  • @bureaucrash this video is so dumb. Cops are around for a reason. Making a video about a cop parking in a no parking spot is pointless. You have probly never seen a cop do something seriously bad in your life.

  • I support LEO but a Law is a Law.

But...No matter who breaks the Law they have committed a Crime.

    And @fake1009:

Give me any evidence that the Cops are on the scene of a Crime in time to save anyone.

Normally they arrive after the Crime has been committed.

This is a statistical reality...not an indictment of LEO.

By Law the only mandate the Police have is to enforce the existing Laws, Ordinances and Statutes within their jurisdiction.

They have no mandate what-so-ever to protect you.

  • what a waste of video....get a life

  • @mitch8185845 wrote, "Is he the same as you or me?"

YES, under the law he is EXACTLY THE SAME as you or me.

It is nothing more than the misplaced sense of entitlement by LEOs, aided and abetted by those who shove their tongues as far up LEO ass as possible (like you), that creates the myth the LEOs are anything more than just another citizen.

If he can't deal then he should go get a fucking job doing something else - plain and quite simple.

12 Arlington County Popos voted your comment up.

  • Wow, Epic Fail Cameraman. I hope he responds to your scene when you need help.

  • So, what are you trying to show here?

  • Most counties and states have a separate umbrella statute or code that says law enforcement is exempt from parking, seatbelt, and general traffic rules. I'm sure that's what he meant by telling you to read the county code - as in the entire thing, not just one ordinance...

  • How can you judge an officer for being in a no parking zone w/ overhead lights on. The law allows officers to break traffic and parking laws in certain instances. I nor anybody who watches this video knows the reason why this officer was there. You have NO idea how long he was there. The video doesn't show the officer getting out his vehicle or what he was doing there. For all we know, there could have been a civil disturbance and he bought a snack afterwords. Your video has no validity.

  • Generally I'm fairly pro-law enforcement... But that's pretty bad. A few bad apples ruin it for the rest, unfortunately.

  • There is one other thing I would like to ask, how come you have time to nit-pick the police, but you don't have time to tape kids being abused by their parents, or perhaps someone murdering someone else?

Oh, I get it, you just want to catch police parking illegally, but you haven't got the balls to do their job. Nuff said.

  • Say guy, if you are so righteous to go out and find things the police are doing, perhaps you should go to work for the police department or become a meter maid. We need good folks like you helping to keep people from breaking the law.

Of course I understand if you would rather tape, than actually work in that capacity.

    Best of everything for you.

  • however that regulation doesn't state that any is all. meaning that county vehicles are the exception to the rule. in law any= any BUT government all=everyone

  • I would love it if the worst thing police ever do is park in a no parking.

  • @beefyoso agreed

  • Well he did have is emergency lights going, so it must had been important. ;)

  • people who video tape the police dont have lives!!!!

  • Another asshole with a camera.

  • And you're the first person to call the police if something was stolen from you or you needed help. I bet if I followed you and harassed you while at work Id find you doing something wrong, oh right you don't have a job because your to busy making stupid childish videos on youtube. Put this effort into being something you might make a difference.

  • wow - the person who shot this is clearly a complete asshole - get a life man!

  • are you showing the vids to the commander?

  • OWENS SUCKS ASS!

  • I almost wish that when you need help and call 911 that you dont get it. shit bag. you can sit there and video tape that, yet when you need help he'd be there for you. Cops go through too much to put up with this shit.

  • @Traumaqueen85 They deserve our respect, defiantly, but they should not go above the law.

If a cop came in and stole your TV and said "go read the county code" you'd be fine with that?

  • @Traumaqueen85 That is about the most stupid thing I've seen anywhere. Makes me sorry I had to leave EMS many years ago. You don't know how I'd like to say how much I wouldn't treat cops--or forget the MS, or something. So, next time a cop stops a doctor or a nurse or an EMT, or a fireman, or a dentist, may he ought to wonder what they did to get there, what shit they put up with, and wonder if he'll get treated, rescued, or put out. It was probably also unlawful to have his overhead lights on.

  • Technically 1 mph is over the limit and illegal. Do you ever get a ticket for that?

