all intake systems are technically cold air intakes...... short ram, pop chargers, stock air intakes, cold air intakes... etc etc... because when you drive... you are still getting cool air and plus the engine's heat is being pushed away from the intake as you drive.. thus the name "Cold Air Intake" so it aint really a hot air.... but if you sit there and not drive.. i get your point... but other than that.. it is a cold air intake. ^-^
