Tobacco River adventure, Farwell to Beaverton in on long day: a kayaking 1st descent?

My only question is why the Tobacco River??? I grew up in Farwell, I've tubed the Tobacco when I was a kid. Didn't go as far as you did. It did look like an adventure!

@tgrab00 My buddy Brian grew up in Beaverton and has always wanted to do it. We made an attempt in 30 degree weather last October and quit after 15 hours so there was a challenge to see if we could complete it this time. We love a good challenge!

@ericcarlsonweb I'd say it was about 50/50. I don't think that river has seen many kayakers.
