJohn Chains are really meant for when you do not have snow tires, spike less snow tires (to some degree on ice), but mainly for 'summer' tires (or tires without show grabbing thread). Very rarely would you need chains if/when you have snow tires (or even M+S tires). Also mainly used where people are not custom with snowy winters (i.e. I-80 from San Francisco to Reno ..., Norway over Vikafjell mid winter not so much.

  • Awesome product ... please change music:)

  • @infringinator accelerate slower. Acceleration is not only gaining speed, but changing speed or direction is acceleration.

  • @Cookmonster789 what the heck are you talking about? Sure in snow you need some momentum, but the faster you go the longer it can take to stop. Best thing to do if it snowed that badly is stay indoors. Your fingers would be numb if you tried to put these "chains" on during a snow storm. Chains dont help at all if the ground is a sheet of ice...only prayer you have then is if you have sand or gravel to give you traction. Go back to school

  • @infringinator All i'm saying is accelerate slow, dont step on the gas or slam the brakes, and dont go fast in a turn or else you will slide. Acceleration is CHANGING speed and direction.

  • @Cookmonster789 I dont know why youre talking about acceleration when I clearly said these chains are useless. Its like putting a sticker on a car for more HP

  • @infringinator I dont know why you were talking about chains when I was talking about acceleration. Read the conversation above, but the chains will help a little bit, they have ridges on the ends for extra grip

  • Those need to be on the back tires to prevent fishtailing. It's better to keep the back of your car behind you when moving at high speeds on a road.

  • lol just do what we do in canada and buy studded snow tires. no need making things more difficult.

  • More like ice chains

  • I have driven thousands of miles with tire chains. On trucks. What are these like on roads that are intermittently snowy and bare. Driving on pavement with chains destroys them in less than ten miles. I wonder how these hold up

  • @Oldjohn52

cause standard chains move on tire,

    this are tight, no vibrations.

    /watch?v=Snmz0iRrai4&feature=related

  • @grrunf Ummm, no, the chains are destroyed by the combination of the weight of the vehicle and the fact that bare roads have no "give" to prevent the weight of the vehicle and the hard road from grinding the chains to bits. I was taught that you ONLY use chains when no pavement is visible

  • @Oldjohn52

Since this chain is in the middle, tire is carier of weight on sides, not chain.

    ...so, no problem ;)

Exactly, you use chains only when nedeed (on snow or ice).

  • @grrunf Just so you know, The wieght of the car IS carried in the center of the tire. Only when under inflated does it not. By being a jeeper, and having replaced many semi tires when I worked for Jacumba towing, I know my shit when it comes to them. And by adding a little diamater to the tire, the wieght becomes especially focused to whever you put that chain.

  • Try to do it on the snow and cold weather !!!

  • @pyszdarus

    /watch?v=y1IILyGDS00&feature=related

  • Is this street legal?

    How much?

  • for a minute there I thought he was just going to use zip ties to keep the thing on

  • thats 2mins per tire!

  • whats the song

  • istra have no snow XD

  • @wittybittyspider

    We had some yesterday

  • why would a 4x4 need snow chains on a dry road

  • whats the music please?

  • Id love to see you mount these on a RWD car with so much ease.

  • This is kool until some dumbass decides to drive with them on a dry road and good luck trying to swerve or stop suddenly and quickly all your gonna see is sparks and a big mess at the end!! Lol

  • wow zip tie mounting FUUUUTUUURRREEE

  • @Termaime watch tho whole clip before commenting

  • my car is lowed and the wheels are well in the arch cant see my inner wheel well lasting long

  • You need dual inlined tires. Sure one size fits all... Of one type of tire....

  • @SeXephon

    /watch?v=y1IILyGDS00&feature=related

  • @colbykinz1 some people have to work even when it snows. maybe that's just american too?

  • @spuddud19 lol. do you think that canadians don't work when it snows? if we didn't work when there was snow outside we would only work 6 months of the year on a good year.. but no actually i've driven in american cities when it's snowed and they don't know how to do it. it's quite simple go into corners slow. all that's different really... or least what i do conciously.

  • Old school Mullet?

  • my moped just became an off road vehicle XD

  • lol. we canadians laugh at ice chains. it's called not driving like an american.

