  • KATRINA WAS 1 HELL OF A BITCH

  • please show some respect to all those who had to endure this horrible experience. this is a very sore spot for alot of us in the new orleans area. many of us lost friends either to death or relocation. it's been four years come aug. 29 th. please come and visit if want to see devistation. many parts of the city look as if the storm passed last week. help a stranger rebuild. it's the american way.

  • Death Cab For Cutie says it best. I love this Video.

  • nice video.i live new orlens.

  • SLIDELL louisiana here right next to new orleans

  • If you can belive it I live here in new orleans and we are STILL hurting here. When dose the pain from Hurricane KATRINA end? Theres still a lot of BS here from the GOV. I live thinking when is it going to happen again? Still NO wet land repairs .........it just a matter of time befor it happens again!!! God help us.

  • @elaineacummins So get out...!!!! The government doesn't owe you shit.

  • @EmbraceALLnations I dont think the Gov. owes ME a thing! I do belive the US Army Corps of Engineers needs to do a better job! It was levee walls that failed that THEY built that allowed this city to flood. GET THAT RIGHT!

  • Cudos to that one reporter "That is all the perspective you need."

"Fuck you Cheney." was also another favourite moment for me. My heart goes out to all the people that suffered from Katrina.

  • this is so sad for what happend in new orleans and big boy 45454545 ur a dumb head because what if u were in there would you like it if they were talking junk about you i sure wouldnt so why would u it is a sad thing that happend to those people the people who survived are lucky so much damge they had and ur sitting here talking junk about them and what would you do if u were in there place i bet u would be very misreable because millions of people in new orleans lost there home you didnt

  • i was in katrina....the newz said all must go not one person should be in the city when the storm blew over....i say it was scary...my daddy stayed behind when i leaft out wit my mom and saying goobbye was the hardest thing....not knowing if i would ever see him again....3months past no sign....then one night a man with an n.o.pd hat stood in the doorway...i knew god waz there every step of the way.

  • What does that have to do with the video? Your an idiot....

  • *cough* that last comment was for aegraehbe.

  • and the most loved is Canada.

  • I can only say my heart goes out to everyone that had to endure this situation.

  • the puppet was stupid! this is serious

  • I agree. Geoge.W.Bush only makes wars in the world. We must stop this and live a better United States. End of anarchy Bush.

  • i think this is a horrible example about how we live in such a divied nation. Our government didn't act quickly enough to save our own but as soon as something happens in another country our military is there in no time. What's gonna happen the next time something like this happens?? it's shouldn't cost innocent people's lives for us to get it together i think it's horrible the way they just "ignored" the fact people were trapped there helpless with noting. :( thank you for posting this.

  • we did this to ourselves. we are getting dumbed down and the government is taking advantage of it. If we just sit around and complain nothing is ever going to get done. They just want us to sit and complain and put the blame on someone else when we have lost the sense of what our founding fathers wanted for us. The Government has proven itself untrustworthy since 1913 and we havent done anything about it. Shame on "We the People"

  • i was there staying in the ramada inn on bourbon st.i had my folks with me.the horror and helplessness of those 4 days still haunt me.the images, the suffering, watching my stepdad dying because of lack of medication,i was so desperate to get them out i contemplated attacking an idiot police officer who returned to the inn on bourbon st for personal belongings.after 3 days i managed to get my family out on the back of a pick up truck to baton rouge.i love the usa but it failed its own.unforgivable

  • Why were you staying in a place that was under madatory evacuation? The excuse most use is that they were poor and couldn't leave, but you were in a hotel. Why? Were you not aware that an evacuation had been ordered and the worst disaster in history was being prepared for? They had been warning us about it for days.

  • Please read my post up above Ricey.

  • bush is such an asshole ,where the hell was he when this happend, you wanna go invade a country and you cant even help your own what a dick head!!!!!OBAMA 4 O8

  • the U.S. needs to see this video. they think that everything is fixed. ITS NOT.

  • Hold on was the okay? George W. Bush is a fucking dip shit also. Everyone in Australia thinks so. Sorry New Orleans.