  • Never mind, wrong Arlington. I guess I am the only one in my Arlington....

  • Sweet! I didn't know there was anyone in Arlington doing this kind of thing other than myself.

  • hey pete, it's jeff from lee highway!! i was thinking about this vid the other day and it hit me as to how stupid it really is for this officer to park his cruiser where he did, n ow we all saw the drink in his hand, he was there for a snack not there on call, either way its actually tactically very irresponsible to positon his cruiser the way he did, for starters its the nations leading robbery location(7-11) (not arlington!!) plus its a structure with a glass window on its entire front..

  • it has a parking lot to park in, one big enough that at its busiest times is still half empty..A) he parking on a busy street in the middle of both a traffic lane and bike lane, he used his overheads to excuse that, but the problem is B) its a convienance store with a huge window, for many years in police tactics officers have been advised to avoid pulling up to any location like that. call or not as a cop you dont know who is in that store. .i learned that on a ridealong as a freshman in H.S.

  • police tactics 101: as a cop, you A) just gave away your presence, cuz B) you parked infront of a huge window thats hard to see into but seeing out is like just like seeing normally, no window glare, although at night the inside is lit up..C) you have a lightbar with blue lights flashing and reflecting all over the place..what thbis officer did was very stupid for different reasons on different levels, and when he was confronted about it he made a stupid response for his actions..

  • its nice that Chief Scott looked into the traffic end of the problem as far as the officer not being allowed to do that but really that officer should go through further testing like many officers you and i encounter here in arlington as far as not only good officer policy training but actually tactics training..its like entering a room with your gun up infront of you giving you a tunnel vision effect and not being able to assess a room to clear it...

  • the cruiser has to pull up to this location no different from an actual call even though he's just grabbing a snack..it could cost him his life oneday, you pull up like that during a live 211 in progress, you wont see the robber but he'll be firing at you before you can exit your cruiser and can grab a radio..

  • Cops put their lives on the line for people like you and me. If you cant step up to what they do, consider another posting subject kiddo.

I wish i could witness the day YOU dial 911.

  • when i dail 911 it will be fore fire department or ambulance but not for police.

  • Hahaha. Thats what you say now but when you hear a twig snap in the backyard late at night, you wont be able to dial fast enough and you will want a 6 foot 6 cop there to save your sorry ass hahaha.

  • meby you like gay cops in your house at night but i dont.

  • "Hardest job in the world", "The press reports the negative things the cops do", "The officer is out on the street day and night..."

Oh, god, cry me a RIVER! If being held accountable for your actions is such a hardship, you have no business being a cop. Cops need to be _more_ law abiding than the rest of us because they are the ones responsible for enforcing it.

Holding police accountable for their actions is not disrespectful. It is police pissing on the law that is disrespectful.

  • what a douche...leave the cops alone they have the hardest job in the world get a life who cares if he parked in a illegal spot

  • @midwestboxer And by the way, when overhead lights are on, it can be a distraction for drivers--they aren't toys. And if the guy can't be trusted to even park correctly, I wonder if he should be trusted with much else.

  • GREAT JOB!!!!!!

  • Get a Life Loser

  • Gibson, no cop is above the law he is suppose to be enforcing. Let me tell you, Arl cops are a bunch of arrogant pricks, just like you...

    An Arl. resident.......

  • ha ha ha

    busted

  • He protects you while you sleep. He deals with scum bags every day so you don't have to. He gets shit on, pissed on, and spit on. Every day he risks getting shot, stabbed, punched, and stuck with needles. Is he the same as you or me? No, he isn't. If he wants to park in a "no parking" zone while he buys a bottle of water, let him. He's earned it as far as I am concerned.

  • @mitch8185845 Thing is, it's not your road to give that special permission. If you want to give the police special permissions on your property, go ahead. As far as everywhere else is concerned, it's outside the scope of your authority. The officer did not have the authority to park there, it is that simple. If you don't like it, perhaps you should tell your representatives. Till then, it's perfectly acceptable to hold police officers accountable when they break the law. No?

