@icefiredarksector748 yep that's Five Minutes Alone by Pantera off the Far Beyond Driven album. Dimebag was one of the ones who made Dean famous, among others (Dave Mustaine) and he used the FBD ML on that album. I actually have an FBD ML.
@hollandia34 i have the same problem man, i have 2 dean ML's a stealth and a 79' and they are heavy as hell, and i have to carry it with me on a 1 hour bus trip. you can get a softcase but i preffer hardcases because the corners of the wings get damaged really bad quite easily.
I havnt played a Dean, but they dont seem very versitil to me. Manly ment for metal. Not a toltaly bad guitar but i wouldnt know never played one. anyone know how they play clean? And how is the sustain on them?

@PadmasanaRock I have this guitar and have jammed with a friend who's got a raxorback and they both play nice clean. they have their LP style guitars too that and vendetta (I think that's what their strat shaped ones are called) arent mainly metal.
then most of their endorsees are metal players yes. but they are indeed versitile

I saw the most beautiful Dean USA Custom Shop ML floating around on eBay a few days ago. it had a transparent white finish with black binding, an original floyd rose, emg 81 and 85s, and 24 frets with block inlays on an ebony fretboard. I want it so bad :(

Dean still make awesome guitars, just since Dean Zelinsky left to start another company (DBZ guitars...No, it doesn't stand for Dragon Ball Z ;P) they've been raping Dime's name pretty much, which is why Dean left, I think, but yeah, since 2002? I think? The guitars have slowly gone down hill from their awesomeness, but they're still pretty tasty, just not made like they used to be...
@CloudiHoe I dont know, Ive always found dean to be my favorite guitar company, with the only competitors being fender (for nonmetal) and higher quality BC Rich. The playability in even their cheapest models is some of the best I've ever played. I don't mind them using dimes name, because I like the resulting product.

I Take my Strats to war and sand down the neck so my 4 digits are a half inch from my thumb,Same with my ibanezes and Strat customs.Try playing the newer Mustaine V's, i thing you will like them.Great feel!! andthe pickups have balls and claraty. shit i wish i could afford one! times are tough.I think Dean is a damn good company.

@PsychoSocial13xD Flick your G string(3rd from the bottom) with your finger on any fret dump the bar to where the strings are barely flapping tap a natural harmonic on the way back up use your ear to keep it in key, there is also a video dime does if you wanna look it up to hear it from Dime himself.

Something about this guitar makes me want it but the size of it seems a little obnoxious even though it is a badass looking guitar. although i may wait till i can afford the even more bad ass CFH version.
I've got a Dean and I'm really happy with it. Cost me 700 Euros, and apart from the pickups it's a great guitar. I got new pickups for 200 Euros and now it's amazing. Dean isn't even compareable to B.C. Rich, and I personally enjoy my Dean Cadillac Select more than most other guitars I've played out there. It's sweet. :)

@guitarplayer9090 Just got mine from the UPS man and I have to say 12 lbs isn't really that much.
It has gret sustain for the standard DMT Design pickups and stays in tune well
mine was a little off when i got it but its fine now :D

I've got a Dean and I'm really happy with it. Cost me 700 Euros, and apart from the pickups it's a great guitar. I got new pickups for 200 Euros and now it's amazing. Dean isn't even compareable to B.C. Rich, and I personally enjoy my Dean Cadillac Select more than most other guitars I've played out there. It's sweet. :)
