so beautiful and talented. why did she have to be taken away so young. that's just heartbreaking. but she was a huge inspiration to the latin community and blacks loved her too. i think the misunderstanding people have sometimes is that she was mexican american, yes she was mexican but she wasn't from mexico so she didn't look and sound like a person would from mexico, not exactly. she had her own hip, beautiful and unique sound. if only she could've had longer time, she was starting to shine!!

Selena got gangsta at 14 seconds, she was that bomb like that. I know I can do a pose like that I'll reinjur my knee. And this is why Selena is better than the rest, and she was very sweet with her fans, one time fans came into her house, her husband thought they were cousins or something and she saw who they were and she hung out with them! How many celebs do you know would allow fans to hang out at their house? If it were me, we would be shopping for shoes! lol.

One DJ who knew her noted that he had a woman ask him once if he could get an autographed pic of Selena for her daughter who was in the hospital and couldn't attend a concert she was having. When the DJ later asked the mother about the picture she told him, "What picture?? Selena came down to the hospital in person!"

@T33V33 Which is why I didn't like the movie, they showed her as a family girl that was a good singer that had a dream, but they didn't show how she was with people, how open she was, I wish they would've shown more of how she was a person to others. It makes her seem one dimensional, which is why I love hearing stories about her w/her fans, makes her seem like an angel in a way.
