Considering Astroboy came out in the 50's and Megaman came out in the late 80's.

It's pretty safe to say Megaman is a MAJOR ripoff of Astroboy and would get his blueberry ass handed to him and turned into scrap by Astroboy

Though fantastical at times, the story was told well enough to allow for suspension of disbelief; the magic tricks are fun, but the story really draws the viewer in. It is really nice movie to see on kookíca. So dont wait, come and enjoy it.

We aren't really calling it our own- Japan approved of it, first. I do agree that it might be for money, but the movie could have been worse than its going to be. All I can think is at least they remained a little faithful to Tezuka's concept. I think I'm going to enjoy this and I've been watching and reading different generations of Astro Boy since the beginning of this year.

Stanley Kubrick was a huge fan of Astro Boy (really) and for all intents and purposes Astro Boy was the first serious look at the possibilities of a real android and what life would be like for one. Astro Boy is a major influence behind Japan being the world leader in Robot technology

meh, not really sure why they picked a voice actor going through puberty with all the half mature vocal chord and what not, and you get this half coarse half juvenile vocal tune.  not very pleasing to the ear. i lost some appetite listening to it. i don't even know how old the character in the anime is, but no it's got nothing to do with pointlessly picking a voice actor of the exact same age. think harry potter. or any women half way past 20 posing as high school teens in school drama.
