@iainendo i have C180 K as well without this multimedia system, if u want to convert yours u have to go to the dealer and ask for it, but u will have to pay alot. i think more than $ 2000 :S

@lilangel69xoxo I would recommend staying away from anything that comes out of Germany. I've owned VW, BMW and Mercedes. All three have been major disappointments. Repair after repair. Time and more time spent taking them in. Waiting. Dealing with loaner car paper work. Dealing with calls back and forth. Being without your own car for a week or more at a time. All so you can spend another $1500 on repairs just to go back again in 3-6 months for more. 4 Autobahn, maybe. In USA, no way.
Thanks for the video. I bought my new C Class in August of 09. After 8 thousand miles I'm still learning how to use the COMAND system. Mercedes has the best operating mechanisims of any luxury car. Like the buttons on the steering wheel.

After 4 years of enjoyment my Lincoln is making me regret the day I was born. I spent 6000$ in 3months, and still the car is giving me a hard time,with noise and brake downs. When I want to sell it the market price was 70% of the value I guess because people know what American cars are worth after 4 years.
Im thinking about German cars now, I think they are way more superior. What do you think?
who cares... once companies like microsoft and denso start marketing their infotainment system to mercedes, comand system will be garbage. Thats why I think its crazy to buy a car now without infotainment systems.
good choice 10020113001! Audis r good cars & offer great options 4 the price.. BMW has great "service" plans. a Mercedes is a Mercedes.. As stupid as that sounds 2 some, it hits home 4 me & I can sleep @ night knowing I have the car that I really want. I looked @ MB, Volvo, Audi, BMW @ Infiniti.. If I bought any other car, I may have made a good deal or not, but I know that I would always look at the MB driving by me.. lol
I bought mine in Nov, picked it up from the factory near Stuttgart, GE (U.S. specs, I'm U.S. military stationed in Germany, $38K tax free, fully loaded 4matic) & I haven't even had to check the oil yet.. great car... my biggest problem is finding 2 big of a line @ the car wash... I gotta keep it clean!
idk i asked my benz dealer and they told me the same thing. i just got my new fully loaded c350 and yeah it is true it does reduce the attention of theft.
this car has every thing u need.. jus got the 2009 c300 4matic..........sooo ill.. and it does have turn by turn directions.. everything voice comand.....couldnt ask for more as a first car :D

the new C class is definately an upgrade in terms of looks over the older model for example 2006 looking model. I'm not a C class fan. People who buy/lease/finance a C class show they don't have a lot of money but they do have a little and they want to drive a mercedes to feel like a real rich man so they buy what they can afford because they want to show off that they do have something.
While S class says, you've made it, you have money, and you have experience in the business world.
i didn't say E class i said S class. Two different cars. No not all Mercedes say "you made it". Only the expensive ones. For example the CL, S, AMG versions of the Benz's. Even E class and a little of ML. Not really a C class. I hae the C300 with Multimedia option. I live in a community of 30,000 people and tried to use the Navi system. No turn-by-turn guidance available in this area. The service department can't help...they're working on it. Sound system is great, but Navi may not work in your area. If it's important to you, try it out first. (I don't live in a new neighborhood - been here for 30 years!)
you cannot get this car for 30 it starts at 32 and after AMG rims,Navigation package,PII it reaches 40,000 mark.I bought it for 41000 inclusive of all taxes but mine is manual!!!
Look at the interior of the g37 you get so much for your money a backup camera and 330 hp! The inside of the g37 looks way nicer and when you go to sell your g37 you won't get ripped off unlike the mb c300
A C300 Sport with Multimedia package, depending on how optioned-out it is, would go for ~$35K to low $40K, averaging around 38-41K (USD...I dunno how much it would be in Canada, though I suspect it would be a tad more, what with exchange rates and taxes and all). Jeez, some of you guys are really money-obsessed. Just admire the car for what it is...a great car and a great value. I'm torn between this and a 328i coupe for my next ride. =)

I own the car and yes it's great - I'm an audiophile who can't settle for bad sound quality, so the Harmon/Kardon Logic 7 system is great especially in a small car like the C Class, which makes it even better. Hope that helps :)

Will it play DVD's? Or least can it be made to play DVD's by unplugging or rewiring? Are you driving the 6sp or auto? I'm considering this car, just waiting til SEMA in Nov. to see if there's going to be a Legacy STI.
OK. I think that can be made to play while driving if you can find the ground to the dvd and/or display. This is how all aftermarket players work, as well as my pioneer's I have in two vehicles.

Unfortunately, navigation does not come standard...you have to make sure you get the "Multimedia Option" in order to get the Navigation, or even the pop-up screen.
Actually I have had a very pleasant experience so far with the Multimedia console...no glitches or bugs found yet, and I've been using it quite extensively ;)
I have a Black/Black being shipped from the Dock, however, they offered me a C350 in Palladium Silver today. Do you suggest that over the Black exterior? Is Palladium silver the new color?
Good choice. I think they will be selling at of Palladium Silver since they made all the demo cars in that color. I have Pewter and a for a few years that was the must have color. I think Palladium Silver and Steel Grey are the new must haves for Mercedes.

i have the sports version, and i love it. i dont know what the luxury interior is like though.

I just won this car in a contest, and am picking it up with in a couple of hours. I can't wait. It's going to cost $2,000. What a deal, I'm probably going to sell it and get something more reliable as far as the parts go. The parts on Benz's don't last long at all.

haha you gotta pay to pick it up. sounds like a scam. have you watch the movie by nicolas cage were he scams ppl. He pretty much call ppl and tell them they won in a contest and then tells them they have to pay certain amount. then they disappear. lolz

Will it play DVD's? Or least can it be made to play DVD's by unplugging or rewiring? Are you driving the 6sp or auto? I'm considering this car, just waiting til SEMA in Nov. to see if there's going to be a Legacy STI.

Actually no rewiring is required...it plays DVDs as it is :)
The catch is that it fades out the video when the car is moving, and when the car is stopped, the video starts playing again.
I have the 7 speed steptronic automatic transmission.

OK. I think that can be made to play while driving if you can find the ground to the dvd and/or display. This is how all aftermarket players work, as well as my pioneer's I have in two vehicles.

if u get the new c-class make sure u get the multimedia option it's the way to go.. I sell them and i love the c-350...

Unfortunately, navigation does not come standard...you have to make sure you get the "Multimedia Option" in order to get the Navigation, or even the pop-up screen.

Have you had any problems with the multimedia/console or electronics as I have heard electric glitches are common with Benz....

Actually I have had a very pleasant experience so far with the Multimedia console...no glitches or bugs found yet, and I've been using it quite extensively ;)

I've had my moments where i just sat in the car and played with all the gadgets :D
I've test driven BMWs, and I like the ride on this MUCH BETTER :)

I have a Black/Black being shipped from the Dock, however, they offered me a C350 in Palladium Silver today. Do you suggest that over the Black exterior? Is Palladium silver the new color?

Good choice. I think they will be selling at of Palladium Silver since they made all the demo cars in that color. I have Pewter and a for a few years that was the must have color. I think Palladium Silver and Steel Grey are the new must haves for Mercedes.
