  • They encourage people to seek encounters and angelic vivitations more than they preach THE WORD OF GOD!! There may have been things in Lakeland that was of God BUT everyone not renouncing the Ministry of this false prophet needs to repent. The problem was not "the fall of Bentley" but the adultery of God's people following after spectacular experiences instead of a TRUE REVIVAL!! Take a look at my playlists. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!

  • YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GROW UP! Satan is deceiving you. You seek out spiritual experiences and do these things even though God FORBIDS it!

How many of you charismatic Revivalists can support this from the bible?

  • well put

  • I'm surprised that this video is still out here. All it shows is a bunch of emotional loons who don't know scripture enough to discern the truth.

  • According to the August Charisma magazine on the Lakeland "revival"...

"We are faced today with the sad reality that our untempered zeal is a sign of immaturity. Our adolescent craving for the wild and crazy makes us do stupid things. It's way past time for us to grow up."

"Godly leaders are supposed to protect the sheep from heresy, not spoon feed deception to them. Only God knows how far this poison traveled from Lakeland to take root elsewhere."

  • aaa - that baptizm service shown in many segments here is truly disturbing. When I see the mockery made of a holy God, I'm amazed.

  • aaa - I agree - TB's doctrines certainly don't line up with scripture. The Bible is VERY clear about the weight of responsibility that teachers bear. It's something that shouldn't be taken lightly. We're told to rightly handle the word of truth. Making mistakes is one thing - intentionally leading people away from the central theme of the Gospel is another.

  • aaa - I would submit that we have enough light in scripture to deal with most experiences. In the few cases where it's not, we have to use the discernment of the Holy Spirit.

  • To all Bentleyites - plz watch v=QAgLVFx_yh8 - then read the discourse between me and dna123nna - THIS is why extra-Biblical revelation can NOT be tolerated if it doesn't agree PRECISELY with the Word of God! Can you not see how easily a false religion is created? Or will you simply agree with Mohammed because he supposedly had a revelation?

  • God bless, brother!

  • Got it, aaa... and agreed. Your experience has a lot of similarities to mine - I'm sure to a lot of Christians.

I think MOST of the move of God is in people individually - people working out their salvation with fear and trembling & the Spirit teaching us through the Word.

I go to a Calvary Chapel because they teach the Bible verse by verse, rather than topical, so you're really studying the word.

Romans is my favorite book - I like to follow the "therefores" !

  • aaa - I'm interested in your thinking on this... why don't you think it will be as popular? I'd like to hear what you think & go through it my mind, too...

  • Agreed, aawillis35 - these folks often talk about how they think there will be a great outpouring in the end times - I rather think there will be a great apostasy, as evidenced here.

  • aaawillis35 - I would agree with the author. I found it interesting that the editor of Charisma magazine expressed concerns about Bentley and was castigated for speaking up. I have the feeling if Jesus appeared in church & threw the money changers like Bentley, Hinn, etc, out of the church if the churches would rise up and crucify him again.

I'm with you in your concern for these young folks. I've debated one kid who's a Bentleyite - nothing will sway him from his loyalty. It's sad.

  • I'm with you, aaa - it concerns me greatly that there are so many who are supposed to be Christian leaders who are so easily swayed. The Faith Movement is full of this. It really makes me wonder how many of these folks are just waiting for their turn at the cash cow of TV/Internet evangelism so they can be like Copeland, Hinn, etc.

  • gregladon - you're just like those you castigate for worshipping statues - instead of statues, though, you worship Todd Bentley.

  • read further, aaawillis35 - Bentley has no admitted to an "emotional affair."

    It's not a real revival - it's a sham and the message is anti-Biblical.

  • "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and SELF CONTROL" (Galatians 5, 22-23)

What I'm saying here is FAR AWAY from the Scripture.

  • Jesus said you do not have to keep coming back to a particular place to get more of God.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

  • Looks like Todd is now sweeping Emma Angel under the rug also.

If any of you read his Emma tractate from 2004 ;the same Emma that Bob Jones knew / knows;you would be scratching your heads saying..."BUT Todd didn't you tell us..."

Turning truth into a lie and back again seems to be popular amidst the wolves, and noone cares as long as subjective, emotion laden signs and wonders occur, and Jesus' name is sandbagged in front of them.

Todd Bentley - Emma The Angel - "Lyin' to My Face"

  • No..this is heresy in action.

Astral Projection/OBE's,violent healing methods, dream visitations, commanding and talking with Angels without testing the spirits, false and failed prophecy, finger pointing at God and The Holy Spirit and commanding Him,trance induced states brought on by grossly repetitive secular music and vain repetitive prayer, losing the mental processes during out of control worship service, convulsing and writhing on the ground.

Go visit LocalPastor vids for both sides.

  • I think it would be a good idea to change the title so that people don't think at someone is actually drinking.

  • Can you find me a sermon with Todd teaching on Biblical revival and the complete ministry of the Holy Spirit - including:

Glorifying Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, convicting us of our sin, bringing us to confession and repentance, growing in knowledge of God's Word and holiness, bringing this generation to its knees before God and asking for forgiveness of our transgressions against Him,dying to ourselves, taking up our cross and following Jesus no matter the cost.

  • Ezekiel 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Research Todd's sayings, they are not in alignment to how the Bible says a man of God should be.

This drunken anointing is false and corrupt. It comes from the devil.

  • 1.Corinthians 2,2

  • It's all written down since thousands of years. What's happen here is not a blessing or an anointing, it is judgement of God.

    P l e a s e read:

    Jesaja 28,11-13 Jesaja 29, 4

    Jesaja 29,9+10 Jesaja 33,19

    2. Thessalonians 2,11

What can we do? The way out of this delusion

is the repentance to the 4 "solas" of the reformation: Christ only; faith only: grace only, scripture only >>>>>>2.Corinthians 2,2

  • people dont be deceived. im a believer, a born again christian and don't take but word for it but find out for yourselves. todd is a fake prophet.. there nothing in the bible about getting drunk in the holy spirit or an angel named emma, emma is a devil who keeps the dead evil spirits in Buddhism religion,. before you go to his revival please i beg of you all to pray and do some research as it says in the Bible that false prophets will arise.. PLEASE STAY ALERT. this is the end time,.

  • Ephesians 5:18

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

From what I understand, being drunk in the holy spirit is a reference to this verse and is another way of saying 'filled with the holy spirit'.

  • Does this drunkeness inspire someone to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus, or does it moreso inspire someone to keep coming back for more drunkeness?

  • excellwth44, Let's hope Both !!!

    you should try-it !!!
