  • so beautiful... *sighs* i love lusitano horses.

  • lindo este cavalo lusitano:)

  • Very nice horse. However, I agree he is a bit too heavy and for sure grade 2 lame on right front. Only visible at the trot. Mild or moderate lameness is not evident at the canter as it is an asymmetric gait. I own an andalusian and am an equine vet and my eyes are fine.

  • Yeah, when I started watching the video, and saw him trot, he looked a little off to me as well. But I wasn't sure if maybe it was the footing, since it looks a bit deep. He was definitely lame on the right front though. And you should know! You're a vet! I've seen so many videos on YouTube of horses for sale, etc. that are lame! It's crazy! And the people don't even realize it! It's very irritating.

  • he looks lively...!

  • That horse is like heaven himself

  • beautiful

  • Beautiful horse, silly people and comments saying it is lame....they havn't a clue. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful video!

  • OMG whoever said this beautiful horse, in perfect stride, is lame... needs their head checked or at least needs to know what a lame horse walks/trots like. Ignoring that amatures comment, this stallion is simply breathtaking, I would love to see more of him and his type (iberian/baroque) on YT, these horses are the true horse kings and I have yet to see any breed of horse excel in both nobility and beauty.

  • aww the poor thing is lame :(

  • it is not lame. it just has gaits like andalusian horses. so you have never seen an iberian horse before??

  • that horse is so lame it can hardly trot

  • its not lame thats just how it trots im guessing you havent ever seen an iberian horse before

  • he's so NOT lame!

  • nice video and nice horse :)

  • errmm is this horse lame it so it bad...

  • Are you going to make another vid with Granero???

  • no. maybe next november in Golega. My friends will visit him/the stud soon but i am not going.

  • Woooow... he is sooo sweet :) Such a cute horse!!! I'm in love with him *:D*

Can you tell me his name???

    He's really handsome...awesome...gorgeous lool

And he is NOT fat!!! He is just a Lusitano, they are more compact than others, but if you say he's fat, you're crazy

  • his name is Granero. he is a well known breeding stallion in Portugal.

  • Thank you :) I admire him...if he's 16 yet, he's very fit, isn't he?

  • un semental español no tiene porque estar musculado...sino se trabaja engorda como cualquier caballo

  • beautiful stallion, amazing how attentive he is to the trainer/owner (?).

  • He is so beautiful!

  • Its dog lame in trot

  • Agreed.

  • Andalusians have a compact body, and stallions are so heavily muscled that they 'appear' fat. Compare an Andalusian stallion side by side to a Warmblood stallion and you can see what I mean. Awesome horse IMO.

  • This is a Lusitano horse (from Portugal not spain), not Andalusian.

  • awwww hes so beautiful.... I luv how when she snaps he changes direction... AMAZING

  • hes lovely..

  • gorgous horse! im a sucker for baroques. haha

  • beautiful stallion!!

  • Good looking.

  • Arrr he's beautiful! :)

  • Fat horse without muscles...

  • Okay, this is what I see about comments like these, jealousy, no knowledge, even stupidity, but please, don't leave comments like these on video's, keep your comments to yourself and learn to differenciate the fact that this is a muscely horse, just cos they're not steriodly buldging doesn't mean squat.

  • Look at the shoulder! There are no muscles!! And you see that he's totally stiff. A good riden horse is not walking like that.

And sorry I have knowledge. I think only because a horse has a nice movement it mustn't be only "beautiful" "good looking". It's a fat horse runing around...

  • Well, I can see weight on it, but growing up around salvaged starved knackery horses you know, I don't see that as a threat. It's a nice looking horse, not all horses need muscles, especially cos its a breeding stallion. It get's a decent work out by the look of it.

  • I'm sorry but if you think that horse is fat I'd hate to see the horses you class as ok, thin even. That horse is by no means fat, although your head may be.

  • Nice Stallion, I work at a Luso stud in the Uk and have two Part bred Lusos myself.. Great Horses..Nice Videos..