  • my grandpa wanted to stay he said he was raised in this house and he'll die with this house . luckly we where able to talk him into leaving . the house roof was torn off and the whole area had flooded the floor sunk in and the house fell apart . my uncle however did stay with his cat . rescuers came and got him and said that he couldnt take the cat . but he got is cat back threw the spca. but katrina was a true killer .

  • i lived in new orleans

    before and after katrina .

they lost homes ..people were dying of sickness and starvation . they had no food . no water . people where being murdered and raped . but me and my family are amoung the lucky few . we evacuated 2 indiana .

  • some of you have very ignorant comments, and you will more than likely roast in hell.

  • Man. Hey i think you would like my hurricane katrina video on my youtube homepage. Thank i hope you watch it.

  • die slow mr.bush real talk

  • if this happend in texas he'd bring soldiers from Iraq back to the U.S. to save a bunch of upper middle class white families...fuck this system

  • Fuck George W. Bush

  • i wish the people with the power would have to go through what we went through how would bush make it with water or food days in 100 plus temps we are a stronge people new orleans!!!!!!!!!!!!! we will rise better off from this horror we will make a better place for our children remember our fore fathers black and white alike we have what it takes i love new orleans we will rise again better that before and thank you to all who have helped us

  • ...And two years later, the Gulf Coast is still in ruins.

  • i've never seen these clips, my aunt's house had no cable. it's like living through it all over again seeing the news clips cause they're so fresh to me.

  • I think we can do without the music. The silence would be much better and say alot more. Oh by the way....I'm from New Orleans and am a survivor of all this.

  • Watching all of the coverage on TV during this time made me so angry to see my people standing on rooftops begging for help in the land of the free. They rush to other countries to help when the Tsumi came but we can't couldn't help one of our states. God bless all of the states, and people's lives that Hurricane Katrina fucked up!!!

  • when black people see things like this they should automatically get the urge to step up their game. education, cultural awareness- african cultural awareness, they should stop spending money on worthless items i.e weave, relaxers, rims, jewellry, video games etc. They should start buildin things and ownin things. coz to be honest, to turn around and beg those white ppl hu they despised pre hurrican katrina for help was pathetic.

  • That is a good idea. P-diddy should lead the charge. But he won't and neither will anyone other black man. They don't lead very well.

  • i had a row with a bloke who liv3ed by the river and he was carping on about the floods and that the flood defences weren't good enough, I was going to argure that money could be spent on better things but I changed my mind and chinned the twat good and proper

  • Heckuva job Brownie.

  • Whats the name of this song???

  • Hello,

The song is "Transatlanticism" by Death Cab for Cutie

  • Thank you so much..

  • Beautiful video, but it made me SO ANGRY all over again. I'm a native New Orleanian and I would like to offer a challenge to all of you out there watching this video, moved by it, angry about it. I suspect that everybody who wasn't already registered to vote has done so by now, but if you still haven't... PLEASE find out what you need to do, and get it done. Make it your business to get involved and start voting against pr*cks like Bush and Cheney. Filthy, corrupt and soulless bastards.

  • FUCK THIS GOVERNMENT BEAUTIFUL VIDEO

  • This was very sad. I remember how sad and angry me and a lot of Houstonians felt after waiting and watching the situation get worse and noone would go get them. We wanted them to come but didnt know how to get them here without the Governments help. I still cry when I see these images of Katrina. I just want to acknowledge and commend all of our neighbors from New Orleans that came to Houston and started their lives over again. God bless you all!

  • Thanks for that. Katrina made all our lives hell in so many ways. Fuck republicans. If we'd had a Democrat in office, this wouldn't have happened. Id rather have a guy who got is dick sucked run our country than a man who fucks all of us in the ass.

  • l cant stop crying when i see this my heart is hurting love you all wish l had money to help you all. one day l ll get down thier be for l die l live in canda and yes am white and l cant stand BUSH FOR THIS.

