  • This train ride is one of the smoothest rides i have had in an airport train. It is also very modern, especially compared to the train at O'hare airport. How i hate that train, Dallas' train is the best whatsoever

  • @mrjg630

Yes, the train at Dallas airport was very nice!

  • i always ride this

  • @geovvani1

    It's a great system!

  • I ride the Skylink every time I got to DFW. For some reason I call it "The Woon Doon Doon Doon things".

  • do you know where I might find a video of the old trAAin? I know how horribly innefficient it was, but still, the last time I rode it was in february of 1997 (maybe later than that!). Just curious.

  • Sorry, I don't have any idea - maybe somebody else watching this video might know?

  • @chrisz71 ,

Here is a video by Citytransportinfo about the old DFW Airport Train including some of the three car TrAAins that operated inside security and served the AA terminals.

Search "Dallas DFW Airport Airtrans APM in 1998"

  • I love the Dallas Airport Skylnik. Each time I go there, I can't miss it!

  • Does this train take you all around Dallas Airport?

  • Yes, I'm pretty sure it connects all of the terminals...

  • I have rode skylink many times because I actually had to, still as fun as a joyride!

  • How long does it take to go all the way around the airport or 2 terminals? I may have to do this while I wait.

  • That's a good question I don't remember the answer two! My guess is you could easily do it in an hour but I just don't remember for sure. I think the times are clearly posted so you can experiment without missing you flight. Please write back and let us know!

  • It takes twenty minutes to go all the way around the system. Your ride should be 10 minutes or less from boarding to your destination terminal. There is a 3 minute wait between trains during peak times (7am-9pm), 5 minutes off peak (9pm-1230am) and 8 minutes midnight (1230am-5am).

  • @homestarfan2008 You can make a complete circuit in about eighteen minutes. And if the weather is clear, you can enjoy a really nice view of downtown Dallas (about twenty miles away to the southeast) and Fort Worth (about twenty-five miles away to the southwest).

  • I was just on that today! Great airport...

  • I remember being on that, it was awesome.

  • lol I LOVE THE SKYLINK..it's so fascinating and awesome! and believe me, when they say "hold on" you better do it LOL

  • going back home on sunday from dallas, i almost lost grip of the rail when the skylink train accelerated at the arrival of the terminal.

  • I'll have to ask if we can layover in DFW sometime, LOL.

  • The SkyLink is my favorite thing at DFW Airport and is my most favorite airport transportation device. When I fly out to SAN, I have to connect between MSY (in New Orleans) and DFW and vise versa, and I always have to ride the SkyLink to the appropriate gate area. I rarely have the time to take a joy ride during connections, but I do get to take it to the correct gate area. GO SKYLINK!!!
