I live northeast of Dallas nearly on the Red River between Sherman & Paris; I want to grow some tall bamboo for privacy and shade. What's a fast growing bamboo that gets tall that would grow in my area?
I also need to know what the degree of containment measures would be i.e. if it would need a 3' deep concrete wall I'd probably rule that out. Might be that bamboo is not the species I need to plant but maybe Paulownia etc. I like the look of bamboo much better though so looking into it first.