  • @mitch8185845 Some officers clearly have no remorse for breaking the law they have been sworn to uphold. Where do we look for guidance by example?

  • Comment removed

  • @mitch8185845

When the peope that is there job to uphold the LAW break the LAW then what?

  • Few months ago, Arlington, VA Police officer Tabibi stopped my car, asked me personal, racial, sexual questions. I asked him why he would ask me these questions if I was stopped for traffic violation. He became violent, yelled, threatened me. When I complaint to APD, the officer said that never happened while the police chef wrote me a letter explaining "I misunderstood because of my English". I got my education in Georgetown University 18 yrs ago.

  • Invest in a pen recorder, it looks like a pen, but records audio, it is a valuable tool also a mini cam (some come in the size of a deck of cards) everything helps, I used a mini cam to record "sleepy cop" video on my channel.

  • Oh yea... I am sure that he just started calling you names right off the bat. I am sure that you pulled over and were polite and kind. Hahahah, get real. You and I both know that you threw out the race card first. You were cussing at the cop and trying to provoke him. If you had a pen recorder, you would be fucked because it would show that YOU are the one who is not being truthful.

  • stupid! He was Middle Eastern. what race card? Read before respond! If I were cussing at the cop, he could take me to jail right? Trailer trash, bitch ass. The son of a crack whore.

  • Uhhhhhhh no. Cussing at the cop is not violating any law. Perhaps if you were not so busy being an internet pole smoking thumb dicked cockbag, you would know that. Go back to sleep shit stain.

  • hey walser..i remember you ..you washed out because you are an idiot..full disclosure pal

  • You should come to "S 8th Rd & S Frederick St (South Arlington)" at night. We always have 2 cops park at a no "parking zone"

  • Your a prick, dont bull shit the police your waisting your pathetic time. Who gives a shit if they park there if you need help guess who your going to call....THE POLICE so stop being fucking stupid and leave them alone

  • they are all the same they think they are above the law.

  • That 7-11 has a huge parking lot. Additionally there is a side street where he could have parked and been able to move his car out just as quickly. This is an abuse of power. The video was not about whether or not the 7-11 would get robbed at that moment.

  • The officer is out on the street day and night protecting the community from scum bags and fucked up people. He went into the store to get a water bottle. Cut him a fucking break.

It's not an abuse of power and as a law abiding citizen and one who respects the police i grant them the right to park in no parking zones for all the shit these officers deal with.

  • Are you familiar with the location. This 7-11 has an enormous parking lot that is never anywhere near full and there is a side street where he could have easily parked. I don't think his behaviour is a huge issue, but nonetheless it is wrong.

  • well smart ass if you were a cop you'd know that you never park in front of a store so if someones robbing the place they dont ambush you...go back to making youtube videos of your dog

  • Do you know the location? Guess not, because he is parked directly in front of the store. He is blocking a lane of a 45 mile per hour street that barely has a shoulder.

  • I am a former Arlington County police officer myself. I recall my sergeant once scolding me for driving the speed limit. "Next time I see you in that cruiser," he said," you better be driving it like it's a G*D* police car." I ignored him. I have always believed in the tenet of "if I enforce it, I obey it." I only wish more officers adopted that concept as well. I congratulate this video's author for having the strength of conviction to confront abuses of power, however minor.

  • As an ex cop I can honestly say that cops have a harder time doing there jobs now than ever. People hate cops because they are cops and thats nothing new. Nobody likes authority until that person needs an authority figure around to handle buisness and thats what cops are there for. You run a red light, you will get a ticket, DUI...lock up, beat your woman... lock up. Some cops are corrupt, but so are bankers, mechanics, CEOs etc. Bad apples every place. Grow up and dont blanket label people

  • Owens, what you should have done was find a legal parking space. Then wait until the same person who made this video instead posts a complaint that the cops are taking up the parking spaces leaving none for the citizens thus leaving them to get parking tickets.....NEVER ENDING CIRCLE!!

  • This same cop Owens ticketed me for making a right turn on red without coming to a complete stop... back in 05 by the Weenie Beenie.