  • What if the car cannot move at all? My current tire chains are easily mounted without the need of moving the car

  • @sotirislar

    This too

  • @grrunf no, watch your own vid.... the guy in the vid moves the car....

  • @BarbarianStarcraft

If I show you a video where the guy is jumping from the building...

    will you jump too ?

  • @grrunf what the hell are you talking about? I refferred to your statement that you can put them on without moving the car...

  • @BarbarianStarcraft

    Exactly. You can do it.

...like they discussed on comments below.

  • @sotirislar

but when the wheels are spinning on the snow it would work

  • @Herby7800 Thanks for the answer. I guessed it would work but just had to ask. Seems good option to me

  • @sotirislar Use a jack, I guess. Kind of a pain in the ass though.

  • @sotirislar

What if the car can't move at all? Why would you need the whole car to move?

If you can't spin the wheels, you probably need a gas can, not chains ;-)

  • @sotirislar LOL yeah, the drive wheels will at least spin to turn the wheels so you can apply the rest of the"chain". As that other person said!

  • @sotirislar use a jack, and if you don't have one on your car, then you don't need to fuck around with chains anyways

  • where in the usa can i buy them?

  • @dieseifuel86

    from links in description

  • I live in Norway,

this wont work at all, atleast not here.

Be safe and buy winter tires. change the tires if it's snowing. or dont drive at all!!

  • the problem is i think many people are to lazy to put them on, even buy them. but its a freaking neat idea

  • Nice video with this chains on deep snow:

    /watch?v=y1IILyGDS00&feature=related

  • hmm, looks nice. ima research it a lil mo.

  • hey buddy u forgot your snow chain!

  • @MrLeadfootLeader Duct tape might work

  • @CAPCadetAwesome

    Not on wet snow.

U profiled wire works great !

  • very good system

  • It would not work 4 my car because my hub caps have no holes to put the zip ties through and what was with the music

  • i'm not convinced of this idea.

the reason why we use snow chains is because the snow is getting between the profile of our car tires because it's sticky result of that is that thera is no profile anymore and we loose grip.

a normal snow chain moves at al times and forces the snow to get out between the chains and we maintain our grip. And when i see this i look at plates which you mount on your tire. and for my my idea the snow still get stuck on the plates with result you lose grip.

  • One down....three to go...

  • OR.... just get winter tires?

  • i want ones 4 my motorbike

  • Were i buy this device? Mskfcity@gmail.com

  • love the idea. Can I buy it in Canada?

  • Putting them on on dry clean tires on pavement is pretty easy... try the same when your wheelwell is caked with 4 inches of ice and your stuck in slushy snow.

The reason most people dont use tire chains is because there a pain in the ass to put on, take off and you typically WILL have to take them off when you get to a paved road. If anything these look harder to put on then the conventional ones. Should probably also demo them in actual snow. Those might help in ice, not snow, too narrow.

  • Are these availiable in the U.S. yet??? If so, where at?

  • Instead of Ties I will prefer a C open spring: one side that goes inside the rim the other side on the chain.

I suggest that you have at list one clip with shorter length for different measures..

  • @Wolfox360

I use U profiled wire that holds chain fom above, much simpler and quicker.

They do. Half of connection hooks ara smaller size, so you combine.

  • @grrunf The Idea is Good, is you find a solution for the ties (avoid putting hands behind the tyre )it will be perfect.

Also for the Hook system, something to operate out from the Wheel area: Rear wheels don't turn like the front wheels

Will it have also a more "Agressive"design for Hardcore Ice? (When i go on a Ice track I dont have to swap Wheels :-D )

    Good luck with the project!!

  • Awesome idea! Chains cause jerking of the steering wheel and can cause a vehicle to be difficult to steer. A one time tow fee to get you unstuck can be a couple hundred bucks so it's not really that expensive. This is great. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Pfff for this price you can get used set of wheels for winter.

  • wow sweet chains ruin your hubs and these will not awesome i like it.

  • elevator music would of been the better choice

  • Nice idea, but crazy expensive 269.99 UK. I could see an issue trying to find the end to undo the unit from the tire. Maybe that link needs to be painted bright orange. Plus how easy is it really installing or removing in the winter with snow/ice caked into the holes? Oh to the people that have no clue that your suppose to PLAN ahead you know if the roadway is getting bad before you actually GET stuck. *roll my eyes*

  • @modette99

    That link is... any link.

