Die Toten Hosen (that'd be the band we're discussing here) made Hier Kommt Alex, based on A Clockwork Orange's main character. It is in german.

Then they made Return of Alex, which is a cover, if you will, of Hier Kommt Alex but with english lyrics. Now, unless you're a complete retard you'll notice that the lyrics are in english. Hence, this is Return of Alex, not Hier Kommt Alex (which is in german).

In my opinion (I'm german) English sounds quite neutral. That's why for me it is very difficult to understand and feel emotions in english properly. As I often heared German sounds aggressive which belongs to this song pretty much. Also the words in english are to short and you don't need as many as in German so that's why this song is strange in my ears in english. But that's only my point of view.
