I can't believe I'm getting into a debate over this, but I think this episode made it clear that, while the Power Coins were 'destroyed', they still carried the ability to Morph a person into a Ranger. It's just not healthy to morph without the Power Coin charging the whole thing. So without it, the Ranger gets weaker and weaker. But as the theme to MST3K always says: "I should repeat to myself Its Just A Show, I should really just relax" :) God I feel lame for discussing this ;)

well it was explained back when Kimberly had her power coin stolen. Even tho she didn't have it anymore, she still had the power inside her, but using that power weakened her, hence her accident during the gymnastics. so even tho the rangers power coins were destroyed, they still had the ranger power inside em, but using it comes with a risk.

Think it may of been that powers where switched instead of copied like in mmpr. Then also I think it may be because to the command center was destroyed and the powers went with it. Since the power coins had their own power source so far as I gather it would make it easy to use that instead even though it may not be stable. This is what I gathered when I us to watch it when it first came out.

it was mid part of mmpr season when they switched who was black ranger and think it was Zack but they had it who was black ranger last and it was Adam before zeo. That was the time they switched up to who was going to be red,yellow and black. I am just puzzled why they didn't have Adam go green zeo since his power coin was destroyed with the others when they tried getting back to there normal age so they could use the power coins again.

actually sentinel knight got adam from the current time, and sentinel knight used his own powers to restore the rangers powers. so basically adam's powers were completely restored by sentinel knight. only person who time travelled was spd red ranger, every1 else was current time.

yea i kno. rocky would have been the blue turbo ranger but during a training session for the karate tournament that tommy,adam, and rocky were in rocky falls out of the ring and injures his back so when they when the rangers go to see rocky at the hospital justin over hears them talking and learns they're the PRs so rocky sent justin in his place and zordon gives justin the blue turbo ranger power. it was in TURBO:A Power Ranger Movie...i have it:)

he was losing power because of two things:

1) the morpher he used was damaged (when he takes it out the bag you can see a huge crack going all the way through it)

2) he didnt have a power coin to complete the morph (they were destroyed in MMPR, although supposedly restored thanks to Zordon's Z-Wave in the last espisode of PRIS)

Because of this, he couldnt properly connect to the Universal Morphing Grid, and therefore lost power very rapidly. It could have been fatal.

his Zeo morpher was upgraded to a Turbo morpher in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Then, he passed on his Turbo Powers to Carlos. Whether he still has his Turbo morpher however, we never find out

because he still had his morpher. his morpher allowed him to morph, his power coin would have allowed him to morph safely i.e. connected him properly to the Universal Morphing Grid. however, even if he HAD still got his coin, then the damage to the morpher would've meant that he would have probably still lost power, although not as rapidly as he did WITHOUT a coin.

well, in answer to your first question, i dont know why the turbo powers were lost, i guess it was part of the storyline. and your poitns seem logical as well. but the turbo morphers are linked to the zeo morphers because the zeo morphers are upgraded in turbo: a power rangers movie. there is a line where zordon says 'even the zords wouldnt beat divatox' before they create the turbo zords. he is referring to the zeo zords
