I admire everybody involved with this engine, building any engine today is difficult to say the least, but a mainline engine...wow.. I work on the 4449 in Portland Oregon USA but, Tornado...I Might have to see that thing one day!
She does look well... fantastic job to all the people who built the Tornado.... I was at the autum gala at GCR at the end of 2008 and she just drew the crowds in! The GCR itself is a good line to run engines on.

You have "Great" railway. It was obviously a really good place for Tornado to do its running in.
It's a story that goes well beyond the steam preservation movement - people doing the impossible when they are passionate enough about it. There must have been plenty of ups and downs.
It's something that has caught the imagination of a lot of people and not just in the UK.
What a brilliant machine. More than a machine really!

60mph for testing work under certain circumstances. 25mph for heritage traffic.
