Thank you for sharing this with us. I just realized though that very rarely do I get "full" from dinner, unless if it's a big holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas. I think there's quite a few of fascinating phrases & sayings in the French language that just makes you feel "left out" in your own English language. It's almost if like a language itself can change a lot of things about a person or how they view life itself.. it's really amazing.
I've heard some of these rules before, but where they don't work for me is when my "hunger signals" are really distorted or completely absent. This has happened to me a lot and so I always find it hard to know when I'm "75% full". I can be 200% full and not feel/realize it.
@weightlossfordudes: I'm the same way. So I just try to visualize the size of my stomach relating to the amount of food I'm eating. "If I eat this orange, how long is it going to keep my hunger away? (probably 15-20 minutes)" I tell myself. On the other hand if you eat a piece of meat the size of an orange it's obviously going to take a lot longer to digest, so you'll feel satisfied much longer. As long as I'm thinking about my food IN ANY WAY and not just mindlessly bingeing, I'm happy!
so true i used to eating even when i was beyond full baby steps from then to now i eat when im hungry and try to stop and think do i really want to feel full? :)

I agree with the rules but I know that I absolutely could never follow it, with binge eating issues