  • Bush is a total screw up, at the APEC summit is Australia he called it OPEC, which stands for Organisation of Petroleum Export countries (somthing on his mind??) and sounded STUPID in all his speeches with long pauses and a confused and bewildered blubbering noise came from his mouth. After Katrina and Iraq i cant believe he still gets voted in? Its amazing. Hopefully your next election is rigged like the last!

  • amazing photos.....bring tears to your eyes. 6 days and no help....unbelievable! kanye said it best!

  • I was forced to go to the convention center at gunpoint by the NOPD. I agree that Kanye was right, but in the midst of the whole horrofic situation it didn't matter what the color of your skin was. We all worked together to try and survive. Let's just make sure it nothing like it ever happens again. We can't trust the government, it's just us.

  • wow, i can't begin to imagine what you all went through. i just feel that noone cared, or it wouldn't have taken so long to get help to everyone in need. i still cry when i hear the stories being told. my prayers go out to you all. god bless

  • "Go fuck yourself, Mr. Cheney...Go fuck yourself"

  • YES GOOD FOR YOU FU TO BUSH.

  • so sad,,,,,,

  • I live two blocks from the beach, and I can admit, it was just TOO INSANE to even know what was going on. I feel so bad for anyone who did not receive help. But a lot of it had to do with people choosing to live in dangerous areas and not taking any precautions. When you live here, in BILOXI MS, you need t always have a 50 gallon drum of gas as well as generatrs and lots of stock food.

  • I am a medical intern (now a surgical resident) who was stranded in Charity Hospital over the term of Katrina. I'll tell ya, the suffering of the patients was unbelivable.

  • Bush is the best president ever to lead this country.

  • I'm sorry Id have to disagree that fucker bush didn't do any thing to help those people. I was a part that fucking disaster I had to watch those people die in front of me. I even lost my family in that fucking hurricane. ehnab you need to shut the fuck up. I like to see what happens to Bush if a natural disaster hits his dumb ass unexpectedly. That asshole president of ours doesn't know how to run a country. Hes a fuck up!!

  • yes

  • brings tears to your eyes. incredible how that asshole in the Fox studio asking for "perspective" about the situation.

  • AMEN PEOPLE dont let the world forget what REALLY happened down here. If it werent for non-governmental relief agencies, there would have been NO RELIEF! OR MAYBE WAY TOO LITTLE WAY TOO LATE.But you cant really expect some rich ass, blind-to-the-facts ASSHOLE from Nebraska to know jack about the reality of what really happened down here!

  • Hard to believe it's been two years. Please view searchword wilbur jr-thanks.

  • It has been 2 years since Katrina, yet only 50% of the businesses have returned. There is no reliable mass transit and if you go 4 blocks from Bourbon Street there still are no street signs! When the news media told us that the people in the SuperDome had been evacuated, I witnessed a video report that showed thousands left behind...the oldest, sickest and poorest couldn't leave..yet they were labeled as looters! There is so much more to this story that is NOT being told on National news!

  • You should be ashamed of yourself in showing or creating this video this shit is all fucked up u dont have any idea how much people died and loved one still missing in the wake of hurricane katrina ur still wrong on what u created or shown. v_v

  • The truth isn't wrong. As a New Orleanian, I can only wish that more people would create videos like this because the whole country has forgotten or decided to neglect what's going on down here and if it keeps getting ignored, another hurricane will eventually come through and wipe out those that did manage to survive Katrina

  • Excellent demonstration of the neglect that has happened to the poor, the elderly and sick who were unable to get out before the flood!

  • much blame should be put on the mayor/governor of New Orleans for their suffering. they knew, pretty much, what might happen. Waveland, MS was pretty much wiped out, and they handled it well. all things considered. but it would have been much worse if the churches and volunteers from all over the U.S. would not have come. they saved the day. Military was there ASAP too!!

  • Yeah, they sent in the military but they refused to send in food and water. How is that excusable? Imagine sitting in the sun without having had water or food for days and you see a bunch of soldiers pointing their guns at you while they drink and eat. Tell me how that's excusable. I'd love to hear that cockamamie explanation!

  • Fuck Bush.

