No. Actualy you can kinda tell from the beginning that Tidus is basically just a creation by the Fayth in order to save Spira from Sin. But Yuna falls in love with him, but Tidus can't stay with her. To get the complete thing you'd have to play both X & X-2. Just make sure you get the good ending. :-3

i like the game play more as your free to do more than in X

but its very girly as there's lots of sing and dance and the battle system is based on dress spheres which outfits give different abiliies
