  • Our so-called "economy"-is precisely what is causing this.

  • @samtparry Apparently I do. Follow the money big boy. And use your brain. There is NO SCIENCE that says AGW is responsible for climate change. It is a hypothesis built upon computer models that have failed to match observations. We have receding coast lines, reduced cyclonic activity, record cold in the Arctic. Look it up. Don't be a lemming.

  • While it may be argued that uncertainties in the accuracy and fidelity of modeling tools are sufficiently great that they should not be relied upon 2 forecast reliably the effects of enhanced sunlight scattering on the climate that THEY ARE FUNDAMENTALLY UNVERIFIED PREDICTIVE TOOLS, it is these same modeling tools – not the presently quite ambiguous observations of the actual climate – that are considered sufficiently robust 2 motivate the present level of concern about manmade climate change.

  • @voice1 that was a quote from "Global Warming and Ice Ages: I. Prospects for Physics-Based Modulation of Global Change" they basically admit all global warming projections are based on modeling tools that are "Fundamentally Unverified"

Ask @drkstrong how he feels about Global Warming....

  • @R3zn8D GW is happening, it is largely human caused, and is a threat to our economy, health, and way of life. Appart from that there is nothing to worry about.

  • @voice1 The money leads back to Exxon et al - $9.4B profit in the last QUARTER (down slightly - poor lambs) for that one company alone.

A statement like "There is NO SCIENCE that says AGW is responsible for climate change. " is utter nonsense. Crack afew science textbooks and get back to us when you understand a modecum of physics. Dont be duped by the coal, oil and gas indsutry propaganda.

  • Cap and Trade is just another racket, but this climate change is real. See the story of stuff explain why C&T is not a good solution to this problem. We need to be prepared for the mass migrations and mass famines.

  • you're a bunch of lemmings. The AGW machine is trying to scare you into handing over your money and your freedoms. And the truth is, you idiots desrve to be broke and locked up if you don't want to do your homework on what the truth is. CO2 is a trace gas. It does not lead to disasters such as depicted here. And the majority of the fires were caused by arson, according to the Texas Forrestry Service.

  • @voice1 So, you know more than every major national academy of science in the world? It must be nice to be such a genius. I wish I was as smart as you.

  • man, we are really fucking up our planet

  • it's time to sharpen the guillotines, the greedy bastards causing this have no intention of stopping. as che guevera said, "it's time to stop crying and start fighting".

  • Yeah, but remember everybody, Global Warming is a 'myth' according to Conservative 'Scientists'.

The same morons who think Jesus is coming to 'save' them...LOL

  • WOW!This Year Weathers Is Record Breaking and not a good one. What have we done @EDFund

  • A plot of the worldwide data for the Palmer Drought Severity Index shows there has been an unprecedented decrease in world drought severity over the past 30 years. In 1936, over 12,000 people died in the US from heat related drought compared to 22 blamed deaths in 2011.The Texas Forest Service's info on these fires said most were suspected arson events.

  • @voice1 Actually, in July, every single county in Texas was declared a disaster area due to abnormally low rainfall. Numerous records were broken. Perhaps fewer people die because we're much better equipped to deal with disasters - for example, how many people in 1936 had air conditioning? Not many, since residential sales of air conditioners weren't substantial until the 1950's. And while there may have been other causes for the wildfires, the drought is what made them spread so drastically.

  • @voice1 LOL! You're comparing people dying from drought in 1936 to 2011? You are one large idiot.

  • @voice1 -- That'll teach you to get your environmental news from those idiots, won't it?

  • None of this is unprecedented....another fear movie designed to suck you of affordable energy, your money and your freedoms.

  • @voice1 -- Yeah, you know those environmentalists, always stealing your freedoms by protecting the planet you live on. Yeah -- right.

  • and that is just in the USA...

  • Happy to live where I do! But we are all living on thin ice sorta speak.