  • WAYOVERDUE2007 (3 weeks ago) Marked as spam

I wish people would stop believing in this HOAX. It did NOT happen. People trying to get something for nothing.

<<fuck you. you know nothing. i was there and had to watch the whole thing and i was only 12 when this happened. i watched elderly people die, murders, childern be born, children die, and my house becoming nothing but a cement slab. you know abosolutly nothing. i watched it all.

  • I agree with this child who lived through this horrific devastation. The news media has never told the "truth" about what was going on there and is still not telling the truth. For example, when the TV news reported that everyone had been evacuated from the SuperDome, there were thousands of people left behind. The people who couldn't get out were the sick, the elderly, and poor.

  • Thank you I was there as well......FUCK YOU!!

  • I laugh when I see that segment of Kanye West making an ass out of himself... I wanna ask him how many M.R.E.'s did he have to eat, how many days without a shower, without running water... that guy disgusts me!

I do thank the men and women of the USS IWO JIMA, NYPD/FDNY, Chicago and Boston PD, the 10 states that sent National Guard Troops, members of the 82nd Airborne and to my beloved 41st Brigade (Oregon)

  • M.R.E.'s? The majority of these people didn't even have ANY sort of food or water. Thank God for the people on the outside who dared to speak up when the government betrayed its citizens. And as a matter of fact, it was the Coast Guard that did the majority of the initial rescues. Nobody was on the scene before them and nobody performed more nobly.

  • too bad that idiot mayor of your's, nagin, didn't see fit to do anything to help you. i'll bet that he and his family didn't go hungry. oh, but you guys re-elected him. doesn't make sense to me.

  • DATS SUM FUCKED UP SHT DAWG

  • im from canada i never knew it was that bad

  • Oh god it was terrible. The children who were inside the superdome. some of them were raped, peole were murdered. My family were on their way and got stuck on the bridge literally for 2 days and then when one showed up at my door in Kentucky alive, all I could do was cry. Bush did a Press Conference and chose the cleanest looking place and said everything was fine. He lied.

  • ^.^

  • Thanks for a beautiful, moving tribute.

  • did another hurrican come a couple days later

  • im only 2mins, n 12 secs of you song & i can tell you that I love how you use your words.Only some1 wtih depth can see that. The sad part is that there are going to be more devistation to write about.we live in a shitstem not a system, as you've shown use...as spard

  • I wish people would stop believing in this HOAX. It did NOT happen. People trying to get something for nothing.

  • WTF is wrong with you

  • this pisses my right the fuck off when i here who the gov lock people in the supper dome with out help!and we should blame bush!

  • you guys shouild not say mother nature is doing bad we are polluting every day and that is bad becuse of use this is happening dont blam the world blam ur slef

  • hell yea blame bush our city is so corrupt but i love new orleans

  • ummmm...wow ...dat was ....???

  • love the video, wish someone would do one like this for us, the surviors of Hurricane Rita, or the forgotten hurricane as they call it

  • I was outside when that happen I had to run in side fast I saw it coming I almost flew in air a poll felled down and tree and almost killed me

  • i talk about rita in lake charles LA my mom died

  • this is what happens when you build a city under sea level....right beside the ocean

  • gphjr14, with a thirty-something foot surge, maybe we should abandon the whole Atlantic seaboard! The Dutch should move to Germany. Your'e a genius that lives where?

  • in the mountains of north carolina. theres a difference between live near the cost and living near the coast with everything below sea level. not to mention mostly lower class people were living that close to the levies.

  • gphir14, fist thing I'll say to you is mudslide/tornado. You should move. Secondly, New York City is at sea-level or slightly above, along with Miami, Baltimore, etc.. New Orleans is only partly below sealevel and many parts are at or above. Nearly all of the Netherlands are below sealevel. When you have a thirty-eight foot surge of water physical relief ceases to be an issue. That is the point so many people miss. Mississippi is above sea level. It was flattened.