  • I'm sure you would like him to take the time to look for a spot a few blocks away to park. I'm also SURE, that when you are getting your ass kicked you don't want him to have to run around the block to get to his car. That's why cops park out front. If you haven't noticed they often have to leave in a hurry. Guess what...they are also allowed to drive down the sidewalk. They're allowed to drive WAY over the speed limit with lights and sirens..are you allowed to do that. Want to? be a cop then!

  • I agree. law enforcement does not have to answer to the public. They are the authority. People always clame they do over the speed limit and brake the law. There is such thing for a cop the be responding to a call code 1 which means no lights no sirence. It could easily be an auto accident with injuries. Not all of them run lights and sirence to that. Or they could be going to a husband and wife arguing. They're not going to run people off the road for that.

  • If we the public do not police the police they will become more corrupt then they already are!

  • The public is majority of the reason why theyre so forcefull. Let me tell you somthing, you have no idea what a cop has to put up with and deal with day after day and until you're in a cops shoes shut up. I'm with the sheriff's office, I'm a deputy and I'm not currupt like you say cops are. But the people I deal with on a day to day basis will try anything to hurt a cop or worse to get out of one little fucking ticket. You need to go somewhere else with that shit becuase you have no clue.

  • Wow so you think you should have full control? The public can NOT trust you! Look at the videos and the news reports you do not deserve respect! I have a very good clue as I have been on both sides of the law. You are too busy writing people a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt instead of catching rapist and killers huh. Most police do not follow the LAW which you are supposed to uphold. When cops start doing the job correctly maybe ill change my mind!

  • The media reports a 100% of the negative things that the cops do. They report 0% of the positive things. Look how many times ur local PD responded to a call, in my small city thousands of times per month. I bet almost all of them were helpful to citizens.

Your the type of guy who would be the first whine when the cops aren't around to save you.

  • I dont know where u are from but in Vegas they give props to cops all the time. In FL they did the same. What I have a prob with is the Cops that act crazy which is a large percent of them. If i were to call the cops who knows I may get hauled to jail too or instead of the bad guy. Look at that black guy that was in the news. NEVER TRUST A COP!

  • @fake1009 Police officers are heralded as hero's 24/7 on TV, perhaps you should try tuning in while sober. Most of what you will see is people being punished for victimless crimes and police officers lying and abusing to get reason to cite or arrest. All the while TV shows depict the police officers as heros without question. Many police officers are good people, and many try to do good things. Does that entitle them to special privileges? Well, you can decide that for yourself, on your property

  • @ takeityard: they are allowed to "break the law" if it is while in active duty (ie chasing a suspect) but outside of that they are supposed to obey the law. When those who are supposed to enforce the law are above the law, then there is no law.

  • wtf?

  • It's funny how you leave out the part where he actually pays the cashier for his drink. Of course there's absolutely no way at all he could have been in there questioning someone.

  • ARLINGTON VIRGINIA POLICE CORRUPTED! More power to you for showing their faces!

  • great video, we need to hold the police and government accountable.....the government was set up by the people, for the people ,of the people!!!! we DO NOT live in a police state

  • Yet :(

  • Funny how everyone wants to bitch until the day comes they need someone to help em out... And you probably voted for Obama...

  • When Pete needs help he doesn't have to call the man. We got his back.

And no, he didn't vote for Obama.

  • Thanks mackler.

TinCupTim, this is about individual freedom coupled with responsibility. And I push back against anyone attempting to usurp our rights, no matter if they have (D) or (R) or anything else behind their name. You bash liberals but self-described conservatives in the Bush White House came out against the individual right to keep an operable handgun in the home in the Heller v. DC case. Maybe you should direct some of your anger to those folks as well...

  • @mackler wat does obama has to do with this asshole

  • @HeLlOWKiTtY121799 If holding police to the laws they swore to enforce makes a person an a-hole, then America needs more a-holes.

  • clueless Timmy.

  • I've seen cops in my city park illegally so they can go into Starbucks. Probably don't want to pay the parking meter.

