Camden high is rolling out the red carpet for Phoenix and Homer this Sat. for their sectional game against Homer.I hope everyone comes and supports the game of football. It may never bring Ridge Barden back but it will help towrds any healing process that needs to have happen. @EStinson24 I am so sorry for your loss of a family member... i graduated from homer in 07. to all the people out there that thinks homer students do not need the counseling because it is not a homer kid think again. iit is hard on the kids at homer also... i feel really bad for the kid who hit him... i am sure it will be with him the rest of his life. wondering weither or not he should ever play again or what would of happened if he didnt play

you dont need to see a video of him being hit have some respect. i was at the game i coach the homer cheerleaders and i watch my girls cry every day now... and i talk with their cheerleaders daily to help them through this tough time. seeing the hit is the last thing that should be on anyones mind. Rest in peace ridge you are missed by so many people.

Such a terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with Ridge's friends and family. @tearbucket2, the ads on the video aren't from the maker of the video. It's Youtube. They have them on all videos.

@PixieButt09 That's not true, this man is either a full partner (I don't think so) or an all-videos-monetized partner which means that he's allowed to place ads on any video he uploads. When he uploads it, there is an option to 'monetize' the video, a button. If you press it, it gets submitted for ads, but you don't have to have ads if you don't want to. They DO NOT appear by default or automatically. He chose to put ads on the video to make money.

I like watching football and other contact sports, but really I could do without it no problem. Maybe someday this gladiator mentality will become a thing of the past. I personally would rather see people becoming productive for peace.