  • Also, There was more than one levee. If you are talking about the "lower class" people that lived near the ninth-ward, then let me tell you something. They were mostly second and third-generation homeowners who paid taxes. It it a mitigating factor that they were not very wealthy? I guess the same would hold true for mountian people up there if they died from a mudslide. Tar paper shack falls down a hill. No big deal? I believe it is, because all humans deserve compassion.

  • One other thing, not all the people were as I thing you would qualify as "low-class". The 17th street canal burst also, because of poor design. The water annhilated a rich "high class" area with same indifferent zeal that befell the ninth-ward. Bottom line is New Orleans is ancient, it is beautiful, and it is home. If The Dutch can protect Amsterdam, then by God my tax dollars should protect me.

  • i hate it how New Orleans was destroyed but think ppl should never go back there bc its just going to happen again....

  • So accurate and moving. The people suffered so much after the storm. That should not have happened. Our Country needed to be there for the people.

  • thank you so much for making this video! im from new orleans and you portrayed it so powerfully and didnt candy it up! thank you!

  • This is by far the best Katrina video I've seen. Great work.

  • LOL, "go fuck yourself Mr. Cheney!" Loved to hear that!!

  • PSMeagher, this is an excellent slide show & esp the clips with Geraldo in them. I notice this video doesn't seem to attract the white racist comments & bigotry that BlackLantern's video does. Maybe cause the music is really different, I don't know. Thanks for the TruthTelling, we can't afford to get jaded over the sufferings of others, esp in times of natural disaster.

  • ok this was a great video but to redbishop93 you have no idea what your talking about its not just NO that got it all around there got hit and yes thousands died no just in NO but in mississippi as well and all the cities near the gulf coast why dont you know what your talking about before you speak negative and lots of people sufferd all around america i was a victim i lived by NO in chalmette which got i worse than NO so dont you dare come off like you did get your fact straight asshole

  • very powerful. well, if no one else admits to knowing this could happen, we have to admire Mr. Bill. he knew.

  • thousands didn't die, approx. 1300 died. Millions didn't suffer as the New Orleans Metropolitan area only had only 1.3 million in it. Someone has a political ax to grind. New Orleaneans, of which I am one, have only themselves to blame.

  • To redbishop93 - Thanks for watching and commenting on the vid. I hope you'll accept the spirit of the montage, and not the letter of the law on the figures. As for those who suffered, I certainly wasn't limiting that to New Orleans. I live in Seattle and have spent some time suffering watching what happened. It doesn't compare to the suffering of direct victims, but suffering none-the-less. This hurt our entire country-- it sucked.

  • whatever it was HORRIBLE & NO ONE should have suffered this is the USA!! I understand disaster but w/ someone like George "Heartless" Bush in charge...why the HELL weren't the troops sent SOONER!?!

  • thats sad :(

  • For too many americans Hurricane Katrina was a terrible disaster that happened 20 mounths ago. For us here in New Orleans it's today it's everyday! We are living it. Everyday is a challenge to function and stay sane. We are rebuilding and suffering the pain of tired eching bodys and minds, but we are REBUILDING!!! Come on down and party at the Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest or what ever and learn why we love it here so much.

  • i was there on keesler base in biloxi during the hurrican i lived in ocean springs it wuz really a mess

  • Mr Bill! haha Best.

  • Chrome6stringer.... BOOO HOOO HOOO. You arent alone (from n.o.). Dont criticize your president unless you have your facts straight. Our politicians in Louisiana are stealing whatever they can that private sources have donated. George Bush is an honorable man and he has helped most of us as well as the Federal goverment can.

  • This is America. That means you don't get to decide when we can exercise our First Amendment rights. Evidently, you have never witnessed the government actually performing up to its potential. George Bush hasn't helped me one bit. Ne'er a dime in my pocket came from George "Dumbya" Bush. However, because it's America, you're welcome to keep on being his bootlicker no matter how idiotic it makes you look.

  • bintalshamsa: i think that you are the one that looks idiotic. if you live in louisiana, then surely you know how corrupt your local and state govt is. bush can write you a check today and you

'll never see a penny of it, cause one of your politicians will line his pocket with it.

