Tell me about it, there is also a book called Blue Pirates. I know alot about this case. I was in Prison with Armando Garcia' Dirty Water. Most Colombian inmates did not liked him. Quite some characters inside I tell you. The other fellow that was our friend inside was Sergio Sandoval. There is also a movie about him called Traffic. Good stuff.

yes..its been extrodinary the life and times of these river cops...they were still good men. caught up in time where all was fair in love and war...

I am one of the river cops, and yes clearly stated, back in those days anything was fair in the drug war.

@1955mrc i'm so glad you survived and hear to talk about it. it was a brutal and a vicious time in miami. tragically for many of us men and women who didn't realize how bad it was and just caught up in the party and the money, but not the killing. we were innocent. did you have to pay a price for that era? which river cop are you?

not so much truth in all the books written, fabrication. there is life after all of this...

it was a detour but not the right road to take.. and it happened to many of us in miami...the river cops are not alone.

I've been waiting for years for Walker Fitzgibbon to either put this on the screen as a documentary (pbs, maybe?) or in the movies. Is money the delay? I can't wait to see it. I even have actors in mind for you!

@SisReilly you and me both. needs to be more commercial. its a tough sell for drug movies. there have been maybe 10 drug movies that did well in the box office..

i think it should be more about the journey of the river cops and not about the drugs. after all they are people and only human.

I was waiting for a film like this the last film that was anyhting close was scareface, this one looks real and cover's everyhting you want the drugs the power the money the respect the killings the disloyalty the cops I want to see this and I know south florida will be sying to see this movie aswell this is what miami wants to see when they go to the movie theatre's real life action they grew up with this in miami

When I saw the trailer I thought I was looking outside my backyard WOW!!! Wow, What a film; it will be right up there with Scarface!! This is an Amazing True Story Drug dealers and Cops killing each other and ripping each other off... it doesnt get any better then That!!!
