Technically the object with more mass would be attracted gravitationally to the floor (lots of mass) & the one with less mass would not be pulled to the same extent. This experiment proves one other thing. No matter how much proof you give to some people, they will never accept fact. "The feather was made heavier, the hammer/ball was lighter." Even if that is true, in a vacuum, that wouldn't have mattered regardless, they still would fall at the same rate. The objects are falling towards the ground, speed over time is v(t) = a*(t^2)+v_0, the velocity at t=0 must be 0 m/s, so it can be excluded, the acceleration, a, of the objects must be the same as the gravitational acceleration, g, (approx 9.80 m/(s^2)) so the velocity over time will remain the same. This doesnt always apply to real world, due to wind resitance etc.

ok? I answered my own question kinda. So just the density of the air creates resistance to the feather in an atmosphere. So in space which is a vacuum there in no air or density of air therefore allowing the objects to fall at the same speed because gravity is the only influence? Is this close at all lol

It's not plastic. It's a bell jar made of borosilicate glass. The shape enables it to withstand the external force. The air is pumped out by a two stage rotary pump that is out of view.

First off, the feather fell at the same rate because inside a vacuum chamber there is no air resistance and therefor falls at the same rate as the bearing. Whereas in normal atmospheric conditions, the feather has a larger air resistance than the bearing.

And secondly, there is no such thing as a stronger gravitational field. Unless your a fucking dumbass who belives in movies.

Actually it isn't fake. The reason it does not go slower is simply because a vacuum gets rid of all the air inside taking away any air resistance. When you do this the feather being lighter does not matter. Take grade 11 physics.