  • IF you all think the government neglected its citizens then i suggest you move to another country.

  • i am guessing by your apathetic tone that you haven't considered coming down to see for yourself. i am a hard working, proud american from a military family that makes no less contribution to american society than does any other average american. i say that new orleans and the gulf coast have not only been neglected, but figuratively raped for nearly two years WE don't want to leave,WE want results.

  • The thing is, we live in America and we have soldiers dying everyday for others when we can't even help are own kind. Its people like you and Bush that make this America look so bad.

  • Why don't you move to another country, since you seem to be the only one who supports him?

  • George Bush doesn't care about New Orleans or the Gulf Coast Region. He's from Texas, and in Texas it's every man for himself. Give us the money that he is pumping into Iraq....Let us rebuild our City and our Gulf Coast. ----from someone still Homeless 18 mos. later.

  • "go fuck yourself,mr. cheney. go fuck yourself."

    disaster.

  • Aside from the Bill character PSA, the remaining of the montage was great! It really captured a lot about this horrible event. I don't think I ever remember a time seeing reporters and people like the mayor of New Orleans be so honest with their emotions while reporting a story/event. The mayor was Very expressive - and so were many of the reporters that I noticed around that time...

  • What's up with the PSA w/ the Bill character? Was that a real PSA before the hurricane? It wasn't very funny whoever did it.

  • Thanks for your comments. As far as I know, the PSA was real and ran in the New Orleans area a few years prior to Hurricane Katrina. As I searched for images to use in the montage, I thought the PSA captured the sentiment of apathy or taking this pending disaster lightly that led to much of the suffering. Including it here was certainly not an attempt to poke fun, but to contrast the mindsets people had before and after this tragedy.

  • thanks for clearing that up a bit - understood

  • This is a powerful, powerful video. I am a square who does not like, "this kind" of music, but this SONG was so powerful. Thank you for creating this.

  • Can someone tell me the song and the artist who sings it in this video?

  • Thanks for your comment on this video. This song is called "Transatlanticism" by the band "Death Cab for Cutie."

  • I was New Orleans the day after the Hurricane w/ the USCG Aux. as a vol. and stayed until Huuricane Rita came and we fled to Beaumont,TX. where we and 25 other guys rode out that Huuricane. Then spent the next 5 mounths there helping people from both hurricanes. I have a wife and 4 four kids that a left in FL. for those 6 mths. I will not hold my head in shame when my grand kids ask me what I did to help I will cry and tell them all the good I and 800 USCG Aux. Volunteers did to help

  • You are a REAL hero - unlike our so-called government officials - it is those that are on the "front lines" that are the real heroes - people like you (and me).

  • You know what the number one Item purchased with FEMA cards was? Guns...

  • I feel sorry for the poor people in this country period. There were a lot of poor white and black people both who got done wrong by a slow response. The problem is partially racism which very much sadly exists today but the bigger problem is being poor in this country. People dont seem to care about the poor people of this great nation. Well i would rather have love for my fellow man than all of Bill Gates money.a tear falls

  • You got that shit right. I went through Ivan and we are still with blue tarp roofs " some " of us. Also , our neighbors during Hurricane Katrina suffered bad as well. The government thinks they've done enough just by advertising we all need help. SAD!

  • So rjksoccer06 , you're saying only black people recognize that this is the most racist country in the world? That's pretty sad. I wouldn't showcase my ignorance if I were you, unless of course you're proud of it...

  • speak for yourself. filled92 is probably black. and even if he isn't, you can assume that he was born in 1992. because of the 92' after his name so he's just a younger teenager. who clearly is uneducated on the subject and just decided to vent on a katrina video.

  • WOW!! So sad

  • let me guess filled92....you're black

  • America is the most racist country out there!! Nobody can deny that!! the only reason they didn't respond was cause majority of the victims were african-american!

  • 1 thing you may not be aware of,when HK took place, Louis. was taken care of, but well over half of them came to Tx and freeloaded. The money given to them, they bought designer purses and sat on their *** for months doing nothing but collecting, maybe Bush didn't respond like a president should - and yes, Bush probably would have responded if disaster hit a rich community & predominantly white but a lot of America did do something, they actually did a lot but were taken advantage of.