    There is no "orange" one.

You can "undo or redo" the unit wherever you like.

On any part of chain, between any two plates.

  • @grrunf That was not clear in the video that it could be undone anywhere. Okay that seems fine then from that design aspect. What is the speed rating of this unit? What is the longevity? Thank you

  • @modette99

Maybe was not clear to you only.

The video is very clear (without snow), so you can see better.

Speed rating is decided by law. We tested 60mph with no problem.

Longevity is more or less, like any other snow chain, but here you have spare parts in case...

    you welcome ;)

  • @grrunf No, It was not clear lol. You are assuming that people realize you can brake that chain down anywhere, there is normally a "Master Link" that you undo. Elaborate further next time, assumptions are dangerous.

  • @phoenix92xdan - @modette99

this is new concept, is not "normally"

2 persons of 2,5 milions that didn't realize that the "universal chain, that can be adjusted to all measures" can be opened anywhere and assembled with any number of parts you need for your size. That's the main point of this concept.

    Congratulation

    That's also something. LoL

  • @phoenix92xdan it was painfully obvious and i ended up here randomly from a humveee video with no prior knowledge of snow chains... rub those two cells together, use your eyes, and apply a dash of common sense... c'mon now you can do it!

  • @grrunf if you're using this video to promote in hopes of gaining business, you need to learn some customer service "common sense" -- don't risk insulting your potential buyers by even risking sounding slightly condescending. You should've just left the "that was not clear" comment alone entirely or better yet, apologized for being unclear. You should've also spelled it out clearly in the video because the world has a surprising/sad amount of idiots and just generally dense/slow people.

  • @GodlyNoghri

Well... I don't sell anything and I'm not gaining any business.

I'm just showing my videos of this new invention, that I liked a lot.

I'm a little bit tired of responding to idiots and just generally dense/slow people to stupid coments or things that are so painfully obvious.

    Try to understand me. Tnx

  • I can put my chains in less time without having to move my car, with 0 tools

  • @Gryzorz

Very good, we are happy for you ;)

  • @grrunf Two things i need two know.First what is the music name and where can buy them?Regards:)

  • @agafi75

    1. anateus-alexander

    2. Links in description

  • @Gryzorz I can drive fine on snow and ice. I dont need tools or to move my car for that either.

  • That's cool

  • even the ladies can put them on

  • great idea

  • i will not be buying this product because i dont support the middle east

  • Are they legal in pA

  • but what are you gonna do if the car does not move a bit anymore.....? How do you get the chain around the tire, last winter my car was stuck completely and could not go even half a meter without the chains..... Usual chains does not have this Problem during installation.

  • @2szellem

You lay the chain on the ground, underneath the tire.

Chain track will give you added grip to drive on, or pull the chain under the tire.

U don't have to drive forward. You can lift, push, turn, go backward...

whatever you feel better and easier according to your possibilities.

this chains have even less problem.

  • well cant be used in germany

  • where do i buy them?

  • Cool technology but what the fuck is with the music so eritating

  • @devin2482

That's you tube audio swap. They muted the original soundtrack.

Cannot change it. Use the mute button.

  • @grrunf You can change it to another more appropriate for the video. Good invention tho.

  • @MegaCANAM800

I did. You picked the wrong video and didn't read.

Read too, do not watch only.

  • jajajaja very bad reviewing! shouldnt be there some sonw to test them on???? IDIOTS!!

  • @GASPERBLOW Hey dipshit. Maybe you didnt read the subtitles in the video. It clearly states no snow demo so you can see the usage easily. Then goes on to say watch my OTHER videos for snow demo! Gotta love the population.

  • Where can I buy it? Interested thing :)

  • This song brings out the psycho in me.

  • Arent it easier to just get snow-tyres? Even those without studs helps alot!

  • Too much work. Thts why 99% of drivers will just stick to buying all year all weather all purpose tires.

  • I had to use chains by law in the stupid town of Portland Oregon, even though no snow on the main roads, so I can surely appreciate the ability of riding on paved roads, I am definitely getting a few sets of these. Two cars batteries died from vibration damage due to standard chains on paved roads (required by Portland law at the time, mandatory and so on)

  • I think they would work good on a hard pack snow or ice condition but powder and slush I don't think they would be as effective.

