How ironic, specially when South Carolina have been on bailout for years. By that, I mean that they receive money from federal money than they contribute. To be specific, for each dollar they contribute for the federal budget, they receive $ 1.29. They are the ones on welfare being supported by blue states. In fact, most red states receive more money than they contribute. How is that for conservatism?

No kidding, almost all red states are like that, they've been getting a free ride off the rest of the country's productivity for decades. They have massive deficits thanks to their positions on refusing to raise taxes and the only way they can stay afloat is by getting free money from the rest of the country.

The "South" has been economically depressed for over a 150 yrs. The recent bailout money for the "Automotive Midwest" was and is an assault on the "South". There has never been an American Built Car. Only "Yankee built cars. The bailout for NY Jewish banks was another assault on the "South". Money flowing from Gov. Treasure, Midwest and northeast is an assault on the South. Because they pay taxes too.

The blue states are funded by the biggest investers and the biggest businesses in the U.S. in order to keep the economy of those states strong. Its their firewall. While the red states are economically oppressed. No autos, trucks. busses,trains, railroad cars, railroad tracks, and very little parts for this steel ind is built in the red ststes. Japan and Germany had a better chance of recovering from wwII than the "South" from the Civil War and they have.

The reason they (Japan and Germany)have recovered is, because they are sovereign. Free to make their own choices , decisions and investments. The are not economically oppressed by the Nothern States of U.S.