  • To littlemsstaci, Thank you for watching my video. I fear you are using "them" and "they" in a very dangerous way. I'm sure there were refugees who took advantage of the situation, but I'm more sure there were thousands who didn't. You make a very irresponsible statement.

  • u have such a kind heart! thank you for showing the rest of us what is improtant!

  • america isn't racist. george bush is racist. you obviously don't take in to account the thousands. possibly millions of people who are not african american who gave money. and things to help out the victims of hurricane katrina. Think before you speak.

  • sorry i seem to have mis-used a certain word!

i meant to say that in simple terms that the response given was very poor! but america did help alot!

And no i am not black..i'm a singaporean! and w3stbr0ok..i'm not born in 92' i just like that no.

  • sry i just assumed.

  • lets not ever forget

  • Dedicated to the millions who just don't matter, whether they are suffering in New Orleans or in Iraq.

  • omg, that's irony for you. I just love the work you put into this. you truly are a talent. this is sooooo very sad that people knew about all of this, and nobody cared enough to put some sort of plan into action ahead of time. :(

  • All i can say that New Zealand acted the day after the disaster and it took over a week for the US government to take action,

Our hearts go out to you all

  • ENCORE!...great video..

  • you ruined it with that stupid song

  • I lived it, I am still living, it and I have to say thank you. To hear your wife cry in the bathroom of a FEMA trailer and not have an answer, to hear your 6 year old's question, "When will it be over?" and not have an answer, this video will make others feel as we do every second of our life. Our goverment has forgotten us and our insurance has screwed us. Thank you for remembering we are here and not forgetting we are still fighting for a new chance.

  • God Bless you and your family.

    Matthew 5:

1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

  • i am so sorry for u and your family! our government has forgotten lots of things since bush came to office. i hope life is better for u now,and god bless u all!

  • WoW!

  • its so fuckin sad. the thing was with some of those pictures you can see black and white people helping eachother out of the water. its just sad it takes something like this to bring us together. just like with 9/11 everyone was always saying "together we stand, devided we fall" but not too long after everyone went back to their old ways and forgot who we really are when things get rough

  • That was true then but now it seems this has become a strictly black tragedy in the eyes of the media and local

citizens. Many were affected, many white, asian, and spanish Amercians lost everything but very little is heard of their plight. The blacks of New Orleans are now saying the white people blew up the levees on purpose to flood them out of the city. In these times this has got to stop. Thank you for an unbiased look at Katrina.

  • Not only did this video say it all, but so did you. I'm white and live in Ga, but my family is from Slidell La and 3 of them lost everything they owned.

  • I have no words to express how I feel, your video was very moving Thank you.

  • this video says it all!!! I hope nothing happens this year!!! I pray to God!!! these people are still in need and our Dam goverment is sticking all the money in Iraq!! we've got problems here in our homeland!!

  • I love the Postal Service. That song coupled with the footage made me cry man.

  • It's a shame all they had was mostly Fox news footage. But at least they made Sean Hannity look like the government ass muncher that he is.

  • Uh, can you explain what that means? Just curious...

  • that means, LOOK AT FOX NEWS AND THEIR REPORTERS and u'll see the definition of"government ass muncher ".

  • I think Shepard Smith and Geraldo did a pretty good job. Both seemed genuine in their comments.

  • exactly!

  • I love some Shepard!

  • This video makes me hate George Bush even more than possible. Just when I feel that I can't hate him anymore, I see a video of people in need and suffering while he's living a lush life in Texas and in Washington.

What Kayne West said was the truth and some just can't handle the truth. And the irony of this is that we're nearing the One Year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina too.

  • This is one of the best ones that I have seen. You showed the true emotions of those days. Yes the song was awesome. Perfect.

  • This video transcends the catastrophy of Katrina. This video speaks so much. Thank you. Poignant, gut-wrenching, shame inducing. The music is perfect!
