  • I look at lots of your videos and to me you have turned railway videoing into an art, congratulations and thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks ever so much for your kind comments. I hope you continue to enjoy the videos

  • films are so much more nostalgic witth steam locomotives. It's lovely to see thoose scenes from the railway children more recently as well.

  • Yes indeed, wouldn't mind Jenny Agutter being in one of my videos either!

  • That's lovely!

    Thank you!

  • N2 looks good pulling the vintage train

  • Quite agree, I think that was one of the gala highpoints

  • I prefer steam over diesal any day, just wish I could ride a steam train...or at least control one... *Click*

  • Thats good to hear, steam still provides that little extra something

  • We sincerly hope so Austin. You know, I was on the footplate of the 'Duke' all day at Buckley Wells the day it was steamed for its boiler test and in spite of it being in full steam it was absolutely freezing on the footplate. Just shows how efficient the boiler cladding is. LoL Having said that, the wind was coming from the side and to the rear of the loco, A biting notherly.

    Hu

  • Oooh all that lovely steam!

    Superb filming as always Austin.

    Hugh.

  • Many thanks Hugh, after all the bickering, it looks as though we may see 71000 in action at the weekend.

  • what camera do you use? my camera dosn't have this quality. Its also nice to see N2 1744 on the KWVR

  • The camera is a Canon HV30. It was really good to see the N2, the livery makes a change from all the black too.

  • Brilliant video you have here well done 5**

  • Thanks very much.

  • Fantastic footage 5* video.

  • Many thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

  • Nearly as good as standing next to the photographer!

  • Thanks very much, if only you could capture the smell of steam too!!

  • Magnificent shots Austin. The passage in the tunnel is a big success. Bravo. 5*. Philippe

  • Thank you Philippe, that is also my favourite scene

  • Excellent video again Austin. The KWVR always seem to put on a good show for their galas.

    Jeff

  • Thanks Jeff, I think the KWVR is very professional and they went out of their way to give the enthusiasts what they wanted for this Gala. A great railway.

  • Thanks Steve, yes I like that shot but wish I hadn't panned now, easy to be wise after the event!!

  • Terrific video Austin,,and not too far from where i live,i will have to get off my butt and do some myself.hoping to go to Pickering next weekend, weather permiting of course,at the moment we are having some lousy weather,so i am grounded...................John

  • Thanks John, always well worth a visit to the KWVR, weather not too bad up there Friday.

  • Faultless throughout Austin, top quality work that is always a sheer joy to watch....the weather seemed ideal to get some stunning images...5* Bob

  • Thanks Bob, the weather was pretty good, would have liked a few more shots in full sun but it wasn't to be.

  • Great pictures Austin. I, personally, especially enjoyed seeing the locos just simmering in the yard/shed. Just so reminiscent of times gone by. Chris

  • Many thanks Chris, yes I agree with you about the sheds, always quite atmospheric.

  • Great selection of clips Austin, great to see you again. Can't believe I didn't recognise you though, sorry lol.

    Si

  • Thanks Si, yeah don't forget we were well wrapped up yesterday, the last time was shirt sleeve weather at Shap!!

  • Excellent footage Austin with good mix of locations. Discovered last night that most of my vid from Friday has no sound !!!! No doubt may see you at ELR next week (if I get my pass signed again) Mike

  • Thanks Mike, I hope the sound problem wasn't due to one of those senior moments!! Looks like Irwell Vale/Summerseat sort of locations for next week.

  • Can't blame senior moments this time Austin -- a faulty mic connection. Must learn how to dub audio.

    Mike

  • Brilliant vid Austin,5*/Fav i note you captured me in the second coach at the window!

  • Thanks Mark, yes indeed, now don't you be asking for any royalty payments!!

  • @acw71000

    Haha,you neither Austin,stealing the limelight!! ;)

  • Superb collection of Loco scenes, many thanks. Alan

  • Thanks Alan, just wish I could have made it for another day, but very enjoyable thanks to the KWVR.

  • great video is the signal box is closed at 0.38

  • Thank you, I don't think I have ever seen the box in use since the line reopened.

  • i have got a old tape video showing that the loop and the signal box open i think is is the year of 1983 i think and do you know that the loop is still in action or not

  • It is certainly used up to the bridge as locos coming out the shed use it, the rail is shiny so possibly it does see use to the spot where I was standing.

  • excellent vid austin 5* as always. although i can only watch the first 4 minutes due to some sort of error. the footage is brilliant hopefully ill try agian later and may be able to watch the hole vid. thanks for sharing. Matt

  • Thanks Matt, as I could only spend one day there I tried not to rush about too much but hopefully the video is a taste of the event. I've played the video through a couple of times and seems ok so with a bit of luck you may be able to watch it all eventually.

  • Fantastic video!

    Thanks for sharing and 5*!

    Bidone

  • Thank you Bidone, I'm pleased you liked the video.

  • Great Videos 5* Jordan

  • Thanks Jordan, glad you enjoy them

  • 1744 looks just the job with the Vintage Train.

  • Quite agree, they have done a superb job with the Vintage Train, I missed out on capturing it in a spot of sunlight unfortunately.

  • AMAZING