  • @Deathadder097

    Correct.

Winter tire is enough on powder or slush.

  • what is the tension holding onto those... because I would be very wary of them walking off the tire.

I would not call that tire chains, I would call it tire cleats...

  • poorly designed... when in an emergency such as your car geting stuck in snow or ice on the ground the whole car will become dependent on that strip and the tires will spin within the strip if not tightened VERY tight which i doubt the females can do and some guys

  • @amanzak1234

Wrong. Chain must be perfectly adjusted before mounting (at home).

Cause of plates design there's no way that chain can spin on tire.

MUST be fitting perfectly and tight. Once adjusted, is not hard to use them.

I agree, not everybody is able to drive on snow or put on any chain.

  • @grrunf when stuck in snow, how do you drive forward to put the remainder of the chain on?

  • @RutcutterSr

You lay the chain on the ground, underneath the tire.

Chain track will give you added grip to drive on, or pull the chain under the tire.

U don't have to drive forward. You can lift, push, turn, go backward...

whatever you feel better and easier according to your possibilities.

  • @amanzak1234 Leverage.

  • @amanzak1234 Bad insight! It will work. But only when already stuck looks difficult to mount.

  • @amanzak1234 torque wrench ?

  • @amanzak1234 That wont happen, i agree this particular setup wouldnt work well but Ive run very very loose chains before and the entire wheel and chain will spin under the weight of the car before the wheel will spin within it. It mainly just looks like a a pain to install and zipties...? common.. would if you have steel wheels? Your screwed.

  • where I cand buy 4 of those????

  • @alexrockyou

    blumec.it ( links in description )

  • @grrunf Is there a discount if i purchase 96 of these?

  • @tehBLAX

I belive so, I'm not the seller.

    Contact "blumec.it"

  • Just buy and AWD car or SUV and never worry about chaining up again ☺

  • Good thinking and designing ,the tensioner worked very well.installation good just make two not looking zip ties :-) Possibly you could make heavier duty set for the heavier uses. Well done to ya

  • I like it, but 280 euros is a bit steep since you can get regular chains for $35.

  • So glad there was something to tension them. When he zip tied them on to the wheel I about died. There is no way i would trust zip ties to hold anything to my wheel. I still like real chains to these. They just look like they would hold on to the wheel better. Nothing worse then loosing a chain going down the road!

  • I like them BUT! would'nt it be easier to lay them flat a drive on them?.

  • @future14dentist, I own a tow company and suburu's are they most over estimated car I pull more suburu's out of ditches than any other!! People just get to confident with them...

  • @Jeconiahsack

Were that Suburu drivers wearing Gouci shirts and using Sumsang mobiles ? :))

  • Why u must buy subaru?? Is it good at winter?:))

  • Some people are so stupid on here... Very nice product!!!

  • Will these protect my tires from police spike strips?

  • @Frazzex

    No.

  • @Frazzex he chains will turn into spikes once you drive them on clean asphalt.

  • Yes you can drive them in winter, No they will not beat chains there simply isn't enough traction there

  • just buy a subaru....

  • what's the song name?????

  • thumbs up to the chains! thumbs down to the music..

  • how much are they?

  • or just buy some snow tires...

  • I'm just here for the funky music

  • we love it

  • very nice.

  • The zip ties seem like an unnecessary step, especially for those of us without open wheels.

  • rocking the indian music :D

  • is that zip tie

  • @MyloGraphics is that question hard to tell with no punctuation or grammar

  • Is too spensive,

  • Wheres the snow in all this testing ?

  • Nice. Do they make these for Semi Trucks? If not,They Should :)

  • Nice but how easily do they go on in some snow and not a dry parking lot?

  • @curciowest

easy as any chain. better put them on, on time ;)

  • snow chains

shows it driving on gravel and asphalt

  • @theKOchannel

Yeap, because we can do that too, but with standard chains cannot ;)

  • @theKOchannel Because they are made in Pula(Croatia) and there is unfortunately no snow to demonstrate .

  • What if I don't have those kind of rims? Hmm?

  • @KNGarver

You use different sistem to mount it, as I do. ( U-profiled wire, or jack)

  • new generation steal drift tires
