Be careful what you wish for. The gold standard wasn't so great. How you back your currency is a real problem. Ron Paul is absolutely right though, these idiots who keep borrowing are just debasing our currency. But whose fault is that? We run any politican out of town who dare tells us the truth about what we should pay in taxes. We dont want to hear it. Workers pay plenty --work is taxed up to 300% higher than anything. Tax others the same, and we wouldn't need to borrow.

We have 35,000 registered lobbyist -- and probably 35,000 unregisterd influence peddlers. Thats like 1,500 people for EACH member of congress. ANd these folks have ONE job - to get congress to Spend MORE on them, or tax them less.

I admire your zeal - but your ideas dont even address this problem. The 70,000 lobbyist would still be there, still giving jobs to family members, still promising jobs and millions later.

Ron Paul is a honest guy,he has a lot of good points. But if Ron Paul got all he wanted -- no fed -- states rights for slavery -- no labor laws-- no safety laws - no taxes -- no drug laws -- fugative slave return law -- it would be a lot like 1850

No taxes? There are hundreds - if not thousands - of other taxes than the income taxes. Don't feed in to the media frenzy! The incometax accounts for about a trillion dollars, i.e. about 6-7 percent of the american economy. That is money that would get back when the troops are pulled out. Also, if you follow the money you will see that almost 100% of the incometax goes oversees after being "invested" in foreign banks.

One thing Paul is right about -- cut spending enough, THEN cut out the income tax.

But remember, like it or not, government spending is a huge part of fueling the economy. Be careful what you wish for.

states rights for slavery??? hahahaha that's hysterical...States rights i have heard Dr. Paul talk about...but Slavery??? show me where he mentions slavery. states rights means we can govern ourselves instead of having the fed conducting unwarrented searches, arrests and wire taps...i am 15 years old and i don't, repeat do NOT want to grow up in a country that is what america is today...we should be a power for good not for evil.

Sure -- Ron Paul said no one had a right to use force to stop a state from having slavery. That's the same thing as saying a state can have slavery, if it wants to. Of course Paul is agains slavery --but the moron thinks STATES have right and its more important than PEOPLE's rights not to be enslaved. Thats a crock.
