to me it sounds like the girl is at the biys deathbed and to comfort him, because he will die soon, she says all of those things at the begining. she calls them truth but they are all lies to make him feel better (the i hate you part is to make it seem like she wasnt interested, she felt that it would be less painful than to tell him that she loved him and him realizing that they could have been together or something) then after his death she goes back and says the truth calling it a lie.
