  • can u use kers??

  • f1 06 for ps3 was epic. period. 09 psp just sucks! IF YOU WANT A PSP RACING GAME GO FOR GTPSP. srsly, the physics are waaaaaaayyyy too easy in f1 09. anyways, im from sg, u:?

  • the f1 09 game : 4/10 , is a bad game , but in the future , codemasters do the god game of f1 . excuse me the inglish

  • singapore is by far the least entertaining race i've seen in my past 10 years watchin f1..the worst track of all dim grounds, less flat-out corners, bumpy tracks,etc..the fia should do something.

  • I was expecting great things from this game, and after playing it for the first time, it brought me major disappointment. Only positive is that the graphics are superb, though not brilliant on the cars itself

  • Is good game

  • shit game

  • They left out the white stripe detail for the Ferrari F60, dang, looks so weird in the game without those stripes.

  • You can crash????Because I don't see any video crashing

  • yes you can. You can destroy your front wing and rear wing. And damage your tyres, they wont come off but just hang there.

  • you suck at driving when i played the first day i got it i only went off of the track 1 or 2 times no lie

  • damn youre so cool.

  • That's correct. They made F1 2001,2002 and challenge.

  • After completing one year of career I can confirm that it's a step back from F1 06.

  • damn because ive got f1 06 and im going to buy this game today is it THAT bad?

  • I love F1 so much that, I was gonna love this game no matter how bad it was. But my God there are some amount of faults.

Not allowed choose fuel for prac or quali

Start of gp's are crazy, cars moving everywhere

Crash damage worse than other years

A.I way too slow on hard mode, game not challenging enough.

Too easy to pass, slipstreaming still in the game, despite being gone from F1.

Career mode is lifted from F1 06, no innovations whatsoever

    No limit on tyres used.

    And the OVERSTEER???

  • Yes, but the game isn't perfect. Especially the handling and the AI are reason for concern. I gave it a 7/10, you can read the review on my site.

You can find the url in my YouTube profile.

  • so you recommend it for psp? :)

  • Its actually better than the previous F1 06...

  • I think so too. But remember that this game came out 3 years later.

To put this in perspective compare Studio Liverpool's F1 2003 game with F1 06.

  • From what i know, EA Games also created F1 games right?

  • Yeahv but there was Studio Liverpool too

  • The graphigs are good?????I thing is not very good.....Please answer me

  • For a PSP game it is good. The tracks look exactly the same as in real life, apart from some missing objects. The cars are easily recognizable and I like the timing graphics. When it rains you can see the reflection on the track and sometimes you can even see standing water.

With that said of course F1 2009 for the wii looks better. And yes so does Gran Turismo PSP. But the latter doesn't have the dynamic weather, the pit stops and 20 cars on the track. I'm still enjoying this arcade (!) today.

  • OK I will buy it on psp.....thanks for the help....

  • - Game is called F1 2009.

    - All tracks are unlocked from the start.

-I don't know if AI cars use KERS. Sometimes they suddenly gain (considerable) speed on straights so I like to think that they do.

  • hey, its me again, are you going to be posting up any more videos? it's my birthday this weekend and i was going to put this on the list, along with a few other ps3 games, and i'd like to see more gmaeplay videos

  • do ai use kers as wel?????

  • Is the game tittle called F1 Forumula 2009 ? singapore map need to be unlock ?

  • no just F1 2009 and you only unlock trophies, challenges and helmets no tracks i think

  • Damage is weak in this game. But it's not that big of a deal.

  • no car damage? what a shitty crap

  • can you play multiplayer?

  • Yes worth it especially (!) for F1 fans. When you put rules to strict, things get really realistic. You can get a penalty for anything then. But be prepared to live with frame drops at the start of GPs and a very arcade handling model.

  • Is it worth it mate? :)

  • i just did the special challenge where u have to drive in the rain with normal tyres=D

  • Sounds difficult. How did it go?

  • well the main point was to hold off ur opponents in the last 2 laps of the belgian gp and win the race and the AI are having wet tyres to play with, braking for a corner was hard, had to brake much earlier than usual, and u had to turn in a corner at much slower speeds otherwise serious understeer kicks in=( accelaration was extremely slow on the exit, but still the ai is pretty crap beated it in like 2 tries=D

  • hell you can´t drive lol

  • a full joy ;)

i am unlocking the challenges right now

    damn good indeed.

  • Hey, have you tried the time trial for this track ?

  • Not yet. But I did drive a few laps in free practice. I never liked this track much in PC mods like rfactor but for some reason (probably because of the game physics) the circuit really enjoyable in this game.

  • Yup . I like this track very much . :)

  • @PJ2436

Damage is like F1 06. The front wing can come off and the tyres. But the tyres will never completely come off, they'll just hang there.

There does seem to be a difference in cars. People tend to be quickest with Brawn. And I drove with a renault in China and I couldn't keep up, finished 9th so pretty realistic.

On top of that the cars seem to react differently to each track. Ferrari can be top 3 quick but sometimes they're stuck in mid field. Same goes for Mclaren.

  • @PJ2436

The cars do oversteer (depending on the setup) in real life but not to this extend. It drives like Grid.

KERS could be balanced. Like in real life the non-KERS cars have won the championship. The season in general has been a bit unfair this season - with the double diffuser and all.

Pitting is okay. You don't have to press any buttons (hallelujah) and the car drives itself in the pit and out. But you can't press a button and go in the pit, so no mid-race change of strategy.

  • I think it's good. Maybe almost 8/10. Realize thought that I'm a F1 fanatic.

    Pro's:

    -2009 cars, teams, tracks.

-Lots of modes: career, ad-hoc, challenges, world championship.

    -Graphics

    Cons:

-Kers for all cars, should be just Ferrari and Mclaren.

-driving needs somers getting used too, cars oversteer

-No safety car and (in race) adjustments to the race strategy.

  • the 2009 cars are naturally oversteery cars, and if they only had kers on 2 cars it would give them an unfair advantage to all the others as they can't replicate the advantages of no kers on the cars in the game. how does pitting work in this game? does it have the button pressing for diffferent actions? and what about damage? is the damage good?

  • and also and very important, is there a speed, handling and/or sound difference between the cars?

  • I'd say the car damage on it is not realistic enough, and commentary is disappointing. Otherwise it's excellent.

  • Is it very good? :P

  • It is good. Graphics are awesome. Driving needs some getting used to because the cars really oversteer.

-Get it if you like F1.

  • im getting this tommorow. how good is it?
