I was there. I got to be the first family in the park that day. It was not as crowded as I thought it was going to be. The wait times were reasonable because people were doing other things, not just riding rides. Although it was so hot, it had to be over a hundred degrees.
@adwestmediairvine I just thought it might have been because Spanish is the unofficial/official language in the US Disney parks. All the safety spiels are said in Spanish.
I was in the choir on the right stairwell. Very top to the right wearing a white shirt.

God I love Disney & Disneyland. I can't believe it's been 55 years. My grandma was there on the opening day 55 years ago.

I wish I had been there to celebrate Disneyland's 55th anniversary. I love Disneyland almost as much as I love Walt Disney World.
