Ahh. That is just fucking annoying when people askes why did copilot fly?? Because usually the pilots flyes the aircraft like captain flyes to somewhere and the copilot flyes it back. BUT if there is rough weather usually the captain flyes both flights.
If you want to see the person behind the voice, just type in: "Person behind the cockpit Central Aural Warning System (CAWS)" She introduces herself as the person behind. That´s real amazing because you know her voice, not her style. She is everything except a "bitch". ;-) Very nice person !
well i was just wondering because usually the captain will say i have control then get a you have control as a reply. unless it's a training mission or the captain feels like it is okay to let him handle most of the aproach
@nic777morrey Not just most of the approach; usually the deal on most airlines is that, while the captain is ultimately responsible for decisions, the pilots take turns flying and taking care of radio traffic. For example, if the co-pilot takes care of the 'flying' part for one leg, the captain takes care of the radio etc. Then for the return leg they change so that the captain does the 'flying' and the co-pilot takes care of the radios etc.
@nic777morrey otherwise the co pilot wouldn't gain any experience! would people like that? NO! Would people feel safe? NO! Would the co pilot/ first officer love his job? NO!
what was touchdown speed?

why was copilot controlling the aircraft?
nic777morrey 2 years ago
That is the usual mistake made by people, the captain and the co pilot both fly.. the captain is the end responsable...

So that he can gain some experience landing the plane.
Co-pilots also often perform the take off.

It looked quite late actually... (runway sloping upward?)
mithat87 4 years ago
SXM is the best tho, but it seemed that it was a pretty late landing if im not correct?
tompi88 4 years ago
just a little bit late, but the runway was long enough..So no rush.. Otherwise we would have made a positive landing ( put it on the tarmac )
brianvreugdenhil 4 years ago
