That squealing noise is the belt for the Alternator and water pump. I know this is a 4 cylinder 2.5L on the plymouth acclaim which is the same as the Dodge spirit. The alternator bracket is misaligned is why it squeals.

its ecotec. its the motor that was crated for the ions as well as a 6 cylinder model for the sky (thats if i remeber correctly). and i havent gotten to race mine yet. for some reason no one wants to race me, and the ones that do have imports that will blow mine away, american muscle that will blow mine away, or a stock nissan that really doesnt stand a chance but the kids just joking. havent had a chance to take it to the track yet.
