  • yes sir! \m/-_-\m/ i cant wait toapply in may

  • Haha MCpl Vater's speech LOL

  • lol dust bunny.

  • Rod Vaders.....hell of a guy, and hell of a Solider!! He was my Mcpl back in 1997 with the 1RFLDR, I now myself am a Master, but ide still follow him through the gates of hell!! Hope all is well Rod.....RH

  • Wow nothing like my basic.

  • why does he say F***. should be disciplined. Sign of poor education and professionalism .

  • @MrGunner109 That's nothing, He doesn't even swear that much at all compared to some instructors I've had.

  • I thought equality was a two way street if men have to do 19 why can't women

  • Need to get another Basic up for 2012 :O or 2011 :3 Just saying :D

  • Some of those women need to wear more supportive sports bras!!

  • @lmjaimes1 ohhh yea, that looks like it hurts 0.o

  • 7:30 He sounds like Deaner from FUBAR haha.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this series! I hope to be going to do my BMOQ this summer, if I'm accepted into ROTP, and this is really educating me on some of the expectations that I will have to meet at St. Jean. It really helps my preparation for basic training and that's very appreciated!

  • You people seem to think it's all about push ups and being in shape, LOL !

It's about teamwork, attention to details, looking after one another to make sure everybody is meeting the requirements, establishing a checklist procedure to arrange your stuff and your quarters to meet inspection. It's very tough.

  • I learned at school that when you do sit ups you must not put your hands on the back of your head, because when you do this your hands are pushing too, and sit ups are for abdominal right?

Am I right or this is untrue? I saw many people doing this, so I was wondering.

  • I plan to apply in june and i have recently started a workout program monthly until then do believe that ones physical attributes will be up to par for the military ? I dont have poor physical strength just struggle to meet the 20 pushes. I want to destroy the test. so I hope I have set up enough time for my self.

  • @FemaleEmceeNetwork ah same here! i recently started at the gym again to get in better physical shape kinda let myself go. I hope i can complete the pushups since i have always struggled with them haha. Anyways Good luck and i hope all goes well for you :)

  • Hit the gym and work with weights a couple times a week. Include push ups into your every day life, like doing 25 when a commercial break happens while you're watching television. See if you can hold the push up position and listen to Mcpl Vaters words of command at 7:12 towards the end at 9:06 with relative ease. I did my DP1 combat engineer course, after BMQ and BMQ(L), and there was much more PT involved. Don't expect the cock and PT to end at BMQ, especially if you're in combat arms.

  • Do you need to graduate to join the infantry in the regular forces?

  • @GuitarMasta4334 Yes you must complete basic training before you can join either the Reserves or the Regular force.

  • @GuitarMasta4334 graduate high school first it will help alot if you plan to stay in the military.

  • @GuitarMasta4334 this is for both forces and reserve, its primary basics, in forces they do more advance training

  • The now SGT. VATERS was my instructor, great guy and I work with him now.

  • sometimes when i watch this show i wonder if people even work out at all before they sign up

  • Five weeks into training and she can't do 25 pushups easily?

  • Arent there any female instructors?

  • @ShadowDeathBl1tz Yes there are female instructors.

    ~Thanato

  • Im 16 and waiting on my call for the reserve unit i applied for. I am so pumped for this i keep thinking about that call every minute. I cant wait for high school to end to start my career!

  • @powes1 You don't have to finish high school

  • The guy in the begining with the blue beret, kinda looks/sounds like jack black :P

  • they don't have the best form for push ups when they start, i can understand when they are getting to their level, but it gets you stronger if you do it right.

  • That AF Sgt. at the beginning of this video looks a lot like a neighbor I used to have.

  • what if i can do 25 push ups before i start to get tired and can do 35 sit ups before i start to feel strain would that be enough to be able to start?

  • so much for privacy

  • the pet dust bunny made me laugh

  • How much time is there between submitting your direct entry papers, and the medical examination. Also, when is the next officer training course?

  • This can vary. Talk to your local recruiting centre for more information.

  • @gfunkel200 for me it was less than a month

  • @gfunkel200

Iapplied recently and when I did they told me 6-8 months

  • @mikems666 same man, I just applied. 8 months to wait.

  • @gfunkel200 took me 1 year 4 months to wait for my trade

  • I can wait to join the army im 17 years old but i look like a 13 year old. Im going to surprise them with my push ups and stuff i did 57 in 1 min. Gymnastics and sports really helps:}

  • @stevophil when ur in combat i bet it helps to weigh a lil more too im talking hand to hand combat im only 150lbs im tring to gain at least 20 pounds be i aply

  • trust me they wont care how much you do, dont go to the army thinking your going to wow them in any way shape or form.

  • I'm the same way, any idea when you are going to basic? I laughed at season 1 when they said we have to shave every morning no matter what! xD

  • @stevophil If you're going combat arms and you have to do your trades BFT, they put actual weight into the exam. For artillery we had bench press with 45lb weights on each side.

The reason being, you could have a 4'10 95 pound person who can pump out 150 pushups, run a 15 on the beep test, yet can't even lift one arty shell.

  • @stevophil Bahahaha, pushing up 100lbs of body 57 times in one minute isn't very impressive ;)

  • @stevophil You can join the army at the age of 17.

  • @SupportOurTroopsCF yes you can, thats the minimum age, and have completed grade 10 and minimum 50 credits in highschool.

  • It's funny you say that. I am a male who went to St Jean thinking I could do the pushups but ended up doing -only- 6 for the first express test. This was enough to continue with the platoon. By the week 8 express test (The one that counts) I did 23. As long as improvment is there I don't see what's wrong with her doing those pushups like that.