  • the biggest factor in this vid is the two drinks in his hands, so he stopped on the street instead of pulling into a parking lot the holds over 20 cars. it wasn't police business, wasn't a call. thats the difference, the two drinks he was dying to have otherwise he wouldn't be able to perform his police duty right(which he still didn't do) he just couldn't slide his ctuiser into a parking space. i saw an ACPD cruiser run a light today ablock from this location at adams and lee.redlight that is.

  • way to go man it really erks me when the police abuse their authority. i myself have been victim to many instances of acpd abusing their power for no reason. keep up the good work

  • fuck cops

  • yes!!! get a life u boy

  • You have way too much time on your hands. Get a life.

  • So, you would prefer that the police take up a legal parking spot, thus taking one from citizens? And then, when he gets a call for service, his response is delayed because he has to walk further? Get a life loser. Who cares about some cop parking in a no parking zone? How about you get a girlfriend, then post some naked pictures of her, that would be better than some jackass getting his panties in a bunch over a cop parking his car. Did ACPD turn you down for a job?

  • DOn't listen to this faggot elojet. I saw him on some other vids about the ACPD. He works for them I'm sure. Thats why the ACPD is such a joke. They're only good at harrasing blacks and hispanics. EFF the ACPD. Those little biatches are diddling each other in the backseat all the time. Right elojet? Right you little faggot?

  • Nothing personal buddy, it's THE LAW.

  • HAIL HAIL to elojet.....

I wish I had the time to follow this fuck around with a video camera and tape the day that he needs help from the police but they don't help him because he is suck a liberal piece of shit.

  • Yeah, you can tell he's a liberal cuz he packs heat.

Obviously you don't know what you're talking about.

  • timmy is a fascist. It's okay I was too at one time, then the Wizard gave me a brain. I suggest you go see the wizard.

  • Keep up the good work man! i love it!

    stay safe-

  • Good work my friend.

Honest cops have nothing to fear and would welcome the scrutiny.

  • You sound like John Mccain ``My friend``

  • haha subach, nice to see I'm not the only person reading Weber. I have the pleasure of confronting a officer in court soon regarding misconduct. If you can't beat the system, join it then abuse it like a red headed step child.

  • HEY RETARD, GET A COPY OF THE EXCLUSIONS AND DEFs...FUNKIN TOOL

  • People would feel better about cops if cops didn't have so many stupid laws to enforce.

  • He knew he was guilty. That's why he was so quick to close his door and get the hell out of there.

  • I respect Peace Officers. When did they replace them all with PIGS who think they are better than We the People?

  • What? States following their own laws? Don't be absurd, if you have a monopoly on force you don't have follow any laws, even your own.

  • IT would have been a better video had "Too much time on my hands"by STYX been playing in the background.

  • get a life

  • whoo that was awsome im in arlington as well fuk da po lice they are gay keep it up

  • I'm almost shocked at the 6 thumbs down I got.

I don't agree that nit picking parking issues is the thing to be doing when we've got police abusing their rights to other things like, say, beating kids who skateboard, embezzling money and actually performing dangerous traffic violations like speeding or running red lights.

But then again, I'm pretty much a pedestrian all the time.

  • Nice job watching the watchmen!

  • In most areas, if you ask an officer for their badge number, they have to provide it.

Also, it would be helpful for identification purposes to have a date/timelog on the video, and zoom in on the vehicle number (or if the cars don't have that, the license plate)

  • Not as good as some of the other videos.

  • great video ! keep up the good work !!

  • Very Very Good Job!

  • WTF? Does it matter when anyone else does it under the same circumstances? Let me make it easier for you...what about someone that actually is thirsty as hot summer days that don't even have the luxury of air conditioning?!?

  • yes thank you. these guys are so conceited.

  • Awesome bureaucrash. Keep the vids coming matey

  • I believe that this is right on. Unless he was there for an emergency. He should not have parked there. AND going in to buy water is hardly an emergency.

  • Look, I'm all for policing the police but this is almost ridiculous.

  • Why let's keep them on their toes.

  • What, should it be the other way around?

Presuming the people guilty until proven innocent? That's the basis of the drug laws, pornography laws, the SEC, etc...

These people work for us, and they'd better damn well remember it.

  • I am shocked, shocked!
